Hi

I think this is a really cool spread if you have a new tarot deck to get to know how you can work best with it. I got it from Aeclectic.
http://www.tarotforum.net/showthread.php?t=44573

Here it is:

****** 5 ****** 6 ******
********** 4 **********
****** 3 ****** 2 ******
********** 1 **********

1. Tell me about yourself. What is your most important characteristic?
2. What are your strengths as a deck?
3. What are your limits as a deck?
4. What do you bring to the table -- what are you here to teach me?
5. How can I best learn from and collaborate with you?
6. What is the potential outcome of our working relationship?

I like this one soooo much
I tried it out on almost all of my decks. It's really fun
My oldest deck gave me the weirdest 'what can come of this'-answer: 2 cups RX. Which I in the end translated on me starting to work with other decks too

1- Emperor
2- ace of swords
3- 4 of cups
4- 3 of swords
5- ace of discs
6- 10 of cups

My deck wants to father me?! lol
The ace of swords as the strengths I do like, honesty. The 4 of cups as the limits confuses me a bit... Now the 3 of swords as what it has to teach me, is heartbreak? That blows. Not sure how the ace of discs plays out afterwards for collaboration...but the 10 of cups is saying 'I'm here to stay, through thick and thin', I like that

edit- Just had a thought, I wonder if the ace of discs is saying I can use this deck as a source of income/extra cash?

From my mystic faerie tarot

1- knave of swords
2- King of Wands
3- 8 of wands
4- Knave of Wands
5- The Devil
6- Ace of Cups

The two most puzzling cards are the 8 of wands and the Devil. I think the 8 of wands means that the readings it gives me are not good for short term readings? The Devil for collaboration...do I have to sign in blood? lol

The knave of swords looks naturally inquisitive here. She's swinging from a branch in this adventures way, but she doesn't look immature. The tarot book describes her as "confident and intelligent...understands the theory behind anything that she wants to do. And to her that's all you need. If you have an intellectual understanding, why should you not be able to just do something?" Also that she is impulsive but lucky.

So it's strengths are the King of Wands, of a leader, would help me to devise an appropriate plan of action. The book mentions that he focuses on one project at a time to the exclusion of all else...so in this case I should only ask long term questions until they have come to pass?

No idea what to say to the 8 of wands as limits...

The knave of wands is described as observing and studying before he takes action to avoid looking like a fool so I guess that is what I can learn here? To think before I act, quite in contrast to the knave of swords and her impulsiveness..

I do like the potential of our working relationship. It's interesting how I got the ace of cups here and the 10 of cups in the other. I think it's safe to say that the decks both love me and I them. Lots of potential here

For my last deck, the llewellyn tarot

1- King of Swords (my least favorit king :/)
2- Queen of Pentacles
3- Nine of Pentacles
4- Page of Wands
5- 8 of Wands
5- Tower

Well the King of Swords is very much an authority and a commanding presence, someone to pay attention to, whose word is law and is not to be crossed. My impression from what I see here. So it seems that this deck speaks the truth and I should take it's word.

Queen of Pents...hmmm...so the strengths of this deck are it's wealth of knowledge? She looks very poised, secure, confident, like she knows what to do get what she wants but not in a manipulative manner, more like a Capricorn, through hard work. I've learned to appreciate the Queen of Pentacles, she's very homey, has built her surroundings with care and is protective of it, like she's someone that you can always go back to...

Limits as 9 of pents...not to seek self-fulfillment? Or I guess the deck is not here to win a popularity contest and tell me what I want to hear.

It's hear to teach me to be adventurous, to bring me good news, and excite me...

How to best use this deck as 8 of wands. The description is interesting; "Opportunity. Swift response. Thinking on one's feet. Opening. Adventure. Chance to make great progress if one has the courage and wits to act quickly. Travel entailing a spiritual lesson. Can signify falling in love. Time of hope. Make your move. Opportunity afoot; make haste. Whirlwind of romance. Arrows of love." I'm wondering if I should use this deck specifically for love questions then. Maybe if I figure out a timing method this deck would be good for that too.

The Tower as potential working relationship, that doesn't look to hopeful.. I did pick it up out of the blue after it had been sitting around for a while.

Wow LC. You have been busy I even have a set with a 'Tower' personality, which is awesome cause of the flashes of insight & one with 10 of swords. Not sure how that will turn out yet. Rather dramatic touch I assume, lol.
3 of swords, is more like getting to the core of subjects (heart of the matter), I think.
Jess, you can just ask the questions by the position 1 by 1. Or just do it as a spread & first read the positions, shuffle, deal

hmmm...ok the 3 of swords makes sense there. It's from this deck that I often get phrases in my head. For example I got world-lovers-4 of cups for a reading once and it made me laugh because of how literal and no bs it was. I read it as "the world is giving you/him (a guy I was asking about at the time) lovers but you/him isn't interested." Because he was sulking he couldn't 'see' the offer that was there.

What do you think of the other ones? The Devil for best collaboration...could mean feel free to ask sexual questions?

Now that you mention the Tower as progressive relationship I can see how it may be about random flashes of insight...its the deck I use the least although its got amazing imagery.

How about working excessively with that deck? (Devil). But yeah, maybe sexual questions could work too. Lol. Or just lie down on the bed and light a candle when working with this deck playing naughty background music.
I have one deck with Devil as outcome. And I DID get addicted to working with it.

