Everytime I read something about Saturn there is always some mention about the father. For example I saw this video about Saturn transiting the 5th house. The guy mentioned that during this transit. The father (if you have one) might try to control or have a say so about the the things in your life that are related to the 5th house. So basically that means that during this transit. My father may try to control the areas of my life that have to do with fun, romance etc. Why is Saturn always about the father? I guess I don't like this because my father has always been controlling. Is there ever a time that the father isn't involved in reciting Saturn?https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Bhsl85037ys IP: Logged |

saturn has been in my 5th since early 2015, and it'll be there till the end of 2018 if I'm still aroundafter almost 2 years my father hasn't done any of those things (stopping my creativity or controlling who I date etc) in fact with saturn in the 5th I have become a lot more active creatively, because my job also involves a great deal of it the only effect of saturn in 5th I have felt so far has been that I never want to have kids of my own, but that's something I always knew even when I was young (natal 5th ruler opposite natal saturn)...now with saturn in the 5th I have directly told my parents that they won't have a grandchild through me...I'm also a lot clearer on this subject from early on, with men I meet in case they bring up something long term IP: Logged |

No, it's not always about the father. It's just one interpretation, coming mostly from Vedic astrology. IP: Logged |

That's interesting. I also have Jupiter opp saturn, but I want kids. Is it because Jupiter isn't my 5th house ruler? IP: Logged |

My father left home when transit Saturn was conjunct my IC. Or maybe that's the 4th house' influence? Something related to my father also happened when Pluto was conjunct my IC. ^Please don't quote^IP: Logged |

I just remembered, last year I started working at an animation company, but after a few weeks my father told me to stop working there, because in his words it was a total derail from my main job (architecture)! it didn't help as much as I explained to him that my job there still involved architecture (I designed city landscapes and house interiors for the animations), he expressed a lot of dissatisfaction which eventually forced me to leave that company
but I have natal sun in the 10th opposite pluto...even though I chose my job at 13 when my father had nothing to do with it, he did dictate which school I should go to (I had pluto leaving the 5th at 18), or which companies to work at I have nothing to complain about though, because it often turns our for the best, and I find myself in the best positions when I listen to him, as annoying at it may initially be! today I know where I am now is where I wanna be deep down..if I had stayed at the animation company I wouldn't have been able to get the job I have now, which is way more fun, creative and allows a lot more freedom

I think so, in my case though, add a venus/moon square too, pregnant women or animals make me feel so uneasy IP: Logged |
