what in a synastry chart can indicate a party(s) feeling nervous? like, constantly feeling tense in the other's presence and makes he/she have minor speech impediment like low speaking voice without confidence, fearing he/she might say something wrong or dumb? but not necessarily feel intimidated.

does anyone know/have an idea?

I'm thinking some kind of strong connections to Uranus-Mercury or Uranus-Mars or all three.

When you're feeling nervous, always look to Mercury or Uranus or both.

the person's Uranus trine my Mercury.

so do you think his Uranus is sending me the quirky vibe to my Mercury in this case? would the trine aspect make it more pleasant than feeling it as a difficulty?

and, i'm not sure if anyone can answer this question, but is there a way to cleverly work around it? what aspects might lessen or cancel it out? i hate feeling nervous like this all the time.

if it is just nervousness and not intimidation that I would definitely say uranus (with intimidation I'd blame saturn)!! I've had this with a former colleague, his uranus aspected every single one of my planets and it was so weird, I seemed to completly lose it when he was around. Dont get me wrong, there wasnt any attraction whatsoever, but I just seemed so on edge when he was around that my thougth processes seemed really erratic and I always felt I sounded like a dummy around him.

"what in a synastry chart can indicate a party(s) feeling nervous? like, constantly feeling tense in the other's presence and makes he/she have minor speech impediment like low speaking voice without confidence, fearing he/she might say something wrong or dumb? but not necessarily feel intimidated."

I am like that with anybody. I have a history of communication problems connected to my neurodivergence of Dyslexia,Dyspraxia. I do have a minor speech impediment with being very softspokened, highpitched voice(a neuropsychologist noted that I have mildly dysarthric speech...been told a lot that I sound like Michael Jackson)with fear of saying something wrong because of word retrieval issues connected to Dyslexia. I use compensatory speech mechanisms to avoid saying stupid things or else I'd be making speech errors like former President Bush. I also tend to have issues of finding the right word to say which result in getting stuck. That is also part of word retrieval problems.
I am also shy because of auditory input speech lags and not just my speech problems.

my sensory integration, eye tracking issues make maintaining eyecontact with people difficult. I tend to have problems processing language and maintaining eye contact at the same time.

Does the person have a history of speech problems? If so, check the natal chart. I wouldn't even bother with the synastry.

my indicators are the t-square of my Moon in Pisces in 6th house square the opposition of retrograde Saturn(restrictions, limitations, reserve) in Gemini(communications) in 9th and Jupiter-Neptune in Sagittarius in 3rd (communications). I have Saturn contraparallel Mercury-Venus-Neptune parallel. My Mercury is conjunct Sun/Neptune midpoint, and some of its interpretations in the Cosmobiology bible book, Combination of Stellar Influences by Reinhold Ebertin are speech defects, little intelligence, and mental disturbances.

here are some things that explain the speech problems that I and many other neurodivergents have which can get neurotypicals (normal neurological processing people which is the majority) misunderstand them. psychiatrists can mistake them for having disorganized type of schizophrenia because of the loose, rambling, tangential quality of the speech. It also explains the compensatory speech styles that neurodivergents have to minimize speech errors. http://astynaz.myphotoalbum.com/view_photo.php?set_albumName=al bum03&id=Smart_But_Feeling_Dumb_Dyslexia_017_gif http://astynaz.myphotoalbum.com/view_photo.php?set_albumNa me=album03&id=A_Solution_to_the_Riddle_of_Dyslexia_001_gif

here some things on auditory input speech lags that many neurodivergents have which can get neurotypicals to misunderstand them as slow, stupid, not paying attention or psychiatrists to mistake them for being disoriented from disorganized type of schizophrenia http://astynaz.myphotoalbum.com/view_photo.php?set_albumName=al bum03&id=Smart_But_Feeling_Dumb_Dyslexia_016_gif http://astynaz.myphotoalbum.com/view_photo.php?set_albumName=a lbum03&id=A_Solution_to_the_Riddle_of_Dyslexia_gif

here is something on problems with eye contact that many neurodivergents have which can get them for being mistaken for being dishonest, rude,or other things based on what neurotypicals are taught about body language perception in society and read about in psychology books. The problems which can appear to be an emotional flat effect can get them mistaken for having a disorganized type of schizophrenia by psychiatrists http://astynaz.myphotoalbum.com/view_photo.php?set_albumName=album0 3&id=dr_levinson_eye_contact_shake_hands

I have all these issues as a neurodivergent, and so I know about these personally. They do affect how I socially interact with others. I do get misunderstood a lot because of those problems. I use compensatory mechanisms to minimize the problems in the form of introspection and visualization. The eye contact is more difficult because I am very visual in my thinking, and I rely on that as a coordination mechanism and when I am looking at people, I get visual overload. I also get auditory overload, and so during communicating with others, the simultaneous overload of both visual and auditory input can lead me to very overloaded to the point of confusion to the point that I can seem spacy, disoriented which can either get me mistaken for being slow, stupid, not paying attention. It can get me mistaken for a disorganized type of schizophrenia by psychiatrists.

