Hi, Randall...

I've read the entire book~

------------------
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Someone posted this... thought to share

Canto Twenty * 877

"there was indeed..do you not recall
the cruel matchstick forts
the boys in the neighborhood sought to use
to tease you into bribing them to stop ?"

"yes yes..oh, please don't make me remember
it hurts so to remember..even now
what lesson..was that meant to teach ?"

"it relates to..druids
or more properly to..Druids
with a capital 'D', you see"

"druids ? I mean..Druids ?
what do my teeny-tiny druids have to do
with such cruelty as the burning matchstick forts ?"

"you properly, as a child
spelled druid with a lower case 'd'
for these were Nature Spirits
who were gentle, quiet timid and shy
and very, very magical

you had..a relationship to these druids
which is not yet time to reveal
but you should be aware that they existed
in Britian..many, many centuries
earlier
than the Druidic Priests
which the latter-day historians have recorded

these Druidic Priests, with sinister subtlety
adopted, in a gross distortian of Truth
their names - Druids - from the
much older Nature Spirits
who were rightfully outraged
at this theft of their essence and identity
by priests of cold cruelty and torture

even to this very day, the genuine druids
are greatly distressed by the ancient deception"

"even to this very day ?"
there are still..druids..hiding here and there ?"

"there are indeed..as real as can be"

"will they ever reveal themselves to me ?"

"why not..wait and see ?
they have the power, you know

Canto Twenty * 875

to take human form, if they should wish"

"oh ! how perfectly, perfectly marvelous !
but..I don't understand
what all this has to do with the flaming, burning torture
of the matchstick forts, when I was small"

"the Druids with a capital 'D'
those Druidic Priests who existed in Britian
long before the Roman conquest
were men of great learning..but of evil intent
given to discussions of stars and their
movements

and all manner of things
concerning this Universe and Solar System
and one of their rituals
included human sacrifice..
during which, dressed in white hooded robes
they carefully constructed huge figures
if immense size, with limbs woven of twigs

twigs being shaped very much
like the 'kitchen matches'
you knew as a child

then they filled these large figures
with living men and women
and set them on fire
as the poor souls perished in agony
in a sheet of flame.."

"oh, God, oh, God.. "
were..some of these victims..virgins ?"

"it has thus been recorded..yes"

"oh, my..it's just that I..once I was told I was...
but never mind that now
do you suppose this is the true origin
of the white hooded robes of the Ku Klux Klan
and their burning crosses, in the south ?"

"it is indeed..the origin of this group
whether they realize it themselves or not"

"but..I have heard these Druidic Priests exist today
and perform their rituals in Britian
at Stonehenge..within the mysterious circle of stones
near Salisbury Plain..are they also..cruel ?"

"no, they are not...

Canto Twenty * 876

but it is not a desirable thing to attempt to adopt
the imitative rituals and robes
of ancient cults of death and darkness
and perhaps they will someday realize this

their chief error is in holding their rites
as they do each Midsummer morning at dawn
when they celebrate with fire and water
the years longest day
by watching, as they stand in the center
of the circle of stones
the sun rise in exact line
with the Heel Stone, just outside the ring"

"why do you say that this is an error ?"

"because these modern Druidic Priests
mistakenly believe that their namesakes
those ancient cruel ones
held just such a ritual at Summer Soltice
when Stonehenge was built
over 4,000 years ago
and this is not so

for those who built Stonehenge
for a purpose not yet dreamed
were not the Druidic Priests
described by Julius Caesar, and others.."

"they were the really-truly druids !
my very own druids..the ones who spell their name
with a lower case 'd', were they not ?
I just know this is true !"

"you 'know it' ? then, of course it is
for, whatever you truly know to be true - is true"

"but.. do you believe it too ?"

"do you need my approval of your knowing ?
this is not the best way for you to pursue
your spiritual growing"

"allright, then, - it IS true
and I don't need you to agree with me !"

"I do believe that you are beginning to see..

"to see..what ?"

"to see the formula for learning to listen
