God, no! Why would you think that?

All my Gem pets have been little sweethearts. My current gem is a calico cat, 5 years old. She's my little princess. When I rescued her at 5 months, she spent the entire first night sleeping and purring on top of me. She was just in bliss to have a "mommy" to look after her. She still does that. And she always lets me know when I haven't been giving her enough attention, often by coming up to me, and placing her paw softly on my leg while looking up at me with this sweet, wide eyed face.

She's not mean at all. She has never fought with my older cats, and she'll only hissed or tired to bite me when she's been very upset (like when she hurt her leg and I was trrying to clean it). She is terribly jealous of the younger cat though, my little Libra Tonk mix. And he doesn't help with all his pestering her. But as long as he leaves her alone, she leaves him alone.

My cat is mean and nice but mostly mean.

When I'm serving him food he hits my leg telling me to hurry.

He bites and scratches us sometimes.

My vet says he's very independent and spoiled.

Your vet is an idiot.

Your cat's behavior would depend on his history, and when and if he's been neutered. It sounds more like a socialization problem - he didn't learn how to interact with humans in a more passive, accepting way as a kitten, and now as an adult he's conlficted between wanting to bond with you and being afraid of you.

Cat aggression toward humans is almost always because of fear, stress and anxiety, not being "spoiled." In rare cases it may be due to sickness or brain damage. But mostly it's fear. He wants to be around you because you offer food and affection, but there's something that's trigger his fear.

As for being independant, if that was the case he wouldn't act aggressively toward you - he'd just ignore you.

I've had him since he was real real tiny. He's been mean since then to tell you the truth.

He's the type to cuddle with you and kiss you lightly on your face...then chomp on the nose within seconds.

He's a wierdo.

He isn't neutered. The vet said they are wilder when they aren't

Hi Sweet Stars, my cat is a Virgo, so there is a mercury link there. My cat can change moods so quickly and she also is affectionate (only to me and no-one else). However she gets into moods were she will turn around and want to "play" Play being teeth and claws suddenly after being affectionate. She is not what I would call mean but if I don't read her body language then I cop it. I also knew a scorp cat that was similar, but again if they even sense energy that you want them to do something (ie be nice and cuddly) they would do the opposite.
My suggestion is this: watch lots of documentaries of wild cats - lions and tigers etc. Watch how they are affectionate with each other and mimic this. Usually it is a "head rub" or a purr sound. This is the language your cat understands, so give it a go, but be patient.

It may also be worth finding what moon sign she is if you can.

Hope this helps.

I don't know his exact birth date but he is a Gemini.

I knew a cat who looked just like him and he'd let you carry him like a baby and rub his tummy and never get cranky.

My cat's an a$$ but I love him.
