Watched this over 2 days so I could take it all in. Very powerful speaker. I have been a fan since he was first ridiculed by the media - personally I thought then that he made a lot of sense. I was in turn ridiculed for my own beliefs.... I see the talk was held in Hull. Funnily enough I had recent experience of Big Brother operating in that very city. My partner had to attend a Speed Awareness Seminar as he had been caught speeding during the late Spring Bank Holiday weekend. He had been doing 35 mph in a 30 mph zone on a particular stretch of road in Humberside. He was offered the "choice" of either accepting a £60 fine and 3 points on his licence (not forgetting the raised insurance premiums for four or so years afterwards) or attendance at the Seminar for which the fee was, you guessed it £60. Of course add on £25 in petrol (apparently part of the "punishment" is to attend at the place in which your "crime" has been committed. Glad we only live in Cheshire ! ) Once at the Seminar, any adverse comments would have been seen as not "accepting " your punishment and the consquences of this was to be referred back for judicial procedure. 5 mph over the limit is still over, I know, but when celebrities can flout the same law, because they can afford to hire a barrister to tug open a loophole then as Martin Luther King says - "Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere"------------------ An exit is only an entrance to somewhere else IP: Logged |

Maklhouf I can understand why he has been ignored by the Brittish press though when you consider who may be running the whole Brittish media show, it's hardly surprising they won't support his voice. He is finally getting some of the respect he deserves. Dizzywitch Somehow you know you are on the right track when people ridicule your thoughts as you can challenge them to the core. It's ridiculous the way the law works. The government sems to use any excuse to get money out of us and it can be just plain demoralising! Edge tv is fantastic for the alternative thinker. I reccommned it! I was mesmerized one day watching Dr Michio Kaku talk about 'String' Theory and was hooked.IP: Logged |
