Last night I had the most violent dream I ever had in my life.........

(In real life, my friend is going through a nasty divorce)

My friend's soon-to-be-ex-husband shot us both, in up close range, with a double barrel shot gun.......she was hit with 3 or 4 bullets and I was hit with 2.....while she was suffering on the floor in front of me, dying, he stabbed her with a kitchen knife to finish her off. I watched and saw her die.

As this was going on, I was kneeling on the floor, blood was gushing up and pouring out of my mouth constantly like a waterfall, (thick, warm, red blood), I was almost choking on it.......and as I was kneeling over, bleeding to death, the ex-husband turned from a red-clothed being into a strange dirty-fuzzy-dirty-white floating being, and stabbed me and finished me off/killed me. As soon as I died, it all went black.......then I immediately woke up from the dream.

NO I do not do drugs, nor do I drink. I eat very healthy, mostly organic. I had a really good weekend, so it is strange I would have such a violent, negative dream.

Usually when I have a bad dream that involves someone, I don't tell them because I don't want to worry them.

Do you think I should tell my friend or not say anything????????

Just curious, thanks in advance for replies.

Hello;

I don't think you should tell your friend.
It might frighten her, and she is probably really stressed as it is.

I think you are feeling her anxiety of this awful time.
That she was killed with a kitchen knife shows that her domestic situation is dying/dead. (knives belong in kitchens, kitchens being the hub of domesticity)...

Perhaps you on your knees is suggestive of the fact that her pain, and her struggles, have upset you so much, you are literally "on your knees."

Blood is symbolic of your life force, but it is said to dream of oneself bleeding is a warning to "avoid any sort of controvesy with friends or relatives" (The Dreamers Dictionary ~ by Lady Steam Robinson).

I think this may be a message to you, to stay out of it if you can.
I mean, be there for your friend of course, but don't get in this man's face or in his business.

This is how I take it.
Best Wishes,
Gypsee

Great! Thank you! I was also thinking of not telling her!!!

It seemed so real, and to think that I was actually killed........I've heard people say often that if get killed in your sleep you really die, but I didn't die!!!

That is a very popular myth.

I always thought I was weird because I have dreamed of my own death since childhood.

I wonder where that myth comes from?
I guess I will have to research that one!!
