A recent dream from March was so sad, the feeling stayed with me and it keeps bugging me what it means.
maybe someone here can have a go at a meaning..

In my dream I am floating along a large street, its a bright sunny day with bluest sky, the air smells like sweet herbs, trees are lush green. At some point I 'get off' a tram and turn into a small narrow side street. After I enter it I am following a person that suddenly appeared in front of me, I feel like I am floating behind her. She has blond long pony tail, and the top of her head has like plastic glad wrap on it and again hair on top of it like toupee, weird im thinking. We get towards the end of the little street (T crossing) and she disappears, the sun is no longer shining, sky is now greyish. As I stand there I see an old car across the road, and two men doing something like fiddling with it, or trying to get into it, they see me and run away, next moment I feel like Im travelling in the car. Im not driving I just feel like floating in the car along a road, things around seem lifeless, like just before winter, I get an immense feeling of sadness.
At some point I turn into a driveway of a small building. The building is like a square block with windows with white bars, no balconies. I am now standing at the end of driveway and looking at where the building meets the ground. I notice dried clots of lime paint hanging off walls and on the ground. Yuk. I walk toward a rugged looking wood fence and look over to the backyard, there is no life there, just dark damp soil covered unevenly with lime paint, clots again here and there. Im feeling absence of life, not death, just absence of life. Then I turn around and I see my ex at the top of the driveway, standing there just looking at me, not much of a face expression. With alarm and concern I ask 'what is going on here?', and he replies without any enthusiasm or joy, but in a very kind slow tone : this is my home. And I wake up.

May I ask:
Can this dream be a reflection of a current man in your life?

You may have reflected upon the relationship as something that died, that has no life anymore. Your passion for it, the emotions you invested in it, they faded away. Something has died, and you may inhabit some sadness concerning it.

Please read it as an opinion:
Dreams of driving or the car itself can be a symbol of the intoxication of freedom, independence, energy, drive and potency. A dream scenario with cars often reflect a way the dreamer deals on the mental or emotional level with themselves. A car is often for personal space, for the extension of being the dreamer.
Paint in a dream is generally for the externally visible of a person's personality, especially the behaviour and the impression. Peeling of paint in a dream can indicate a pelt in waking life.
This dream indicates to look at the vulnerable side(=fence, building) on the current path(=tram, car, crossroad).

Hello Novabronte

Interesting, GeminiKarat. I believe my thoughts are along the same lines.

Floating along describes your movement through life, which could mean easy or balanced, or indecisive and in need of grounding. Which describes you?

You paint a very nice picture of your life "path" at the moment ... bright, light, and full of growth. Is this a true picture, is it what you need, or is it an illusion?

The side street represents your path, or connection, to your ex and his world, which you perceive as grey, lifeless, and immensely sad. This is in stark contrast to your own "street", and may point to some shift within yourself.

The girl likely represents an aspect of self, perhaps suggesting some issue with your thoughts or thinking (plastic wrap on head), some kind of disconnect between what you know (head) and what you think (hair, as an extension of the head, can symbolize thought).

How is this aspect related to your connection with, or perception of, your ex and his world?

Is the condition of the ex in this dream, especially the sadness, a true reflection of his state of being? A reflection of your concern about him? Or is this a reflection of self in some way?

Just some stuff to think about.

All of what you said resonates in some way.
If this house represents that man - he says this is my home - then it all makes perfect sense. I have to see him for what he is. The path to light is a choice, some people prefer darkness and I have to accept that. We all have free will. Its painful that I could not help this man. I nearly got destroyed in the process.
I had the dream on 8 march 2016, the day of solar eclipse at 18PIC55, in my 6th House.
I think the karmic lesson is done.

Thank you so much, you've pointed me to the right perspective. I thought this is a msg from him, instead of that this is a message for me.

I just noticed your response, you must have posted when I was posting mine... Your 'stuff' is on point

This relationship was a very painful experience. It was a masquerade, a mastery of manipulation and deception. I had a problem with reconciling this because I believe there is goodness in every being, it maybe buried very deep but it is there. He repeatedly said that he is a fallen angel, he used those words... I didn't take them seriously. He reveled in being a wolf devouring sheep, his words again. I think the point is that I felt compelled to help free him from the dark. Whether out of love, or something else, I dont know. And in a way I feel I failed his soul, which pained me more than the destruction he left in his wake. And yet, this experience was somewhat destined to be. It's in my astrology chart, one astrologer looking back at the transits described it as destruction and trauma. Yes there was a lot of pain and sadness. But from the ashes of everything that happened, a major transformation of every aspect of my life came about and I wouldn't have it any other way. I have a very appropriate chart, a kite of death and rebirth, a grand fire trine Moon, Neptune and 6H chiron pushes it out to Pluto focus in 12th. One has to wonder at the great design:-)

So why the dream ? Perhaps this was an 'official' conclusion, healing lol... See what is. Trust your feelings. Practice discernment. Remember who you are.
