Where we can talk about

-Indie rock
-Post rock
-Shoegazing
-Dream pop
-Lo fi
-Slowcore and Sadcore

Look at allmusic.com and lastfm.com for definitions of these subgenres.

I am currently listening to "93MillionMilesFromTheSun." They seem to recall early 90s shoegazing acts like my bloody valentine, shoegazing/sadcore groups like Slowdive and post rock bands.

Hi Carl how are you doing? Its about time you had your own thread like this Lately I've been into groups like Thievery Corporation, but I've been told they sound like elevator music. The music you mentioned sounds interesting.

Idk, my favorite band is M83 but all other shoegaze doesn't do anything for me whatsoever. It's not epic enough.

What do you think of Girls? I saw them last night in DC. They're like psychadelic indie pop.

Shoegazing is just for spacing out. or when I am in a drunken haze. The music mirrors that for me. Or when I am walking through a heavy fog on my way to class.

Post rock is for that epic feeling. But I mean, I don't always need epic. sometimes I just need laid back, or spacey.

Maybe you have not tried shoegazing while you were in the right mood?

I've neglected this for a while!

Some new stuff I found that I dig a lot:

93millionmilesfromthesun
In a nutshell
The fauns
Black lipstick
Vitesse
The daysleepers
If these trees could talk
SPC ECO
Everything is made in China
HDU

Reconnected with an old old favorite too
