hiya. i have a question. why do I have such dark dreams. i dreamnt it happened at night coz it was dark outside and i was with a group of people. a killer was on the loose and was after me. The method the killer used was slitting throats. I was afraid the killer was gonna slit mine. when the light was switched off i ran but wen it was on, i felt safe.i was trying to wake myself up as i knew it was a dream but then i woke up (i thought i did) went back to sleep and the dream continued. i think it was a dream within a dream, the dream was vivid as i felt the actual fear of havin a knife to my throat. not so much as dying tho, wondering what it could mean. xx

Perhaps you are dealing a lot with fears at this time. A fear of being cut in the throat could signify a wound in your expression. Maybe you fear of becoming mute, unable to express something important, and so of dying. It could be possible that there is something that is already hard for you to express, and that is threatening you in the form of the killer or dark dreams in general.
The dream within a dream is a familiar phenomenon. It happens because in a way we are aware that we are dreaming, and when the dream is threatening we try to wake ourselves up. Sometimes we succeed, but at other times our sleep is deeper and we need a more conscious effort to get away from the dream.
