It just occurs to me that "liberal" and "conservative" don't even make sense when you try to apply it to someone decades ago. You can't take someone from her time and easily apply the label because the very names have changed in definition, as have their values. I know my granny gets confused at times because of the changes of what's considered liberal and conservative being different than when she was growing up.

I like to think she'd be above the fray, as both sides get too ridiculous too often. I imagine her instead using charts and intuition when it came to candidates (I could see her as supporting a "Third Party" too), and would probably be inclined to measure things according to values rather than political expediency (ie, the exact opposite of the trend).

She had many progressive ideas, that are still fairly radical for this day, but that doesn't mean she's necessarily one or the other. She had ideas that would be considered strange by many liberals AND conservatives today.

I remember Perot singing, "I'm crazy" by Patsy Cline.

Maybe she wouldn't even vote.

"All deaths are suicides, do you realize that? Every single one. The only distinction is that, with some people, suicide is a subconscious choice, and with others it's a conscious choice. Otherwise, those who commit suicide and those who succumb to accident, illness or "old age," die for exactly the same reason: belief in the inevitability of death." Linda Goodman

Social conservative--she supported very traditional gender roles, anti-reproductive rights, anti-LGBT people (or, at the very least, not very understanding about them). She claimed to be supportive of the Equal Rights Amendment and viewed herself as a feminist, but she had very clear and pronounced ideas about gender roles and they leaned toward the conservative ideals.

That's what I picked up from "Love Signs".

I'd say that she was probably more liberal on metaphysical issues, but a social conservative, as I've already indicated.

So, I suppose that would technically make her moderate or independent?

I don't think that she fits into one neat little category.

She did a complete 180 from Love Signs to Star Signs (after learning from her GURUs).

In Love Signs, she was very adamant against abortion. In Star Signs, she was trying to figure out when the Soul enters the body.

I analyzed her chart here:
http://leftwingastrology.blogspot.com/2016/12/linda-goodman.html

The chart strongly supports her being socially to the right (and thus anti abortion and gay rights, which the authoritarian Pallas may also indicate), but the economic indicators lean strongly to the left. Very interesting.
