Linda in Star Signs says the #18 is one of the most difficult to explain. What are your interpretations?

Hi Lioneyes 18 is my birth number, I've been trying to figure it out for sometime. The number 18 is a vital life force 9 number but it also represents the Moon card in Tarot and the sign of Pisces to some, so there seems to be a contradiction here. It is said to be a great karmic number (so are they all!!!) but more importantly is to do with the crucifixition,so a life ruled by this influence constantly struggles through the dark side of the moon as such being permeated with the material/spiritual conflict. I can only go by my experience... I think it's quite a deep dark number, people who have this number for their birth date seem to have a certain quality about them that says don't touch me I can only do this by myself. It's like the person has their own personal mission to achieve inside themselves.
Celebrities with this number birthdate are Edward Norton, Brad pitt,Edgar Cayce em thats all I know for now but there does seem to be something untouchable about 18's that people can mistake for either arrogance or unsociableness which is misunderstood because the 18 influence is about reflection and coming to terms with the cocoon (did I spell right?) and tests and trials of and coming to death before the glory becoming reborn into number 19.
Em thats my take on it. Is that your birth number too?

I think the number is facinating! It's my son actually that is born on the 18th. At first I thought the number 18 was rather ominous but looking closer and from what you have said it sounds like its more how you approach life. My family seems to have lots of multiples of 3. I am a 3, my husband is a 12, my father 21, my son and brother are both 18. Wild huh?

Thanks for the imput!!

Hi Quinnie & Lioneyes,

i have a number 18 for my b-day, and i feel like my life is one big struggle.. if something gets resolved, another issue/problem in my life comes up.. it's just doesn't seem like there is a break in between where everything's smooth sailing.. on the other hand, i do derive much satisfaction in overcoming obstacles when i do.. it's just the obstacles seem to never end.. they really keep them coming.. it's like nothing comes easy to the #18 ppl..

i used to really dislike the 18 in my life, but now i just learn to not think too much about it, and to just take things one at a time... that's all i can do, with the knowledge of the #18.. it's not like i can reverse time, and choose to be born on another day..

so yes, i can agree that the #18 can be a dark individual.. because for the most part, life is not easy for them, so they can't just be happy, lighthearted, and jovial all the time.. it sucks, i wish i can feel that way.. my leo sun, makes me yearn for that kind of existence especially.. to be joyful and embrace life..

ah well... guess i was bad in my last lifetime..

Generally, 18 people have fulfilling (albeit tumultuous at times) lives.

15 is my primary compund birth number, but 18 is my secondary compund birth number. Clearly, the 15 has much more influence, but I can assure you that I do feel the influence of the 18. I don't have any bad feelings about it. I just guess I chose to give myself a pretty tough challenge to overcome in this life, under the surface if nothing else Spiritual/Material Conflict is a running theme in my life ... not on the surface where everyone can see, but within me and around me. I never look at a situation or a person and see just the surface ... I have to dive into it/them and see what's cooking. It makes for an interesting social life at the very least, seeing as how some things that other people see as common I find appalling lol. Mostly it shows in my choice of lifestyle. But again, I have that fabulous 15 helping me out =) Well, I guess that's another tricky one in reality
