I mentioned this in Randall's thread yesterday, but I think I can finally put it into words.I dont post alot here, cause I am WAY out there.
But I DO love this fourm!!!
I had the strangest experience the other night.
Some of you will remember I posted on Labors of Love about helping to birth 4 ferel kittens on the eve before my 50th birthday. I took them, despite already my own mature brood of my cat loves that live with me anyway, and found home for 3!
The only one without a home (they still are all with me, 8 weeks old and ready for their new moms to come get them) is Penne.(Prounouced Pen-a) She has turned out to be the runt, a tiny tea cup kitten and will be small like her mother, but gosh is she personality plus!
I was putting food away in my pantry night before last, backed out and accidently stepped on her, and I pretty much squashed her, was in my bare feet and felt every terrible moment.
She ran off and I found her, put her on the sofa and she looked and sounded terrible. As a nurse, got out my stethascope, sounded like she punctured a lung, her eyes became glassy, she was clearly taking her last breaths.
A hole was dug and the individual that dug the hole offered prayers to St Francis, being catholic.
My daughter and I just sent her all the healing blessings we could muster.
Well, time went on and on and on...she didnt die, wouldnt die, tho she was dying! I have watch both humans and animals die...Penne was on her way out.
Then she streached a bit, repositioned herself and I thought that not character for a dying baby cat.
Time went on and she began to meow, purr and I got her to drink some milk.
I was laying on the sofa with her and she came up to snuggle with me, put her pink little button nose right up to my nostril and at the time I thought of the old wives tale of cats trying to steal your breath, so I thought to myself, she can have all my breath for what it is worth!
Well a while later she jumped down, went to the litter box, did her business then began to play!!!
Pensive optimistic, over the night, but I woke to her find, amazing.... but me very, very sick, again.
Been fighting one respiratory infection after another for a few months.
But this one was different, I NEVER get a sore throat, which I did, terrible and I rarely get a fever, which I did also.
Went to the clinic, got on some high powered meds and feeling much better, but could I have taken in, in part, some of Penne's "dis-ease?"
But unlike in the movie, I forgot to blow it out like John did symbolized by flies???
See, I am a true weirdo, but I dont believe in coincidence, either.
blessins all!!!
