The Suddeness Of ThatI wanted you
to know
a flower began to bloom
a month ago
It was pretty
but it was still February
and winter took it
away from us Now, in spring,
helpless and vulnerable,
I send my roots
inside you and cry
warm tears of sunny nights
Filled with laughter and passion
when we created a miracle
that is now praying for us. The way I used to sing
my a-b-c
in grammar school,
saying all there is to say
without uttering a word.
"Such a silent grave,"
whispers the wind that blows
over the world,
