I'll second that Unmoved.

My dyslexic moment of the day - your thread title. Giving up Mattel.

Not taking life for granted is an exceptional rule of thumb. I like your cares and don't cares very much, as well as your goals.

And you're taller than me.

Very interesting chart. Sun is least aspected, and the chart ruler, and conjunct SN. Pluto's the ease between the tension of Jupiter opposite Saturn, Neptune (I think that probably gives Pluto special significance).

I didn't really get the first post. Wasn't sure if I was reading you or lyrics.

howdy AG,

how are you?

thanks for stopping by

i do not really know too much about what the meaning is of the North/South Nodes.

im aware they are 'karmic' though, or something along those lines?

being the south node is in my 1st, and conjunct my sun, does that mean its part of my 'expression'? (directly received by being in the 1st?) what would it present?

hmm

special significance, i think my pluto is pretty hidden in the 4th, goes by un noticed. but its only 1 of the 2 planets in my chart with mostly nice aspects

p.s.

you are a good poster on the boards.

hey teasel, don't believe we have crossed paths before!

nice to meet you too.

do you have a thread in here? perhaps i can find out a bit about you?

edit*

ah, i remember the picture thread, thats something we kinda have in common. i thought you looked fine in your photos, do you have hard saturn aspects in your chart?

*

my comment was more subjective, but i didn't mean to imply there wasn't many good posters here.

have a good day!

Oops. I thought I added a smile in the post above.

No, I was just thinking about your "favouritism sucks" comment, in your thread at Lindaland Central.

I was born in England, too (Hillingdon). I grew up on the outskirts of London (Ruislip Manor, Sipson/Heathrow), and later Hampshire, before moving over here. Ah, "Souf London" I used to have a Cockney accent - Mum loved it when we moved over here, because I had to speak "properly" to be understood at all. I'm feeling a bit homesick tonight.

*edit. No thread here, no. And, thank you. I have Saturn squaring Mercury, Jupiter and Pluto, as well as a minor aspect to Venus. Pluto is the ruler of my chart. I keep meaning to look up "recurrence transits" - I read about them once before. Anyone with Saturn square Pluto in their natal charts, will be experiencing one now. Nick Dagan Best, was the astrologer writing about them.

aw, thats cool. quite a bit of moving around compared to me! i have never lived outside of london. i have always stayed here (not much of a traveler)

even in america, i'd find it weird to get used to another culture. i do like the accents though, i enjoy putting on an american accent, i get away with it kinda lol.

but yeh, thats quite a bit of moving around, what age did you move over to america? i can't tell how 'young' you are now.

again, nice to meet you

edit*

ah ok, i perceived your reasoning about the pictures being taken down in the picture thread, as maybe a sign of low self esteem. based on those aspects i can't see it particularly being to do with saturn, but then again im no astrologer. and that was just my interpretation of you in that thread, i don't really know for sure.

Yeah, the Nodes kind of indicate your past, and your lesson for this life. Your South Node is where you've supposedly spent many lifetimes getting quite good at the things associated with that sign. This is where you are comfortable operating from.

The North Node is supposed to be your lesson for this lifetime. You're supposed to use your talent that's indicated by your South Node to work towards your North Node.

I don't know the long form interp for NN in Aqua in the 7th, but I'll tell you some keywords I think of right away. Leo represents creativity to a degree, and is said to enjoy the spotlight. The 1st house is associated with you, your essential self. These are the things you're comfortable with. Aquarius represents humanitarianism, forward-thinking and groups. The 7th house being opposite of the 1st generally represents others. Put it together, and it seems that you are supposed to use your comfort in yourself and being in the spotlight to inspire people to come together for humanitarian purposes. You have to transition from things being all about you to also including the group, or putting the group ahead of yourself.

Here you can find more info on NN in Aqua: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/012811.html

Look at the Libra one, too, as that will give you the 7th house (Libra rules the 7th, if you don't already know).

