Why is she an Uni-versal code?

Sorry Juniperb,
Yes, Maria Duval, the scam artist. Actually she's not really a person... It's a company...astro- something. She has many alias's all over the world! Just check out her rap sheet on the web! There are about 15 or so web sites dedicated to exposing her name and the others to the public. Including Government agencies. This Co. also markets other goods not related to psychics or mediums, I believe shoes were mentioned.....
I posted this as a tease because I thought anyone who was serious about the subjects of this site would like to swear or something if they knew of her.- A Universal fraud.
I was once scamed and to this day, still get preprinted offers from "her".
Just trying to have a little fun, and throw a monkey wrench in to get a little chatter going on here. You will be amazed if you look at the sites!

This crackpot e-mails me all the time telling me I need a "reading," because I have lots of money coming in the next few days.

Philbird, Yup, same person but I wouldn`t step on your toes if you in fact bought into "her" scams. I was just interested in what beliefs would include her in the Uni-versal codes.

I`m relieved to hear it is with tongue in cheek

I received a detailed letter just last week telling me I`m in for serious trouble and sorrow... to prevent the uni-verse from crapping on me, just pay up front and she`ll save me from harm That kind of negates the last letter stating I was going to find my soul mate and tons of money

Got my attention too Philbird.

Speaking of crack-pots. My sister - a very grounded Taurus never before interested in this sort of thing - has recently become admired of Sylvia Browne. She asked her loopy sister if Sylvia was "safe" but I don't really know much about the lady. Anyone got the scoop?

Tink, I love Sylvia Browne. Not necessarly because of her psychic abilities but I admire the woman greatly. She has the most awesome sense of reality and humor. I certainly can see why a earthy grounded Taurus would be attracted to her I`ve read every book and like always, take what you resonate with and leave the rest.

She charges $800 a hour for consultation and the wait is about a year. So, I wouldn`t worry too much about sis getting wrapped up in her. Have her get the books. I recommend the 'Journey of the Soul' three book series.

If you get the Montel Williams program, you can catch her on there frequently.

Hello Tink,
Pretty good news, maybe your sister is more grounded than you think!
I did a little checking on the web, and found sites that generalize about anyone who charges for a psychic's service, but NOTHING about Sylvia Brown in particular. Only good stuff. HOWEVER, Sylvia brown and Linda goodman were mentioned in the same sentence as worthy and sincere psychics!! How about that! There were no reports of her on the scam patrol- she looks clean!
Check out MSN Groups, type mysticism or Sylvia Brown. Good Luck!
OHHHHHHHH, AHHHHHHHHH, there is so much out there, Just type in her name in a search engine. (or any psychic)
BYE!!

Thanks juni and Philbird.

Strange that you mention that juni. The one time I did catch Ms Brown was one morning when I was stuck in bed with the flu, perusing daytime tv (aack!) and caught her on Montel. I appreciated her attitude as well. But I also heard about her sky-high fees and that always make me a bit suspicious. Having recently lost our mom, I think my sister is finally beginning to look for a few answers to the big questions. I just didn't want her sniffing down the wrong path. As a Taurus w/ Cancer rising her wallet is locked up tight so I have no fear that she'll drop the $800 for a consultation. In fact, she picked up her first Sylvia Browne book at the library - she didn't want to make a purchase before she inspected the merchandise.

It is interesting Tink, but not surprising with us as I can see you watching Montel & Sylvia with a snuffly nose

The first time I saw Sylvia was on The Other Side and I was put off by her seemingly crass ways.Especially next to Ruth Montgomery,James Van Prauge, a very young John Edwards et al. Yet, her crassness is what also made her real and a reason I delved deeper into her beliefs.

The only complaint I`ve heard about her is she only works with a certain class of people ie those who can afford big bucks to gain insight. I don`t judge. I know if I need psychic insight, there`s wonderful souls who will aid me for free and I can go within to my guides . Of course, like Sylvia says, quit being spiritually lazy and tap into your own natural abilities and stop needing a psychic to mediate.

Your sis sounds like her priorities are straight.

I have been an avid reader of Sylvia Browne's books. I've got most of them. I really enjoy her style and personality.

Lately I've been having some issues with Sylvia Browne and her enormous amounts of money. I don't see anything wrong with making a few bucks to pay your bills, or even to live more than just comfortably... but it seems to me that Sylvia Browne may have become a bit greedy over the years. Founding a religion was my first red flag. It seems to me the old proverb about the seer losing their sight for becoming desirous might be a possibility for Ms. Browne if she's not careful.

You know, I can't understand why reputable Co. s would place her ads in their mags. They don't need the money that badly.
Good Day.
