I cried for Barbaro tonight, watching a news segment about him this evening.

I've seen horses with laminitis. It can be extremely painful for them. I think Barbaro's owners and doctor did the right thing.

But still, it's sad, after everything they did to save him.

At least he is not suffering any more. The sad thing about animals is that they can't tell us when they're in pain, where the pain is, and how much it hurts. We have to guess based on their behaviour.

At least now he is in
