Yippeeeeeeeee : ) My copy of Gooberz is born on this day 9 February 2010 in Songsan-ri, Korea, at 09h16! (I'm working out a chart for everything these days... actually I still have to learn to interpret a little better but quantity over quality will have to do for now!)
Now, a first random line from my Goob:
OK my eyes first fell on:
"you knew about my shaggy, Old English sheep dog/ I loved with all my heart, and christened/ Heathcliffe" ...
Cool. I am SOOOOO happy. I decided after many years to order it through the internet and it comes to me on a fitting day ... the day after I signed the new contract for my new school. OK the weird thing is I never wanted to read it until recently when finnaly I was able to let go of ... you know it ... a guy, who I (of course) believe VERY fervently is my twin flame ... Quite honestly I was suicidal over him until recently when the universe got through to me finally with the instruction that I should be patient and wait. So I'm hoping Gooberz will help make the waiting easier : )

Yay for you TINKIE!! You know, I got this book as a gift during a time in my life when I was so heartbroken it was pathetic! It did make me feel better, cause it's about the power of love never dying, which is a lovely way to think of it. Like, I imagine that there is another dimension, and a certain person and I, are living together in bliss there, it sounds crazy, but it gives me comfort. I hope you enjoy your book!!

Thaaaaanks Gypsee ... I've wanted this book for so long. Funny thing ... I didn't realize how thick it would be. Now that sounds VERY suggestive lol : ) Anyway everything in my life is in stasis right now as I'm moving jobs, flats, vacationing, etc. so I feel soooooo bad about not posting a lot on LL ... but as soon as spring rolls around I'll snap out of my hibernation ... At the moment I'm going from manic cleaning of my old flat and packing stuff to zoning out like a zucchini in front of the TV and watching anything and everything! Aaaah ... vacation : )

Yes, it is a thick book, good for reading, smashing spiders, holding doors propped open, many things...KIDDING, I never kill spiders and I don't put books on my floor.

Well, you deserve a rest, so enjoy your zucchini time. I cannot believe you are actually WATCHING tv, and not ON tv though!
Cause I know you do love your singing!

Just take one Canto at a time. It reads quickly, but try to savor it, and pay attention, as minor details turn into major things later.

Thanks Randall ... that's actually sort of what I'm doing ... I really haven't made it very far yet, I'm still in the childhood part which really resonates with me ... I really love the style though I wish I could have written a book like that ... it's really beautiful inside and out because the poetry is so wonderful and the contents is also so wonderful .... It's really like listening to someone speaking right from the heart ... : )

Usually I'm not lazy about reading books but in the past few years (three years or so) having cable TV has turned me into a mindless channel hopping cross between a carrot and a zucchini ... However, in my new flat I haven't had cable and internet connected yet (I'm writing this from my classroom) so I decided to give up TV for a while with the result that I'm actually READING again! Yay cool! Yet somehow I can't bring myself to plough into Gooberz too fast ... Weird? Maybe it's that everything is so intense or it seems like it's somehow meant to be savoured ... Anyway I decided to read the next heading, which is I think April Fool on April Fool's day to help synchronicity along. At the moment I've finished with the part where Linda gets upset over 'sad' and 'glad' rhyming! I must say I totally agree ... you'd think that if concepts were true opposites they'd be like clearly way different in how they sound and look in language and on paper ... but nope .... Well anyway since I'm into language and since I'm teaching phonics and the alphabet to kids I'm quite into rhyming and I'm reading a looooot of books that rhyme! However, I've written a story using only the first thirteen letters of the alphabet, a - m, and every word has to have three letters and the vowels must be the "short" a, e, and i. Consequently I came up with a great story which I'm sure would be a hit if I could just get a great illustrator.
The title is:

"Bad Fig"

Well there's not much to the story but at least it's really easy to read : D
Anyway I'm mentioning it here because it really is peculiar how we who are literate forget the time before words came so easily ... Being able to get down to the level where "glad" "sad" and "big" and "fig" become like really weird and fascinating and intrigueing is quite a feat ... anyway it's helpful when teaching kids to be able to be as helpless as in wonder of words as kids can be ...