Regarding Pluto, see how it makes blue aspects to each end of that opposition? That indicates that it is a good mediator for that opposition. I've seen it called an "easy opposition," because that planet is there to make things more comfortable. My Uranus does the same thing for my Mercury opposite Saturn. It takes the strengths of the two sides, and integrates them into something positive. That's why I think it's probably special in your chart. Nevermind that it's in the sign it rules in a water-ruled house, which also bodes well.

hey AG,

that was a very helpful reply, its given me great insight into what these are about now, thank you.

interesting, particularly the house placement interpretation. sounds kinda tricky. (achieving 'this lifes' goal/lesson)

but the link you provided has helped shine some insight on how to go about doing whats right in this 'life' / incarnation?.

firstly, on the Aqua NN interpretation -

yikes.. i am warm to the idea of a lot of the stuff listed, but i am not of fan of being that Selfless. i'm very selfless to friends, and to people who i think i can help, and to loved ones. But to society, as a whole? put society before my self completely? eeee, i don't know about that. lol

i grew up till the age of 15 with more friends than i have ever had so far. however, i lost them all due to various reasons. i have made completely new friends now, i'm kind of a part of 'different' groups of friends. before this, i used to always be part of 1 Group of friends who all knew each other, now its the opposite. i miss being part of 1 group of friends who grew up knowing 1 another, but when you move away and you lose it all, its so hard to bring that back.

in regards to society and friends - i love to make friends, i am not judgmental to those i approach/am approached by, i keep an open mind when meeting people. i also love to help, and i'm quite selfless in that department. close friendships mean much to me. i think Jupiter in my 11th would help in regards to my life's lesson with the NN in Aqua.

"Attributes to develop – work in these areas can help uncover hidden gifts and talents:
Objectivity (seeing the “total picture”)
Desire for friendship
Making decisions for the group’s best interest
Willingness to share unconventional ideas
Willingness to champion humanitarian causes
Active participation in groups
Awareness of equality
Relating to others as individuals, apart from their specific roles (gardener, doctor, lover, etc)
Creating win/win situations
Recognizing how others are special"

i do most of this these days.

the one in bold below, i find very hard/ difficult to do:

"Tendencies to leave behind – working to reduce the influence of these tendencies can help make life easier and more enjoyable:

Insistence on getting one’s own way
Making changes just to exercise authority
Attachment to taking risks (romance or gambling)
Willfullness and stubbornness
Attachment to the need for approval
Melodramatic tendencies
Doing what’s expected instead of following one’s heart (this depends for me)
Unbridled passion – going to extremes
Unawareness of others’ importance
Prideful responses based on fear"

the rest, have not been too much trouble :S,

i think the fact i have Uranus trine my Sun, has probably helped in this regard. (uranus the ruler of Aquarius and my 7th house ruler)

very interesting perspective here:

"The Achilles’ heel Aquarius North Node people need to be aware of is their need for others’ approval (“My survival depends on others giving me approval”) and thinking that if they have others’ apoproval their life is on the right track. But it’s a bottomless pit: Aquarius North Node people can never get enough approval to feel satisfied or to feel free to be themselves. Actually, for them the approval of others is a false barometer. They must risk disapproval and be true to their own unorthodox ideas in order to develop the deeper and more satisfying feeling of self-approval."

i can't stand this idea (in bold)

"The bottom line is that they’ll never feel free to dedicate themselves to humanitarian concerns unless they can forget their personal desires. When they add their considerable talents to making universal causes successful, their efforts are energizing and rewarding for everyone concerned. The irony is that when Aquarius North Node people dedicate themselves to a larger cause, they find that the universe will fulfill them on the personal level as well. "

nooo... lol i can't forget my own, they mean more to me than 'society', i can not dedicate all my life's effort into 'society' and risk having nothing for my self. i'd be happier off doing both - focusing on both.

for NN in the 7th (this is interesting, because, like how i have my sun oppose my NN, i have a Moon in Aries, but its opposed by my Venus which is in Libra. )

"North Node in Libra and the 7th house

Attributes to develop – work in these areas can help uncover hidden gifts and talents:
Cooperation
Diplomacy and tact
Increasing awareness of others’ needs
Selflessness: giving support without expecting reciprocity
Creating win/win situations
Sharing
Seeing things through another’s eyes
Communicating self-identity"

i do all of this quite consistently, again, must be because i have a natal Venus Libra, its part of my personality.