I would check both Neptune and Saturn connected to Mercury,3rd house,Moon. I would also check the 6th house because it's naturally ruled by Mercury, and it is associated with organization and routine which tend to be difficult for many neurodivergents...especially ADHDers,Dyspraxics,Dyslexics.
Neptune would be looked at for the nonlinear and hypersensitivity as well as imagination and visualization and Saturn would be looked at for compensatory mechanisms, conscientiousness, and shyness.

Intimidation is generally Saturn or Pluto.

Nervous meaning like you feel energetic would be Uranus.

I can check out his natal chart for you if you want.

I wouldn't just look at the ecliptic longitude aspects though. I would also look at the midpoints and the declinations including declination midpoints.

I love looking at neurological/communication/information processing difference indicators in charts.

Glaucus, that's super interesting. the person who feels nervous is myself in this case. and i DO have a very minor speech impediment already. i don't have a history of stuttering etc, but i don't open my mouth wide when i talk, and i have an uncomfortable feeling in my throat and constantly clearing it, althoguh i've managed to reduce the amount of going "a-hem" in the recent years (oh thank god). but the low voice problem isn't fun and practical especially that i sing in a band...! i really need to do something about it.

but at the same time, i'm seen as a very extroverted person. i certainly look directly into the eyes of people who i converse with, and as someone who grew up in Japan i tend to always intimidate them, because they find it impolite.

but i have this problem especially with this person. it's like he draws out my problems forward, and actually he's the only person who is open and kind enough to point out to me when i'm speaking in too low voice and i have to try to correct it, which i really appreciate because i believe constant reminders from a friend can help with improvement.

Glaucus, if you want to look for clues to my problem, i'm more than happy to show you my chart. i'm curious to know what's affecting me. should i post the chart here or send it to you?

cool Peri, thanks.

i see that my Saturn widely conjunct his Uranus/Moon (6-8 degrees). his Saturn squares my Uranus. i natally have my Moon quincunx Uranus. And my Moon quincunx his Pluto, which is in a 4 degree conjunction with his Moon/Uranus, which gives a us a little Yod formation between my Moon, Uranus and his Moon/Uranus/Pluto, that's widely conjunct my Saturn. it looks like we have a little locked up situation involving our Moon, Uranus and Saturn (plus Pluto), though it's not super tight.

Very interesting!

I don't stutter myself. I clutter though. the speech that Dr. Levinson wrote about that needs to be differentiated from psychotic speech seems like it was cluttering. That's what I do. I think that I stutter a little when I am nervous when speaking in front of the people. I can easily get that way with women that I like, and I did that with girls that I liked. I was very shy when being with gals that I was very interested in. That's probably reflected by the t-square of Moon in Pisces in 6th square the opposition of retrograde Saturn in Gemini in 9th and Jupiter-Neptune in Sagittarius in 3rd and Saturn contraparallel Mercury-Venus-Neptune parallel. My mother told me that my father had speech problems that included stuttering and cluttering. One of her paternal half brothers had speech problems that included stuttering.

I also tend to mumble.

here is a site on cluttering http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cluttering

I also have stuff on cluttering in my neurodivergence blog http://people.tribe.net/4b0cf8c4-1fc3-4171-92d3-b0915985bf95/blog/30374e 65-6843-4843-b689-d30a34ae8e54

Cluttering researcher Dr. Kenneth St. Louis,a clutterer himself, confirmed me that I am a clutterer after he called me for research in regards to cluttering and learning disabilities and listened to me talk.

you can give your birthdata here if you want.

are you primarily a visual, picture thinker by any chance. I definitely am. I think in pictures, visualize things in my mind's eye nonstop. People that are primarily visual, picture thinkers can have problems with speech because of their nonlinear thinking processes. Psychiatrists really need to understand to avoid diagnosing them as having psychotic disorders. They tend to mistake nonlinear thinking for psychiatric disorders.

another thing to know is that visual, picture thinking is much faster than verbal, word thinking even though it can be mistakened for being slow because of delays/problems with verbal, word processing.

