I have some questions about tarot...

1. Can someone be a good reader if you are not intuitive?

2. How to choose desk?

3. Where can i find some good resources to learn?

2 cents:

1. IMHO, yes. All you have to do to be a good reader is read the cards (the way you would read a story in pictures). The part that budding readers appear to struggle the most with is knowing which of the multiple interpretations of individual cards to link to between individual cards. The solution to this is designing a reading for each question, giving the cards positions which make it easier to determine which aspect of the card is most pertinent to the reading as a whole. It really is an intellectual exercise a lot of the time, but you do have to think creatively. It could be said that reading like this can increase intuition over time as this method becomes more 2nd nature and you begin to see patterns between card groupings.

2. Desk or deck? I don't have a reading desk, I read anywhere. If you meant deck, then I think any of them can work in theory. A common mistake is changing decks a lot and never fully building an intimate relationship with any one deck. So, I would suggest picking the one that resonates with you the most and read with it until you feel it is an extension of you. Remember the cards are a tool. Just like the hammer is an extension of the hand in order to do a job, the cards are also an extension of the reader. Are there good and bad hammers? Sometimes, but not really.

3. The best way is to read, and read the cards themselves. It's like learning astrology - grasp the basics of the deck you have chosen and then read the cards at every opportunity. A good, broad source of information on reading with the Rider Waite deck can be found here:
http://www.learntarot.com/top.htm

I think they also have some info on other decks, but they illustrate their guidance on reading tarot through the Rider Waite deck.