"Tendencies to leave behind – working to reduce the influence of these tendencies can help make life easier and more enjoyable:

Impulsiveness
Thoughtless self-assertion
Lack of awareness of others’ needs for support
Self-centeredness
Selfishness
Lack of good judgment regarding money
Expecting others to be like oneself
Indifference to how one is seen by others
Resistance to compromise
Outbursts of anger
Overconcern with survival"

still working on the ones in bold, although, the one about money - i do have good judgment with money, but i do find it hard to follow my own judgment due to impulsive 'wants' as opposed to needs. (hard with aries moon) if i relax and think about it longer, i usually come back to a better realization.

in regards to "expecting others to be like ones self" i do not expect people to be Like me, i acknowledge, expect, and respect that everyone is or should be an individual, and are differen't (got aqua in my chart, hi) but, there are definitely personality traits of mine i'd like to see in others. i guess they are subjective when i think they are 'right' or good, but i think its possible i could argue some really are Objectively right. but don't most people feel this way?

"The Achilles’ heel Libra North Node people need to be aware of is selfishness (“My survival depends on looking out for myself first, and others should make sure my needs are met regardless of anyone else’s concerns”). But it’s a bottomless pit: if they feel that others have to constantly fill their needs for them to feel safe and connected, they will find that they always need more attention and energy just to feel okay. They need to find partners whom they can give to, who will feel so energized that they naturally fill Libra North Node’s cup in appreciation. Satisfaction lies in connecting with people who see them for who they are, appreciate them, and want to give back to them.

The trap they need to avoid is an unending search for independence (“If I can just be self-sufficient enough, I’ll have the confidence to relate successfully with others and I won’t feel so lonely”). Life has shown Libra North Node people that accomplishments and independence do not make them feel complete. The bottom line is that they’ll never feel a strong enough sense of self to become part of a team. At some point they need to take the risk of losing themselves in supporting another person. The irony is that once they start unselfishly supporting someone else, they begin to feel the joy and glory of their true self shining through."

the part in bold, i find hard to do (even though i only have NN in the 7th, not in Libra).

thanks for explaining that about pluto's role in that part of my chart AG, i understand now.

as for the least aspected planet, i'm not sure if its my sun or mercury?

my mercury has two aspects but they are very wide, square of 9 to uranus, and a conjunction of 10 to venus.

my sun has a 4 orb trine to uranus.

so in regards to that link (which was a great read btw) i don't know which planet it is, wouldn't be surprised if it is my sun but i don't know.

this is interesting though:

"1. In chart of David Copperfield(9-16-1956, 6:02 AM EST, 74w22, 40n33), Mercury is peregrine. His showmanship and communication through magic in Mercury’s placement tends to dominate the chart despite its peregrine nature But its not the least aspected planet, its the 3rd most aspected one. It is also the 4th most energy developed, offering 9.8 % of the total available energy in the chart. And its the second most harmonic planet in the chart. But all the other nine planets(the hermetic system considers ASC and MC as major planetary points) are disharmonic, including the luminaries which are in the top three worst.

I can clearly see why Copperfield has Mercury running things, its one of the only planets with any harmony. All the others just yield pain, obstacles, and uphill battles to get what he wants."

"SECONDLY, the peregrine is a very strong harmonious planet, in a chart where most signs, planets, and houses have net disharmony of action, and give continuous obstacles and the feeling that everything is an uphill battle.

In the future, when I look at the least aspected planet I will also look to see whether it appears to dominate the chart. I know whether it has a dominating characteristic if its either” a squeaky wheel” or an “only wheel that works right”."

edit**

i misunderstood that part of the link, i wasn't sure what ptomaic aspects meant (however you spell that word)

******

thanks again AG for a very insightful read.

