Some of you might have noticed I incline towards reincarnation. So let's assume we do reincarnate...

But why do we come here? What is this whole cycle all about?

People say - lessons/experience.

Ok, that sounds reasonable BUT why even bother? When I try to dig deeper it seems kinda crazy, almost as much as the existence of hell lol. Are we really here only to experience for the sake of it? What if there's something more to it? What if there's some grand mechanism behind it that would explain why experiencing life in the phisycal world is so important for us? I know it's probably impossible to comprehend it with the human mind but I'm trying.

I've been thinking about it I came to the conclusion that our souls might be scouts for the Source and our mission is to gather as much various experiences (information) as possible so that Its knowledge keeps on expanding. Maybe we're here to learn and experience so that God can learn and experience through and with us? Who said It can't evolve? There are no limits on the other side after all, right? God's knowledge might be huge/unlimited but still It may crave more and more. More knowledge, more understanding (maybe that's why supposedly It's so loving and accepting for everyone).

Maybe our existence here is a freaking educational movie. Every life is special and won't repeat itself. It must be super fascinating and exciting to watch! Oh, I just invented a metaphor. Our souls are like water drops forming the ocean. When the time comes we change our state, rise into the air and form a cloud which is a completely different environment and seems so far away from home...most of us forget where we came from and why we left it in the first place, especially since there are so many processes going on inside. But sooner or later we fall back into the ocean as raindrops and reunite with it and every time it rains the ocean changes subtly cause we brought something new with us (most likely sulphur ). And the more it rains, the bigger it gets.

If there's any truth to my theory, how would you feel about it here and now? Would you feel objectified or used?

Oh, and if we really come here to gather experiences for God that would mean It has no right to punish and probably doesn't even consider it. Besides, come on, we're unperfect and that's not our fault. Plus, if we assume we're tiny parts of the Divine Energy that were given individual consciousness that wouldn't make sense at all, that would be punishing yourself. On the other hand, if God is love, then It probably always makes us realize that we hurt someone and this is not how it should be but also let sus feel Its satisfaction with the good things we've done. Maybe this is the ultimate lesson for us?

In the possibilities you offer I wouldn't feel objectified or used because I'd essentially be doing it to myself (that is, the ocean does it to itself, the raindrops being all the egos that one day return to the ocean, the source of who they are).

A darker possibility, and there has been reasons given to think this (Charles Fort and John Keel list many), is that we exist as psychic cattle and that sentient beings (but not TOO sentient) give off the best psychic energy which is harvested and used by more powerful beings. And for what? Lots of possibilities, too many to go into. Just for one possibility, read To Reign in Hell (not that I consider it likely, but the concept used on why humanity was created is a grim possibility). However, if there is exploitation going on then I think it's much more complicated than that with many planes of existence that spiritually interact with our own, and that our souls would come from and/or feed these various planes, many of which would be considered heavens or hells...but that to certain people some heavens would actually be a hell, while to yet other people some hells are actually a wonderful if challenging opportunity for raw power at the expense of others.

And spiritual entities (which might even possibly incarnate here, or otherwise claim souls in a war of belief, morality, and ethics that nurture and feed these other realms and also draw in other souls they then send back to corrupt/taint/convert/inspire others) look upon humanity as a rancher does cattle in an attempt to nurture the desired "vibrations" that feed their plane of existence at the expense of other planes of existence (and humanity is perhaps given as much consideration as cattle). Yet at the same time it's possible that our "souls" so to speak attune the most to this energy and ascend in it within death to join those intelligences (and may reincarnate from it where the spiritual cold war continues).

As just one other possibility. And THEN I'd feel objectified and used.

honestly, i love the idea of re incarnation. my life isnt going in a direction i want it to, and i dont think i will ever fulfill any of my dreams.
there is some sort of odd consolation in believing that my soul will get a chance to experience what it should be experiencing. reminds me of this song called "Drunken Lullabies)" by the band Flogging Molly.

"I sit and dwell on faces past
Like memories seem to fade
No colour left but black and white
And soon will all turn grey
But may these shadows rise to walk again
With lessons truly learnt
When the blossom flowers in each our hearts
Shall beat a new found flame...cuz we find ourselves, in the same old mess, singin' drunken lullabies"

maybe there is no point to human experience except for us just to actually EXPERIENCE humanness?

IMHO:

The point is to get to the point where you don't have to ask, you just live in the moment and feel life coursing through you, and sense that you are part of everything.

Life is somewhat like a game. You play it and enjoy it and don't take it too seriously.

What Faith said. And learning to love because Living in the moment leads to Learning to Love and vice versa imo.

I'm sorry for disappearing from this thread and thank you for replying, especially you, Pixie. I've been reading a lot about "gods" and I felt very disturbed for some time but I'm better now I accidentally (or not?) came across a certain guy on youtube who has very interesting views and I became open to the notion that coming back to this plane of existence is not unavoidable (nor what's best for us). Ahhh, I love developing my theories

I am a firm believer in the Macrocosmic Theory. We are all cells in the whole. Just like we have a million little worlds going on inside of us, whether we take note of it or not, on it whirls.

We all have Free Will, our charts are just a sort of "You are here" because of choices we made in the past. We make choices based on character in reaction to Transits that happen to us. This creates the future for us; and for all in a Higher sense; as we all have Free Will and make choices every day.

A Time to Every Purpose Under Heaven.

But we all have our views, and I respect that. There are a million ways to skin a poor little Catfish.

I used to think that life on earth was like a Truman Show, for people in heaven. I thought that when I was a child.
