A year ago I was trying my damnedest to write my own chaldean numerology book, keeping a journal and writing observations every day about the people around me. One of my proudest discoveries (and you can be the judge of the accuracy on this one) is that many 1's are estranged from their fathers. Emotional distance is common, but I've noticed that tons of 1's simply do not speak to their fathers. One of my favorite 1's has a dad that jet sets around Europe, as he was deported from the US in the early 90s. Another 1 was born entirely out of wedlock to an incredibly strong and independent woman. It's always struck me as bizarre. Have you guys noticed anything along these lines, those bizarre idiosyncrasies that always pop up? IP: Logged |

I'm a 19 (1), and I don't speak to my father very much.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

I am an 11 which goes to a 2- but it is 1 and 1 if that counts? Never met my father- well as a young baby but I don't remember. He also told my mother at 13 when I got ahold of him over the phone- that he'd kill me and my whole family if I tried to contact him again. And all of my 4 important romantic relationships have been with 6s. Apparently, I get along well with em, though it's not the "ideal" as numerology says, so maybe I got something to learn that I am missing lol. My mother is a lifepath 1 though, her father was around but 4 of the kids were treatted badly, and 1 (the favorite) was the only one that got love. The back of my mothers head is completely flat b/c she was never picked up as a baby. Other than that she doesn't remember much of anything as a child- which I think she has blocked off due to traumatic experiences. IP: Logged |

In Chaldean, at least according to Linda, it's a minor secondary number influence; she doesn't call it a lifepath. I think that's just a Pythagorean concept, but I could be wrong. According to Pythagorean numerology, the lifepath would be figured by reducing the month, day, and the year, and adding all three totals and reducing to a single digit. IP: Logged |

This is one sad thread My dad is a 1, and I think didn't have the best relationship with his dad - was somewhat passed on.That is a very interesting observation though - I think it'd be because 1's are teachers, while dads need respect. There can be a conflict here... Sad, indeed. And irrespective of gender. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

The number 1 is associated with Leo, the sign of fatherhood. Sadly though Leos don't have very big families, or have problems with their children. Your observation makes a lot of sense.IP: Logged |

Halo Anti-Ruffila Well come ! It is Great that you have embraced such the task in your pursuit of intuition in Numerology as this....a book I would forward to. Perceptions like this are rare in today's "Google and Know Whirled." The subtleties of such nuances often escape those who study this Art, as the meanings of Numbers often overshadow" the part they play" in people's actual Lives. Such as you have described! As Sesame has pointed out, 1's are teachers and more importantly leaders in their own Lives. It brings to my Mind, an old adage ,that the "Prince seldom likes the King...." The Number 1, as you know, is their own "King" and often needs to rise to the top of any position in their Life. This is true of any male and his father indeed, but women with this aspect may often find it hard to be subordinate to the overshadow of a "father figure". The influence of the Sun (Son) is quite a Force in those Lives that bears it. The Regality of it's Pride and Power usurps any notion following the dictation of anyone, hence naturally creating friction between parent and it's offspring. It is a fascinating Number, as it is associated with the sign Leo, which, although it is a Masculine Fire Sign, it is portrayed as a feline, or cat; which is often in turn associated with Femininity. The Lion is the King of the jungle, in that it rules with it's "presence. " It's innate sense of worth and need for respect from those they love and protect shines forth as the Sun, in all it's outward traits and actions. It requires those they favor, to adorn them with love and nourishment of all kinds. Lioness's hunt and kill for the Lion's food and give it's prey to the King as an offering in exchange for devotion and protection. Their lair is occupied with only those the King sees fit. A seemingly one-sided Love affair that is innately designed in Nature and displayed in People through Numerology. Conversely, it must be hard for a Father( without Numerology) knowledge to bear a child with such Noble aspirations. I find that 8 persons often have the same situation but for a different reason.... as 8's (Cronos/Saturn) rule Fatherhood (not Leo) a child born with such a Number often "know better" than the parent supporting such a role. "8" children are often wise and old beyond their years, having difficulty accepting advise and guidance from their Father parent (may not always be male) and resistant to what they are "told to do." Somehow, deep down these little Saturnians emote a "knowing" it takes most humans a lifetime to understand. Such is the Power of the Magical Arts and thier influence on our mortal lives. Can it be said that "2" people have the same plight with their "Mother" figures? Hmmmm...... ------------------ When all is said and done, more is said then done! IP: Logged |

Wow! Thank you for posting! I always forget there are other Chaldean numerologists out there! More and more I find that reading posts on this forum can be as delightful as eating a real-life cupcake. I think I'm going to dig up my old numerology journal, Chahldean. IP: Logged |

Cupcakes rock. ------------------ "All deaths are suicides, do you realize that? Every single one. The only distinction is that, with some people, suicide is a subconscious choice, and with others it's a conscious choice. Otherwise, those who commit suicide and those who succumb to accident, illness or "old age," die for exactly the same reason: belief in the inevitability of death." Linda Goodman IP: Logged |
