Hi all

Had a mixed up dream this morning. It involved a house and garden, it was a run down house but with a very pretty garden, with old trees and lush grass with flowers. It had a traditional atmosphere about it.

I wasn't comfortable in the house as various people were around, the memory is hazy of this part. I moved out to the garden, and suddenly found myself lifted up very high! Like I was floating... but more of the rollercoaster feeling when your stomach dips and churns. I was lifted to the level of the big tree with flowers budding on the leaves. Then i'd drop fast back to the ground.

I know that houses can represent the self? What about gardens?

Any insight would be appreciated .

All the best

Sparkling

Hello Sparkling

You are right, houses can represent self, and as you are not comfortable in this house, it could be suggested that you have recently been uncomfortable with some part of yourself or life.

This garden seems to represent some part of yourself which is 'flowering'/growing, perhaps a part of self which you must look outside of your 'old' self for (leave old house) in order to cultivate ... which leads us to the tree.

Trees can also symbolize self, often reflecting your state of health either physically or psychologically. In this case it seems that we may be dealing more with your psychological state as you are feeling uplifted, and you also associate the sensation with your stomach (center of feeling).

Overall, the dream could be suggesting that you have recently been feeling uncomfortable with yourself or with some situation in your life, perhaps involving others, and you are looking to move away from this part of self or situation into something more gratifying or growth oriented. The dream seems to suggest that as you make this move you will be 'uplifted' emotionally/psychologically, and discover a 'budding' aspect of yourself (budding tree), one which may require "up and down" feelings, but which is awaiting your next move.

How does this sound? Make any sense?

Walk in Peace

Hello Ra

Hope you are well.

The dream is about growth- that is the prominent theme.

This relates to my work at the moment. I am feeling stifled and stagnant in my role. I have highlighed this to my supervisors and will have meetings this week to see how I can develop. I am not comfortable in my role as it is present. I have been doing it for two years and its time for growth. But this is scary to admit at work and its taking courage to do so, hence the feeling in my stomach during the uplifiting moment.
I am still healing from the break up of my relationship and feel that although I learnt from it, I am still in the healing stage. I've been dreaming of my ex boyfriend lately, always attempting to resolve the relationship in the dream and have the happy, mature ending that didn't happen in the reality.

Hello again..

Well, a while has passed and I have asserted myself at work and resolving some of the issues. My ex boyfriend is coming to my city to see if I am doing okay.Just as I am healing and slowly moving on, he pops again in my life.

I have to be strong.

Thanks Ra.

I am trying to hang in there. It's harder than I thought it would be...

I'll keep going and remain strong.
