This is Canada's first Christmas carol, written by Saint Jean de Brebeuf, a French Jesuit missionary.
He travelled to New France {aka Canada} in 1625 where he worked with the Huron-Wendat people.
We went back into the archives and found a wonderful direct translation of the original lyrics,
from which we created this new version,
