Traditionally, yes 7 of swords is negative to MOST, however it isn't ALL bad. You can use it as a strategy card.
Say you have a lot of irons in the fire. You're struggling to them all. You need to put more effort in one so you begin to structure the path in how you need to put your energies.

The artwork reflects someone appearing to run off as in a thief but if you found the one energy behind you was NOT
worth the loss of those others you need to place in front, well you might look like the 7 of swords.

pls don't quote

..
a personal story. When I was a young teen, my aunt had me over for the weekend. I awoke to smoke, as well flames, 2 apartments over a raging fire was destroying the bldg I was in.
Unfortunately my interest was not to find anything but my wardrobe. (I was a teen who worked for her own apparel) Yet I was told firmly, "you need just YOU ~ get out". So I had to run off and sadly, frightened, in my after thought the 2 kittens my aunt had there, were still upstairs. I wanted to run up there, fire marshal wouldn't allow it. Good story, only losses in that fire were material based. No lives lost. One broken ankle from a window jump. That was all. The building was pretty ruined but it was restored quickly.

To see this card in this light, you have to be practical, when one or several smaller things hold you back. Look to the most beneficial route and if need be, leave what is lesser significance ~ behind.

This card to me (intuitively) relatees with the tower. One version the feet are red. As though they jumped outta that tower and need to seek refugee. Everyone sees as they want- but not every card is ALWAYS bad. Each story has it's own magical meaning.

The 7 of swords is not necessarily negative. It depends on its position in the reading and who the energy is directed toward. The depiction on the card is of an opportunist.

For example, if the reading is for yourself and the position is 'what should I do', the card is telling you to look out for opportunities, loopholes and to make a quick decision. The swords are the mind, and so it can also relate to having to think on your feet, as opposed to long reflection.

It can relate to someone behaving this way toward you. So again, depending on the designation you have given the card in your reading, you would do well to keep your eyes peeled for someone trying to take advantage of you.

The 9 of Cups is not always a positive card. Sometimes too much choice is a bad thing. Food for thought.

yes! Thank you. In my recent readings (I do read cards for myself) I get so many "CHANGE is coming" line. Above post is one of my reading.
Another reading I did, included Tower in position 1 and Ace of pentacles as crossing card. Background: I am moving jobs. From good to better if you will. But I am scared though

Yes. The Tower could represent your fear. The Tower is more often than not a result of limited thinking that the querant is suddenly shaken out of by a catastrophic event or an epiphany. It is a very Plutonic-Uranian card. The Tower burns and the phoenix (you) rise from the ashes. But any imprisonment in the Tower in the first place is often self-made or self-imposed and often at the level of the mind, rather than the material world.