Well I just have a few pages to go and I confess I skipped to the last pages to find out what happens so now I'm digesting all the stuff that "Heathcliffe" tells her while she's in trance mode ... I must say I thought ALL the secrets would be revealed in this book but it seems the "appointed time" is like a rainbow ever fleeting a few steps ahead ... I have in the past found it hard to agree with everything in Linda's books but yet after some years of experience I've come to agree with them ... I think the truth about life the universe and everything is so complicated that you can only take in a little bit at a time ... as for me I'm now taking on board and thinking about the seven year Saturn cycle ... I was especially curious to read this book because it just so happens that I met (of this I am totally sure) my own 'Twin S-elf" (!!) in 2003 and I couldn't understand why things didn't work out between us and how it was possible to be hurt so much by someone who was at first nice to you ... I've learned to accept that there are things I must wait for that will come in their own time and they can't be rushed because I'm just not ready for them yet ... So the book so far is like a hugely powerful incentive to me to develop spiritually if you know what I mean ...

Finished Gooberz this weekend. Sigh ... What a great book. I really feel like it's given me something to lean on, knowing I'm not alone feeling the way I do ... Last year round about this time I trued to get in touch with my Gooober but he was like "Oh, go ... sit on the tracks!". Anyway, I seriously decided to kill myself and only figuring out what North Node means karma-wise made me change my mind ... Mine is in Capricorn so I figured my feeling that I can't go on alone was a Cancer South Node illusion, and actually I must say I've been feeling much better. My Gooober can go .... SMELL A ROSE!!

Hi,

So nice to read your story.

I have been waiting for so long to get a copy of this great book... I even ordered it from US about three months back, since it's not available in India where I live. But just a fortnight ago I got a mail from them saying maybe they lost the book in post and would refund me the money. I was heartbroken. Still trying to figure out how to get my hands on it... Any bright ideas welcome

Thanks for bumping my thread! I have a lot of stuff on my mind and I've been thinking I should comment on some of it somewhere here in LL ... The main thing that's happening to me is I seem to be getting slightly more in tune with the universe and it's helping me through what would otherwise have been rather stressful times! OK so here's the weird thing that happened, was happening, is still happening recently ... A while ago, more or less just a little before North and South Korea exchanged fire I had a rare Scorpio temper tantrum ... over a speech contest! Don't ask. I wanted things done my way. The (new!) pprincipal wanted things done HIS way. Grrrr. So I couldn't understand why I got so angry and thought there was probably more behind it, in my unconscious so to speak, and so I drew a tarot card for the situation, which was the six of swords, which indicates among other things the possibility of changing jobs. Then not long after I got the news that my contract at my current school wouldn't be renewed. Aaaaarrgghh! Freak out city! But luckily I had noticed that Saturn was entering my seventh house and squaring everything! like my moon and my MC and opposing my ascendent and it was like ... aha ... the whole Saturn thing. I must say that's something really interesting and seemingly more and more true the more I think about it and observe stuff in my own life and that of my family, that Saturn is really like a 'timer'. I figured that actually the whole thing meant it was time for me to put certain things behind me and start anew on other things. Now the things to put behind me are my isolation it seems, because I've been happy in this tiny little country school in the middle of nowhere, where I am king (sorry queen) of the castle. However with Saturn now finished with my sixth house I am healthier than before and more fit (I've been jogging around as those in the know know) and also I'm taking teaching more in my stride. Teaching is actually easy. All you have to do is be really scary. And I'm very scary... hahaha. No seriously I've developed my singing voice to almost Axl Rose standards by yelling stuff like "sit down" .... "sit down now! ... with your bum on the chair, not your feet on the chair ... no, don't try to sit upside down!!" (Kindergarten). Anyways so I guess I've got the job thing down and that's why I'm now being move to a NEW job in a GIANT school in the suburbs. Noooooooo!!! The suburbs!!!! Aaaarrrgghhhhh! Well Korean suburbs are a little different from Western suburbs ... basically high-rise apartments and manicured parks, but still it's the suburbs. Some would say I'm moving up in the world. I'm like, so I should start interacting with other people or what? I'm not happy about that. Hey maybe I'll get married ... as soon as my twin gets his head out of his a s s. Anyways, since this is a Gooberz topic ... I'm waiting for the guy I love to turn 28 and maybe a more sensible mood will come over him them what with the saturn return. But I'm not counting on it. Locked all my feelings away in a deep dark box in a deep dark hole in a deep dark cave. Anyway I definately noticed in my brother, who turned 28 last year, and who was visiting in Korea recently, a whole different demeanor. Weird. As for me if Saturn is now at the start of my seventh house where it last was when I was 10 years old I guess it's almost like my life is starting now. I can destiny pulling me like some crazy magnet and it's SOOOOO annoying not knowing EXACTLY where it'll take me.