Good call on Mercury. I didn't see that. I think it's definitely your least aspected. After I posted last night, that site about Least Aspected Planets stayed on my screen for awhile. When I looked at it, it may not have been the best site, but it did lay out the main idea: a planet that's not aspected to any part of the chart kind of has free reign to do what it likes unfettered. Mercury rules Virgo, so that's a nice place for it. It also rules the sign that governs the 3rd (Gemini), so that's a doubly good place for it. It also rules the 11th house in your chart. It would seem that you're quite Mercurial.

I still have my English accent (except for the odd slip), but had an American one when I was a toddler (before moving back to England for about eleven years). We've been here for nineteen years now, but it doesn't feel that long. I'm 34; we moved here when I was 15.

I was also a little confused as to whether or not what you wrote above contained lyrics, so I left this window open last night (along with your thread in LLC2), to come back to, and re-read. The bit I quoted above is both sad and lovely.

That's great. I hope you achieve your heart's desires that you listed above.

my road would have looked something like this in 1912

(minus the snow, as you can see, the tree's hadn't grown fully yet lol. although, on my road, there isn't as many tree's, some of the other roads next to mine have all these tree's fully grown!) notice how cars wasn't as popular.. lol

here's a pic of me taken that day, best believe i had a whole lot of fun out in that snow, i saw snow balls bigger than me in my park hehe

teasel,

thats cool, but wow, 15, what a critical age to change culture (when you are going through high school, growing up in a society you have already at least half adapted to) when i changed school, that was a big throw off socially, i can't imagine doing it in another country! at 15!

everything i wrote in my first post is real apart from:

"original, invisible to the ones who are tardy.

a tune for serenity, ******* up the enemy
if anyone makes it then thats the way its meant to be

Lets see, it started with the serpent
messing with Eve cause she wasn't certain"

p.s.,

thank you, i hope i do too, may we all x.

AG,

what i think you are referring to in my photo of my road, are actually phone lines made by BT (being that england isn't a young country). this is why england can't get amazing internet speed connections, cable options are limited!!

edit*

actually, do you know what, i'm not sure, but i am sure people told me those are the phone lines!

Letram! You seem like a really really cool person!! You are clearly very very clever ... actually I confess you remind me a little of my brother, although my brother is a lot older than you ... 28 in fact. Anyway, he's got the opposite karmic situation to you because his North Node is in Leo. Go figure! So you're quitting martell huh? Good luck with that. I don't know if you saw in my thread ... I'm a reformed drug addict and I haven't had a drink in four years. I just don't drink alcohol at all anymore. And I confess I feel wonderful : ) I'm probably gonna die of lung cancer since I refuse to quit smoking ... it's the one thing I've just decided to let myself have, even though it's bad for me, because before I was very dependent on drugs. I see you say you don't do certain types of drugs? I don't know the UK classification but in my time I've done everything except heroin. LSD was my favorite. If you are doing milder drugs now you ARE gonna be tempted to try harder stuff, and I strongly recommend you don't! The thing about drug and alcohol dependency is that you spend years and years running to stand still. You won't have time for anything or anyone else. Drugs is a full time job. So, take it from someone who wasted ten years of her life ... I'm 36 now and in many ways I'm way behind in my life's goals. Anyway the good thing is there are many other paths open before you so if you need any help 'giving up martel' talk to moi : )

Fatinkerbell!!

lol,

well, i'm glad you liked the song! when i saw your video of you covering the doors, i figured you must like 60's rock at least a little? and when i listened, yeah, the tone of your voice just kind of reminded me of Jefferson Airplane, and for some reason i could just imagine you doing a nice cover of 'somebody to love'!

and after listening to your first attempt, it was great! you captured the tone of the song as i thought you would, and you pretty much captured the essence, especially the chorus im not sure if you are singing 'wont' or 'don't' at the beginning of the chorus, i believe don't is the right lyric though! but overall, i liked it and thought it was good can't wait to here you take another go at covering it!

are you into lots of 60's rock then? or is the doors a bit of a one off in your collection?

thank you for the compliment! <3,

ah, the opposite of Leo, (NN) so he needs to be more selfish? LOL!

