I had the dream about me driving off of (and ramping and making it over anyways!) a wooden bridge (logs and all) and the mention in the dream of meteors hitting bridges on the Pennsylvania Turnpike (radio I think?)...? Also, it was winter in the dream judging from the ice, snow and cold weather I had seen around me.

To clarify, the bridge broke just before I drove across it in the dream. I also had mental images in the dream of other bridges suffering the same fate.

The feel I get from this is that the bridge was my last chance to get over to the other side, and also that I barely was getting to this point before it collapsed.

A further clarification: a meteor did not strike this bridge as I was crossing it. It just gave way on its own. The car was also perfectly drivable after ramping the broking bridge, and it felt like I had to pass through a neighboring county (in more hilly/mountainous terrain) after the bridge, but the feel was that I'd be able to make it through. There was also a feel of other people on the other side of the bridge also undertaking a journey and that I wouldn't be traveling with them long if at all, but chances were that they were going to get where they needed to go as well.

I don't remember much in the terms of memories of anyone left behind on the other side. I do also remember the thoughts of having to make it through passes in Oregon as well (in the dream), but still felt I could make the journey.

Granted, in real life there are no such wooden bridges over the turnpike or rivers or whatnot in real life around here, certainly not those made with logs. Also, the direction the mentioned county is in the dream goes north from my current location, and to get to Oregon I would go west or south (on the local Interstate if taking a southern route cross-country).

Finally, the final destination felt like north of Oregon. Which makes sense considering where I'm planning on relocating to (as soon as real life affairs stop being sufficiently stubborn, but my hand is likely to be forced soon anyways).

Anyone want to take a stab at interpreting?

Hello Black Seraph

This dream is all about getting to where you want/need to go and how your "hand is likely to be forced soon ." The dream reflects stress, anxiety, and obstacles you are encountering as you approach the designated time for change.

You are reaching the end of a cycle in your life (winter) and you have a decision to make (ramping onto bridge). This decision may be loosening repressed feelings you have been harboring (collapsing bridge) but you must stay the course, lest the opportunity be destroyed (meteors hitting bridges). You are feeling the pressure of a deadline, or the necessity to make a decision soon, and your mind is often preoccupied with the hurdles/challenges you perceive as being in your future (mountainous terrain after bridge). These anxious feelings are certainly par for the course.

The important thing is that you still felt you could make the journey. As you felt in the dream, others are doing it, and so can you. You can.

Does this make sense?

Two years ago I was forced to make this sort of decision myself, with all of the inherent anxieties. I left everything I knew and loved behind, uprooted my family, and moved to a strange and faraway land (Kentucky ) It was one of the best decisions I ever made.

Don't fear the future, embrace it.

This makes perfect sense. I can feel that I'm being guided to another course of action here. Given the amount of resistances lately this does not surprise me.

(Plus another cable-loss just in time for an extended holiday period like what happened around New Year's earlier this year that knocked me offline for 9 days just as I was about to do a resume blitz online (the very day I was about to start actually!)). And again the utility company that owns the pole did crap. However!!! This time the pole did not break and Comcast was able to get me up and running the same day it went out (they were initially saying 2-day delay, but the wire was alongside the road and I invoked the "State Police might have something to say about that wire..." argument (which is true). It was repaired within hours. The pole still leans (and according to a neighbor it was the second hit-and-run in a week on that pole!).

Something does not want me to make this journey and is still trying to pin me down. I'm now firmly convinced that I'm dealing with something malevolent attempting to block me or get me to self-destruct.

Not happening. Given the circumstances I'm now absolutely convinced that the move is the right choice.

Thank you for your interpretation, it's confirming what I'm feeling.

Kentucky being far-away... were you west coast or great north before? Kentucky doesn't feel like my kind of place, but I'm pretty sure there's some beautiful places there.

I'm glad this made sense.

We moved to Kentucky from Atlanta. Not really a great distance, but it felt like a million miles. We live in Bardstown, "Bourbon Capital of the World", and last year's "Most Beautiful Small Town in America". Its as if we stepped back in time about forty years. We love it here.
