For the past few days, I've noticed a friend acting strangely. I decided to pull some cards, and I got 6 of wands, 7 of swords, and reversed 9 of swords.

This seems kind of powerful, though no major arcana cards are involved.

I see a lack of trust here -- not sure if it means I shouldn't trust this person, or if the person is feeling that way toward ME.

The vibe has definitely been weird. almost elusive. I don't think I'm being paranoid here. Especially with Venus going retrograde soon, while in its shadow phase.

Any insight?

Normally, I don't read reversed cards, but in this case right next to that 7 of Swords I immediately get the impression, that you're right, it is NOT all in your head, but your hunches must be right.

7 of Swords is mostly a warning sign. I often get it when friends... ehm... people acting to be my friends talk sh*t behind my back, having hidden motives, jealousy, envy, etc.

9 of Swords is often the "paranoid" card, when thinking about negative stuff gets overwhelming. Being reversed, I think those swords are falling off the wall, which can mean that thinking or overthinking is unnecessary in the situation, because you already know the facts.

When I smell that something is not right - be it behaviour or even the whole atmosphere - then I am always right. c:

As I currently can't edit any posts, I just wanted to add one more question. Seeing 6 of Wands - Have you gotten any promotion and/or have you been highly successful in something recently? Because success very often draws hidden/nor so hidden enemies, and if your answer is a major yes, then the message is pretty clear to become very cautious, and perhaps to do some Spring cleaning in your group of friends.

I appreciate your responses. It definitely seems like a warning of some sort. I have not been promoted, though this person works with me. I'd asked the day after how I made his particular person feel, and I drew:

8 of wands, 10 of pentacles, 10 of cups.

So, who knows? Very odd. THis hand is exactly opposite of the other hand.

Interestingly enough, the person in question was out of the office for a few days afterward. Today, all seemed pretty normal.

Just wanted to an update. For research purposes wanted to reveal what the cards had been trying to communicate with me.

I didn't find out until months later, but found out this person in question above, spread lies about me to my coworkers. Another coworker I grew close to asked me one day if this rumor she heard was true, and it surprised me.
