As I wander in the lonely streets
I feel one with the rain
Cool water falling from the sky
Cleaning the scars of my pain
And in the theater of my mind
I saw you with love in your eyes
Didn’t care if it wasn’t real
All I cared it was worth the try

My mind is in a sea of thoughts
Wandering so far away
I think of you being at my side
To have some pleasant days
And as I see the things I’ve done
Can’t believe I’ve spend my time
Making trials out of fears
Yet it all remains the same

I feel that for you I broke
With the errors of my past
I had to go against the tides
And to not care that it may last
As I’m feeling one with the rain
I feel like I can start anew
It’s for you that I’m now free
To surrender to the cry of love

As Linda would say when she touched noses with her Twin: "Deep."

BTW -- By 'here' I meant the Northern Hemisphere, USA.

Did you manage to get a 'dusting' there in your region, Randall?

I live southeastern USA, the tropics.

We're supposed to get a cold wave next week, with possible sighting of snow-flurries maybe Wednesday night? (We don't get snows at our latitude.)

I bet that Pearlty can give you an inches-, or FOOT-count where SHE is! ...

Happy New Year all!!
Love your words above LF!

and yes mirage it's brrr here 10 degrees with wind chill -8.. & lots of snow from the last few days, thanks to good old Lake Erie effect snow. I have a pot of beef/vegetable soup going, have a fire roaring in my wood burner.. I'm cozy. I am going to feed the deer some corn each day and pick up some bird seed too.. I feel bad for the creatures in this cold.
Thankful my parents did their snow bird thing and headed South last week, it's chilly there (South Carolina- near Georgia) but not as frigid as here.

I heard birds chirping the past few mornings. They are probably wondering if they really flew south!

AMAZING how cold the weather has been.
Sounds like you're cozy, Pearlty .. and so nice of you to provide for nature's animals.

Glad your parents are still well and on the Go.

I remember the day of my last out of state relo. First week of April. We had had 88" of snow (total). As I boarded the jet, it was "9" Degrees. Hours later, I arrived to where it was "87" Degrees!!

Yes Randall.. more feathers-- or a cupped human hand.

~*~

And sometimes too, I think about ducks that float in very cold waters. They don't seem to mind it? Maybe WE are the ones who 'project' that they must be colder than we think?

Maybe their neural sensory systems don't have as many 'cold' receptors as ours do?

Like, some animals (dogs) can smell sooo much more than we do-- because they have receptors on their nose and tongues for it?
