Hello everyone,
It's been a while since I gave my self a reading. Being that I am in a time in my life were I need one I decided to give myself the 7 day reading. Any way today I pulled the Three of Swords which scared me. What does this card represent or mean? Is it really as bad as it seems?
Thanks-Jupiter

I don't use Tarot, and have never had a reading... but here's what I found on the net:

Tarot Cards - The Three of Swords
The Three of Swords
The Lord of Sorrow

Numerical Value: 3

Divinatory meaning
Upright - Sorrow and extreme pain. With a positive view in end: upheaval, separation, disruption and discord. Heartbreak, tears, strife, conflict. The clearing of that which is obsolete to make way for that to come. Establishment of something better.

Ill Dignified or Reversed - Spiritual and mental confusion, loss, discord, treachery and sorrow. War, breaking of a truce, quarrels and enmity. Physical or mental disorder

Does anyone else have any other interpretations for the 3 of Swords, as in, more in depth? Particularly of interest to me is the Reversed position. Thanks.

Bear with me here...Im not very good at explaining what goes on in my mind...lol.

The three of swords reversed can mean that someone is being heartbroken for the sake of drama. In other words like feeling like they are doomed and crippled because of the heartbreak when in reality the pain isnt as bad as it seems. Kind of like an illusion of pain.

When upright I take it to mean a heartbreak pain that is neccesary to learn from.

Greetings...

The 3 of Swords can represent a feeling of separation from God. The loss of the Androgyne of the Soul or the separation of this energy into the dual masculine and feminine aspects. It can represent the darkness before the dawn, separation of a relationship and/or divorce.

Reversed it shows Wisdom gained from a painful experience. Reconnecting with Faith in the Self (God). It shows the hardships and struggles that make one turn within and set the foot back upon the Path. Depending on what it's near it can show an end to pain and suffering.

Hope that helps a bit.

In the Light...
A