i have not read all of your topic, i think i will though. so i did not read about that! im so glad you have beaten that obstacle in your life, and that your are on 'the right path'! fortunately i can report, that i don't do any drugs, i haven't had a drug problem. all the drugs in the uk drugs classification are pretty much everything you shouldn't be doing. i Really appreciate your kindness in regards to your concern about me drinking, fortunately i'm alright, i want to stop drinking as a whole, (not completely all together, but Mostly, like.. i don't even want to drink socially all the time anymore)

i really appreciate your advice, and i'm going to take it from you for sure. thank you fatinker <3.

i'm glad to know i have someone there to talk to for a change, i usually find my self catering that to others all the time.

i really hope you didn't feel like i was imposing those songs on you! i just thought i'd recommend them to see if you liked them , i am glad you did!

take care, i will read your topic! x

Wow. You are my first fan. I'm shocked. Normally I would use my karaoke addiction as a punishment ... you know, like, I fantasize that all the sinners in hell will have to listen to me singing karaoke, especially Simon Cowell : ) I need some time to process this!
OK so you're not into drugs ... cool, phew, I can relax ... I just wanted to, you know, sort of put that out there as a kind of disclaimer, especially if I'm gonna try and properly cover the song 'White Rabbit'... Mmm ... do I have my foot in my mouth? Most likely.
OK so as for the lyrics: yes it's quite possible that I may have sung 'won't' instead of 'don't' ... I often do that when I'm first practising, but actually I'm also a stickler for lyrics being gotten exactly right, you know : ) And actually on this point you must help me because I'm not sure whether is White Rabbit she sings: "Remember what the dormouse said, keep your head", or, as some lyrics vids would have it, "Remember what the Darma said, feed your head'. Well I'm pretty sure it's the first one, as the entire song is perfectly in keeping with Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland.
As to the question whether I'm into sixties rock ... actually yes, but the thing is I don't really have a collection of music. First of all I'm a total music **** and will listen to almost everything. It's very annoying because deep down I'm actually a Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, o my god I'm so depressed and life sucks, emo, vampire loving kind of goth chick... except I never really got the chance to live out that side of me. I just went part way with a few piercings and you know, like, not washing my hair for a while and dying it black! But I was a bit of a failure as a goth. If I win the lottery and didn't have to fit in with society I would go the whole nine yards, get tattoos all over, piercings all around, and look for someone whose blood I can drink. So if you want to understand my deepest music tastes, it is actually that ... I have a lot of rage in me so I guess the perfect music for me would be hard core death metal or black metal or whatever... The problem is, I can't really get into that world .... It's a lifestyle that I can't afford, on many levels : D My favorite artist really is Marilyn Manson. I think he is musically sooo innovative, I loooove his voice, I love the energy of his music, and I love the man ... I think he's really an amazing artist - poet and painter, and I feel a deep connection to all his lyrics... they seem to speak my soul, you know ... : ) So, sixties rock is something I love but maybe don't know enough of. I'm into the Doors because I'm interested in the life and death of Jim Morrisson, who I also think was like a misunderstood artist who only accidentally became a rockstar, and I think it's a shame because he was actually more of a thinker, and could probably have contributed more to society as a film-maker or something ... I think The Doors is what killed him because he had to become someone larger than life and it brought him down. So I actually love the doors for the lyrics and the meaning and the imagery in the songs. The music of The Doors is cool because it's such a strange combination of sounds ... that is something I like, and I'm going to listen to more and more Jefferson Airplane because they have the same cool mix of sound which I really love. But it's not my only love in music ... actually I confess I love all music, but especially music that takes time to get used to. At the moment I'm completely deprived of Western music though because Korea is innundated with Korean pop, which at first drove me crazy, but sadly I'm now loving. I totally hate that! I am the world's greatest music **** : )
Anyway, now that I've gone of on my tangent I just wanna say really thank you for chatting to moi ... you are very interesting to chat to. I'll need to watch your video links at home, and probably on weekends, due to the computer no sound problem I told you about at work ... Usually I'm quite tired when I get home and just zonk out, but I'm going to make a point of checking out ALL your links, so help me God : )
