I realized recently that technically, having been born at 10:27PM in EST, really this could be told to be 3:27AM the next day, in the first time zone.

So I was wondering which takes priority when considering numerology, and other possible complications, such as books personal about the birthday, and them drawing from the degree, and it being inaccurate because mine's actually later.

Furthermore I recently looked up Life Paths, which seem to be calculated from birth numbers. Being born March 9th 1993, an online calculator dictated I was a 7, the description of which I agreed with. Then, considering the time zone thing, I used March 10th, and it instead said 8, the description of which was really narrow, but I assume this was just the site.

So, any ideas about this?

G'day, Cardinal Arbiter, could I call you CA for short? In Chaldean Numerology, I don't believe the time of birth is considered very important. My program below looks at name and date only. Astrology if a different kettle though - but this time is dependent on your location too, so it can determine what is rising when you're born. It could be tricky if you were in a jet, and happened to transit several signs. I believe the time of your first breath is most important. In any case, I think you can determine this without knowing the time of your birth by process of elimination - you look at all astrological influences, then summarise through the moon and sun, and voila, you may deduce the asc! That's kinda how I determined mine. In any case, your a nine person, but I don't know your name - please let us know whether the system below works for you too!

Heaps of Love,
Dean.

my name, Hawk Rivers-Garrett, becomes 9.

I know the time and place I was born exactly. I was just considering comparing it to the first/universal/central time zone, which would obviously mean changing the birth time into a different date. I assume the counterweighing the location difference with the time difference would leave me with the same ascendant (Scorpio), that's not what I'm pondering; merely the date of most correct reference for numerology is.

Well, that too can be interesting. Btw, your name is very interesting - not just beind called Hawk, but the fact your combined value equals 54. There are no masters, so there's no way to compute a compound name number. I believe this is extremely rare. Perhaps in your case only, you could ignore the hyphen, and you would still have 9! RiversGarrett = 40! Hawk = 14, so this is also 54. However, RiversGarrett = 40 also equals 31, 31 + 14 = 46. Has the same meaning as the number 37.

****************************************
37
This number has a distinct potency of its own. It's associated with an extremely sensitive nature--good and fortunate friendships--a strong magnetism with the public, often in the area of the Arts--and productive partnerships of all kinds. It places an emphasis on love and romance, and sometimes too much emphasis on sexuality. Attitudes toward sex may be unconventional (but this aspect may not always be present). There is a pronounced need for harmony in relationships. Happiness and success are more easily attained when in partnerships with another rather than when operating alone as a single individual.
****************************************

Does this ring a bell at all? I could be way off, but I wouldn't be able to sleep knowing someone out there doesn't have a compound name number - far out

Now, back to the time question. Yes, this is important in det4ermining a few factors - but it's still relative to your location, and you could say, the GMT. I would argue that the "known" time is where the power's at. The cynics would argue as they do with the changes in star signs that nothing's permanent, and you can't base esoteric knowledge on "relative data", etc. But really, that's bull. It's like if more people believe it, then it is. Be lie ve. In any case, my mum in law is born on 20 March. I found out this was close to Midnight, and wondered if it could be 21. Well, numerological, 21 fits way more than 20. They're both fairly generic numbers, but 20 is the awakening - surely this would be memorable. 21 though is more vague. Also, 21 would make her Gemini, while 20 is Taurus. Some people confuse sun with moons, but you have to check. People can be both, but I'm sure this would be very noticeable. In this case, she is a Gem through and through (I'm a Gem). And she does have a Taurus asc (appearance, etc), one daughter's Taurus, and the other has Taurus moon - so there is some genetic astrology happening. My point though is that she has always lived thinking she's a Taurus with a 20 date, when in fact she's a Gem with a 21. To me the evidence is compelling, but to her, they wrote 20 so that's it. Hence, you do need to be mindful. In your case, you're a fair bit off midnight, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Cheers,
Dean.

Sorry I haven't come back to this thread for a while.

I do actually own Star Signs, so I've already read that. If we're to follow Linda's example of Philip DiFranco having two words in his last name, she advises treating them as separate words on page 213. And she does acknowledge the possibility of people born with no compound number for their name, saying it indicated a karma balanced person. So presumably this means they do exist.

My name get's more interesting than that too. My full birth certificate legal name is Jethro Hawk Willow Rivers-Garrett. My mother wanted to call me merely Hawk, and she had a dream where she had a son named Hawk, and the day she conceived me she encountered a Hawk apparently, but this is unclear. First time I heard it I thought she said it was the day she birthed me. But anyway... My father decided to throw in Jethro and Willow in case I wanted a less harsh one syllable name. It hasn't been a problem though, so I've always gone by Hawk. Well, as a child I was nicknamed Hawkster. The last name, Rivers-Garrett, is a fusion of my father's surname Rivers-Moore, and my mother's maiden name McGarrett. They too changed their names to Rivers-Garrett. They separated when I was 5 but keep the name, and in fact I think they're still legally married to reap tax incentives.

Also, off the topic of numbers, but on the topic of my birth, I was conceived the night before my father's appointment for a vasectomy.

So yep, my name is quite a complicated ordeal. But such is life, and I accept it and play with what I'm dealt.

About the initial question, it was about the time zones not about the time, I realize it's not close to midnight EST, it's that it's past midnight GMT, but if you figure that numerology is constituted by people's conscious and thus them thinking I was born on the 9th makes me numerologically a 9, then that would be what I'm looking for.

Thanks for conversing with me, Sesame.
