Every card resonates, more than you think...and your interpretation too.9 of pentacles is always an interesting card, so many possible meanings...It is the card of my Venus in Virgo. They say it sometimes shows overnight success, after a period of long struggle and preparation/work, enjoying the fruits of one's labor (in this respect, the obstacle in your spread could actually be timing - a certain moment in time, with nothing happening before that); but also having clear goals, taking a break, financial success etc. One possible meaning is what you say; another could be the opposite: every protagonist needs to be by themselves, self-reliant, before getting together; this too is very possible. I will meditate on that until I capture the actual meaning here. Timing could be an issue too.

Thanks, hunny. Im glad it resonates.Keep in mind that 9 of pentacles was in the position of " possible obstacles" and make the best of it . You know better which of the two options for this card applies to you - the obstacle could be the lack of self love and lack of asserting yourself, or the opposite - relaying on yourself too much and make inportant ppl in your life as if you dont need them much. Virgos tend to do the latter.
Btw, im just reading about the Dog on two different sites ( the spread you did for me)
and both sites refer to the Dog in love readings as you soul mate.

Just came back, so couldn`t pull cards yesterday, but doing so now.
Mountain - Man - lily - Stork - fish
either in the past or in the present there seeem to be some delays/ obstacles to be overcome in relation to MR probably. But the rest looks so positive. Lily the sensual harmonious emotional relationship you have, and with Stork together I keep getting the image of a possible pregnancy. However it might also simply signify a change, a development, moving away from those delays/ obstacles (whatever they are) and deepening and enrichening this soulunion.
Snake clarified Mountain - so I guess jealousy and/ or something related to sexuality could represent the delay/ obstacle.