Ps: this is off topic. But I have been reading so much it feels like my third eye is open all the time & I can feel constant pressure on that point. Have you had that? I keep trying to close it, but my house is kind of like a reading temple & not sure how to "close it" when I want to just relax. Any ideas?

Lol! You crack me up
I guess that deck would best utilized for daily readings...or asking questions repetitively....

The only thing I can think of is maybe laying down with a piece of selenite on your forehead. I did this once and felt better after. Also I try to cleanse my decks by putting a piece of selenite on them as well. I'm not sure if I've had your specific issue before so it's hard to say...but whenever I've wanted to block things I would imagine a brick wall closing me off and blocking/stopping whatever was bothering me.

Can't belief I didn't think of that. Gem stones is a great idea! I gave most of my collection away a few years ago, but I'll shop for new ones tomorrow.
I use gemstone bracelets while reading, but that's just to be gentle, not for my protection.
I may buy some black stones like obsidian. Lovely saturn influenced for an immediate dose of reality (yay! lol)

I think it's black tourmaline that blocks everything though (good/bad any and all energy), obsidian is good for absorbing negativity and selenite is good for protecting/ blocking bad energy while cleansing and it's self cleansing too which is the best part. I had to grid my room with it bc of an unfriendly 'visit' about 2 years ago. Ironically, it was right after I decided to start reading tarot as a way to help people.

I did that with the witches deck, cause it keeps on baffling me. I like it, but it seems very, I don`t know, harsh? Dramatic? not entirely trustworthy? Painting in too bold colours?

"1. Tell me about yourself. What is your most important characteristic?"

TOWER.
lol
Well, that fits the "too bold, too dramatic" I suppose. But is that good or bad?

2. What are your strengths as a deck?
HERMIT

Allowing for self-reflection?

3. What are your limits as a deck?
Queen of Wands

???

4. What do you bring to the table -- what are you here to teach me?
7 of swords

That not all decks are trustworthy?
Is that deck lying to me????

5. How can I best learn from and collaborate with you?
2 of pentacles

???

6. What is the potential outcome of our working relationship?
STAR

Hmm, so far it seems that this might be a deck reflecting more my thoughts, fears and wishes, than actually telling me what is going or how would you interprete that?

5. How can I best learn from and collaborate with you?

and my dark fairy tale deck

1. Tell me about yourself. What is your most important characteristic?
2 of pentacles

2. What are your strengths as a deck?
5 of wands

3. What are your limits as a deck?
Empress

4. What do you bring to the table -- what are you here to teach me?
Lovers

5. How can I best learn from and collaborate with you?
Justice

6. What is the potential outcome of our working relationship?
Ace of Swords

A straightforward and rpetty blunt deck I suppos. But I like the ace of Swords there, clarity is a good thing to receive through tarot.

Your RW deck seems ostentatious lol

10 of pentacles- "I have longevity, legend, been around a long time"

6 of wands- "None. I have no limits."

6 of cups- "You will always come back to me"

LOL!!!

I like your fairy tale one the best. The witches deck for some reason my be able to be used with other decks (2 of pents) balance.. I think the Hermit points to inner reflection and that's how it would best be used. Help you to see all the resources you have so that you can understand things better to get what you want (7 of swords).

LOL yes the RW is very ostentatious. Calendar word, hu?
(you can only understand this if you have seen the Remake of "Alfie", if not, donīt mind. lol)

I like the fairy tale one best, too. It has the perfect mixture of reflection and clarity to it I feel.

Aquarian Deck
1. Tell me about yourself. What is your most important characteristic?
Lovers
2. What are your strengths as a deck?
Queen of Pentacles
3. What are your limits as a deck?
King of Swords
4. What do you bring to the table -- what are you here to teach me?
Ten of Swords (ouch?)
5. How can I best learn from and collaborate with you?
The World
6. What is the potential outcome of our working relationship?
Hierophant

This deck feels a bit manic depressive to me. It seems like it wants to bring down hard truths and discipline me.

Mini Albano-Waite
1. Four of Swords
2. Hanged man
3. Justice
4. Three of Swords
5. Three of Cups
6. Knight of Cups

I get the sense that this deck wants to show me how to live and let die in some sense. But it's a tricky one because it may not be balanced in its readings.

Rider Waite - Bad vibes from this deck
1. Four of Pentacles
2. Knight of Pentacles
3. Ten of Cups (as limitation?? hmm...)
4. Two of Swords
5. Ten of Swords (more doom)
6. Four of Cups (perplexing outcome)

Just don't even know what to make of this deck. I was getting weird vibrations in my body while shuffling.

The Wild Unknown (new best friend)
1. Nine of Wands
2. Son of Cups
3. Eight of Wands
4. Three of Pentacles
5. Father of Swords
6. Daughter of Cups

I feel like this deck is all about support and growth. It may not be able to tell me specific news or predict things, but it's good at helping me expand emotionally.

The RW reflects your feelings for it. 4 of cups, eventually you're going to grow disinterested.

Daughter of cups, (page?) you're going to fall in love with this deck. Father (king?) be honest with the deck.

Lol. Your Rider Waite cracks me up Twitterbird.
How do I collaborate with you? "Don't collaborate."

I agree with LC there. Very much your feelings, but just don't work with it for now if it triggers so much dislike in you.
