Reconfigure all I knew,
painting pink over skies of grayish-blue
Bring new light to the decrepit gloom,
Implode old hauntings, let them not consume

Paternal love has been there all along,
cared best from a distance,
yet deep-flowing and strong.

Mother who slayed all my dragons with heart,
she is warm and affectionate,
Connected right from the start.

Along my way I thank the boys I've loved,
They gave me each such special gifts,
They taught me to feel deeper,
in gripping clarity,
then set me on my way, adrift.

I find a nurturance all it's own,
in the love I have right now.
We bring a mutual grounding light,
in each other's eyes,
inspiration without ensnaring flight.
