My darling Betta Fish, Summer Blue, died last night. In November I will have had him for 3 years. He was such a friendly, good fish. I am so sad. He had been blind in one eye for quite some time but got along just fine. Lately he had been "bent", and my local pet store told me that is a sign of old age.

Now he is in fish heaven He was such a sweet little guy

Thanks, Juni!

I am still sad for Summer Blue, but I went and bought a new fish yesterday. This time I got a red one, the other 2 I had were blue. He looks very healthy. He has large, big pretty feathery fins. I was going to name him "Summer Red" but now I think that sounds funny, so I am going to name him "Wren". There is a comic I read, called "Baby Blues" and the baby's name in it is "Wren". Also, aren't Wren birds, red?

I feel so terrible

Wren died.
2 weeks ago, I had put him in another container; a plastic aquarium that I had other fish in previously. It was a little bigger than the vase I had him in, and I thought he might like more room to swim around. Well, right away he got sick. I changed the water and washed and rinsed the plastic aquarium best I could; put him back in again with the aqua drops. He reduced eating and hovered near the bottom.

I feel so terrible~ if only I kept him in the vase he would have lived. He died sometime during the night. Poor thing. Please forgive me, Wren.
