The Prayer:
I invoke the pure white light of the Goddess, and I direct the light at this time,
to give me the ability to see clearly, to hear clearly, to speak clearly and to interpret in the manner that is best for all concerned. I give thanks for the light.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You

*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*

You should say this prayer before you do a reading. Does not have to be done out loud, but always ask for clarity and always give thanks. The Goddess and the Spirit of the Tarot like that!!!

Hi La-Tee-Da
Yes please continue. It's very interesting. Sorry I can't contribute as I don't know enough about The Tarot but am very interested in learning.

I think we also have a lot of "silent readers" who will be really enjoying your posts.
Thank you for taking the time to do this for everyone

hi la-tee-da!

please continue!!! it is very interesting how you are also writing down the biological symbols of each suit. this is a first!

would you mind explaining a little how you would interpret signs of health within a tarot reading? like a broken leg, or, i dunno, a root canal???

thank you!

You guys are sweet!!!! ***doing cartwheels in the livingroom*** I am glad you guys are enjoying this....my server has been down for the last 2 or 3 evenings, so I am slow in replying.

Aphrodite (that sexy name!)...the way I determine a disease state is as follows: say the spread has alot of cups...cups being involved with diabetes, illness of the sweets, OR the GRAND emotions of LOVE....i look at the spread carefully and check to see what other cards are present. Say the ACE of cups or the 10 of cups is present, then I generally know that it involves love with the potential of marriage....BUT not always.....I have to let the Spirit of the Tarot guide me. Don't automatically jump the gun and see disease when it is not there or by the same token, see love when it is not there. The messages will be given to you loud and clear!! Trust me!! The Spirit of the Tarot likes to be heard!!

Even when I do readings via email, I still listen for the Spirit to speak. I did one for a loved friend not too long ago, and in the middle of a love message, I got the message "tell her to get a check-up ASAP". So see, when you become "in-tune" the messages will come.

Homework!!! Aha!! You thought you were immune from homework!!!

NINE Wisdom Card Exercise

Do the cleansing and prayer as taught in the first lesson.
Break the deck of cards and gently tap them together 3 times to break the energy from a previous reading.
Think of a question and begin shuffling the cards. Continue to hold the question in your mind as you shuffle. Make your question the same everyday!!!!
For example, "What will I learn today?"
Cut with the left hand, to the left, three times...makes 4 piles. Pick up the piles right to left to make one stack.
Continue to focus on your question. Count 8 cards from deck and turn up the 9th card.
That is your answer.
*+*+*+*+*+*+*++*+++*+*++++**+**+*++*
Write down your question in a notebook and everyday record your 9 card answer. Make sure you also write the date down. Everyday check what the card means, from your reference book....AFTER you have meditated on what the Spirit of the Tarot is trying to tell you. Write down the messages you have received before you check the references.
Let's do this for 7 days and then discuss what we all felt and "saw", okay?

Hi all I am a silent reader and keep this string updated in my faves. I have no time to give the tarot the attention it deserves, but I am so eager to learn. When I slow down in the fall, I will devote time to learning & am so happy this will be available to me. So, if I ask questions on down the road, I`m just catching up
Great teaching skills La-Tee-Da & thanks for the high energy.
peace, juniperb

Sorry for the silence on my part but at work Last week was the busiest week of the year, and the next two I'm acting manager. I'm not sure If I'll be able to participate, I don't have any deck of cards at all. But I will certainly be paying attention.

Hey Foxxy....just glad you could drop in!! If you do get a deck, try this exercise. It gives you so much insight and allows you to be introduced to the Spirit of the Tarot. Plus it gives you a feel of what the different cards mean.
Bright blessings and don't work too hard!!

Just thought of something....if you guys don't have a reference book on Tarot, NOT TO WORRY.....just save your info as requested and I will provide reference book interpretation for you...that way, you won't have to spend money on a book, you'll still learn and we can all have fun!!

Hi La-Tee-Da!

I just went out and bought a deck, so I've only started the exercise today. I promise to post my answer by the 24th.

The answer I received today - couldn't match it to the question I asked, but was very pertinent to another situation in my life. Hmm. The Tarot works in mysterious ways, ay? Anyway, more details after my homework's done.

Aqua.......yes, it knows what is in your heart, so if the situation is using alot of your strength, that is the question that it will answer for you. The Spirit is very mysterious, huh?
