Well I suppose before I go on to explain the dream I should give you a little insight. I'm 22 and I've had to deal with my dreams since I was a kid. My dreams are can be very vivid. Also most of the time my dreams provoke very strong responses of the negative spectrum of emotion. One of the more gruesome dreams I've had was about the end of the world and it was gruesome, very. I couldn't dream for months and months after that. I've also noticed with smoking weed I can kinda disrupt dreaming and have been an avid smoker for awhile now just to stop them. Well I haven't had any and this occurs to me last night. I typed out the dream as soon as I woke up since I do know the first 10 minutes or so I think it is you start to forget everything until you cannot recall the smallest detail. This is normally true but not for some dreams, some are a scar forever and this is one of them. I normally go on a website which has all the meanings for what things stand out, like losing your car or something like that. This dream I didn't find some awesome meaning that made sense, which often does occur. Anyways enough intro....

So my real first experience with death was a dream I had on September 29th 2010. I dreamt that I moved in with my father and I had a laptop. My father and I spent time with each other on the computer playing games being on facebook. He was getting along well with his x wife and we were living together just fine. We went to a shopping plaza area where his x wife got some driving instruction. She then talked to the instructor and drove away and I thought they had left me but I saw my father's truck come back for me. He was driving backwards down the correct lane for that direction. He then turned the car towards me and then went in reverse until he went over the curb and hit a truck. He hit the truck a ton pushing it a good 5 feet as his bed and that trucks bed crumpled up together. He then put it in drive and came towards the road where I was and the trucks somehow started to crumple up with each other. The last few images I remember before I woke up terrified was his cab getting crunched smaller and smaller until it really was horrifying. It got so crumpled I really didn't expect him to survive, my father descended from the wreckage. He had metal all pushed into his right knee, and a significant amount more pushed into his face it took over the whole right side of his head. He looked real bad I was for sure he was going to die. All I can remember hearing is myself shrieking over and over again "dad" "dad" "dad". I saw an ambulance with its lights flashing arrive on scene. Then I told my dad just sit, sit down, and I woke up.

Honestly I don't know. My relationship with my father has never really existed. From as early as I can remember my mother and my father were split up. I was supposed to spend time with him on the weekends but that rarely happened. Now I have a personal grudge to the extent I required his income information to get financial aide to go to school and he refused to do so. So I just started college now 4 years after I graduated High School, instead of right after. I never talk to him, he comes by my grandparents house every once and awhile but even during his visits our conversations very rarely if ever progress further than hi.

If you were thinking he should pick you up with his truck, and then there's a huge accident, I think it means that you want his direction still, to guide you, but because of the way his life is, it's seemingly out of control, lots of stops and starts and then a blow up, the blow up means he may never be able to guide you like you'd like. The fact that he came back with the truck when you thought he'd gone for good symbolizes your hope for the relationship. But he just can't get it together. Thinking he was going to die would be a stand in for losing the relationship with him, not his actual physical death. So there's a part of you that wants something real with him but you're dealing with the loss.
Do you think his ex wife is in control of the situation for some reason, part of the reason he broke contact?
