I had this dream, need help interpreting it....I was sitting in a restaurant trying to write in my book but couldnt get my thoughts to come out right. I guess i must have been talking outloud to myself because this young boy with down syndrome was at the buffet getting salad but watching me, when i looked up at him he smiled and laughed and made a heart over his entire chest area with the hearts point ending under his belly button. He looked at his mom while pointing at me as if trying to tell her, shes over here. He did this several times as i was trying to go back to writing and figure out how to say what i needed to say. But i couldnt help but notice him still making the big hearts on his chest and pointing....finally a cute little red headed woman comes and sits down next to me. She obviously has down syndrome also, i dont take either of them very seriously. She says your a writer? I said, i want to be. She shows me a book...she said, this is my book....i looked at it and said, oh, its great you like to read. Then she said, i have 4 other books to....i can help you. Then I suddenly realized the girl in the picture on the front of the book was her, but she didnt appear to have down syndrome in the picture. IP: Logged |

Found one interpretation that i loved and fits very well....A dream about Down syndrome can also mean that you feel like everything around you is getting too complicated and confusing. If you have Down syndrome in your head it means you have a desire to revert to simpler things and start worrying about things that dont matter as much to you. You want to be able to relax for a bit and not allow the world to have such a strong grip on you. IP: Logged |

I do to, they teach us to get back to the basics....and the basics are the purest and deepest truths, they teach love in its purest form, unconditional love.IP: Logged |

Please read it as an opinion: To write a book in a dream can indicate dissatisfaction at work/creative parts and a desire to change the career. If another person in a dream is disfigured, the dream could indicate a personality aspect that the dreamer is not aware of. #4 can stand for the unconscious aspect and relates to the planet Uranus. This dream indicates that satisfaction(=book) can be brought into life(=restaurant,#4) through love(=down syndrome, heart, red).IP: Logged |

could it be that you're trying too hard to write? Maybe this is suggesting to you to get back to a more simple, unedited(?) way of expression. With Down Syndrome I would think that expression comes in it's purest form. ------------------ Don't look back, you're not going that way. IP: Logged |

According to your dream love is found within and there is a lot of that within you as well. quote: Originally posted by Gabby: Then I suddenly realized the girl in the picture on the front of the book was her, but she didnt appear to have down syndrome in the picture.
Although you may not need it.... I wish you a lot of love!

As being sister to a brother with Down syndrome I can only agree. EDIT Oh and they can be very stubborn, if they donīt want to do something, they just wonīt. At least my brother is that way and some others I met.
I think if you want to write, it has to come from your deepest self and be your wish and must not be influenced by anything else, no social conditioning placed on the writing process, just coming out of you.
And "writing a book" really is a synonym for living your life, so I guess the dream is simply telling you to do what you feel inside, and be very truthful about if it is something that really motivates you from within or if you are following some social conditions/ rules or even own rules you once did for you but which are outdated now. You're a Good Soul with a Giving Heart, Gabby. You've had some very very harsh things happen to you in your life... Some people never successfully survive such a background. Don't let your sense of self feel crippled or deformed or lacking. What happened to you is fertile ground, and working for you now. You've been able to help Others, and you recognize that potential in yourself. The wrestling you are doing within, trying to fit all the pieces of your life in, is generating something good (even if there's anxiety concerning it). Part of the process..... Your project is Rich, and the soil & toil will be recognized for its Value by the public. You are increasing The Love available in the Universe. Being authentic with your self, sharing and Creating an awareness that can help people who feel Vulnerable, healing others through sharing stories of your own vulnerable times, and the powerful messages that it's possible to survive an Adverse set of circumstances and events in life, will add much to people's lives. Give them a sense of hope. You are a Fit Human, and A Loving Being. People will come forward in your life that you didn't expect might appreciate your work. Self-criticism... is ~good, yet you could be your own worse critic? Being too harsh on what you're trying to Create can make undue and un-do types of limitations. Embrace your own Talent and Ability. Appreciate that you are making appreciable (double-entendre there is intended) progress in your life. Know and be Secure that what you're working on CAN, will, and does make a Difference. Your subconscious is aware of that. {{Thank you, Gabby }} IP: Logged |

Thank you Ceri!! Its funny, i had a fear of writing because when i first started everyone in my family was trying to get, sneak, streal a copy of my book...they wanted to know how bad it was. If i was writing about them. What exactly i was saying. How many secrets i was telling. I was scared because all my family was part of that cult, id lost them already by leaving the cult. But the "accepted" me back enough that they would speak to me now, although i was not invited to any family gatherings or couldn't stay at their homes. Most wont even be my friends on FB, just my mom n grandma(for my kids sake). So my fear of writing is a fear of losing even more than I already have.... I feel writing will be my way of wriggling out of the last layer of pain and truly freeing myself to become the new me. I can see it like a release of all the ashes inside me, they all blow away over a cliff on a huge mountain. Maybe i need to be more stubborn to get over this fear of losing everyone...i mean who are they now anyway. I know my mom will still love me, shes told me that. Plus the story doesn't tell everyones secrets lile they think it does...I decided not to go into depth so im leaving out the stuff that would humilate some ppl. Its hard though, theres 2 ppl that are in my life that the issues have been worked out and forgiven...but how do i write about it? Everyone would know who they were by the close proximity these ppl had to me. That's another reason i get scared. I don't want to hurt these ppl, i just want to tell my story and release my pain....