Those are the main things that I want to raise awareness as a neurodiversity advocate.

that's very interesting, Glaucus. yea here's my birth info, 19th December 1977, 5:36 AM, Toyoshina, Japan.

i'm unsure if my way of speech can be considered cluttering, but i never really knew of this condition. it's just that i speak with very low voice when i'm not paying attention, but never unintentionally too fast or problems with poor syntax. i think my problem is rather minor, because it hardly causes problems in my social and private life, except personally it really bothers me. and only close people, my mother, maybe my aunt and the friend above have mentioned it to perhaps learn to stop that.

also that's interesting that you ask if i am a visually oriented person. i've studied art my whole life and people often say that i have an interesting way of looking at things, because i'm 3D oriented or so they say. i don't know how others look at things so i'm not quite sure if i'm any different from the others though. but i don't think it's super weird, it's within the common range of artistic people.

it's really weird though, so i have this slight problem with my speaking, but i can be very quick-witted and humorous in conversations. these 2 aspects are sort of simultaneously showing up in my social life, and sometimes i feel devastated by that.

The first thing that I noticed is that your Mercury in Capricorn is retrograde, and that could indicate that the mind is more introspective, reflective. That could be an indicator of the nonlinear mind.
Your retrograde Mercury in Capricorn has some affinity with my retrograde Saturn in Gemini.

Your Mercury is trine Sedna with 1'12 orb, and that can indicate that the thought processes are otherworldly. Sedna is the most distant object in our solar system when it is at its most distant point (aphelion). With Sedna being named after the Inuit Sea Goddess, it seems that it could be very Neptune-like in its energy. I would say that your Mercury trine Sedna can indicate vivid imagination, visualization, multidimensional in your thinking. With Sedna being a kuiper belt object, your thinking is metaphysically oriented and nonconformist.

Your Mercury is trine Saturn with 2'42 orb,and that's good for having linear, practical, logical thinking.

I also couldn't help noticing that your Moon is conjunct Eris with only 1 minute of arc! WOW....That's incredible. Eris is very strong in your chart. Eris is a kuiper belt object like Sedna, and so it's highly metaphysically oriented like Sedna. The emotions are metaphysically oriented and nonconformist. It seems like emotional need to have diversity, equality in one's life. There could be lessons in involving those things as well as ideology.

I checked out your midpoints

Your Ascendant is conjunct Mercury/Uranus midpoint with only 4 minutes of arc, and that can indicate quick,innovative,and/or unconventional communications with others.

I have Uranus conjunct Mercury/Ascendant midpoint with 36 minutes, and that's similar to your configuration.

Your Sun conjunct Mercury/Venus with 55 minutes of arc indicates self expression of aesthetic communications, and this is good for art and for socializing. I have Mercury conjunct/parallel Venus myself, and so similar to yours.

Your Mercury is oppose Eris/Midheaven midpoint with 21 minutes of arc, and this can indicate metaphysically oriented, divergent, nonconformist thinker/communicator. I have Mercury biquintile Eris with 5 minutes of arc,and so similar.

Your Mercury is oppose Moon/Midheaven midpoint with 21 minutes of arc, and this can indicate an emotionally oriented type of
thinker/communicator. It also has to do with communications involving females with Moon having to do with females.

Your Mercury is oppose Saturn/Sedna midpoint with 44 minutes of arc, and this could indicate the possibility of a combination of speech restrictions/limitations,a speech impediment and multidimensional thinking that is more grounded in practical way. You have that configuration because your Mercury,Saturn, and Sedna are in a grand trine.

I have Mercury oppose Saturn/Sedna midpoint with 16 minutes of arc, and so I have the same as you but mine is much closer in orb which can indicate a stronger theme. Mine comes from having Mercury,Saturn, and Sedna in 11th harmonic triangle...with Uranus,it's an 11th harmonic isosceles trapezoid. I have Sedna oppose Mercury/Uranus midpoint with 17 minutes of arc.

I checked the semisquares, sesququadrates. They are used in Cosmobiology.

Mercury semisquare Venus/Pluto midpoint indicates that communications, thought processes involving intense, transformation affections, aesthetics. This can be good for charm, art, and psychology..especially in regards to relationship counseling.

Your Mercury semisquare Node/Midheaven midpoint with 43 minutes of arc which can indicate communications involving making important connections, associations in relating to your aim of life.

Your Mercury semisquare Node/Sun midpoint with 49 minutes of arc which can indicate communications involving connections, associations, self expression...also connections with males with Sun having to do with males

Your Neptune is semisquare your Mercury/Saturn midpoint with 35 minutes of arc and this can indicate the dissolution, inspiration, sensitivity involving your linear, logical thinking. This can also indicate thoughts of insecurity and shyness in communications.

I have something similar with my Saturn contraparallel Mercury-Neptune parallel and Saturn in Gemini in oppose Neptune in 3rd

we have some things in common

Your North Lunar Node is in 11'15 Libra trines my Midheaven in 11'14 Gemini and my North Lunar Node in Aquarius in 10'29 Aquarius. My Chiron in 10'32 Aries is conjunct your South Lunar Node in 11'15 Aries in a grand trine to your Ceres in 11'38 Sagittarius and Mars in 11'18 Leo Retrograde which is conjunct my South Lunar Node in 10'29 Leo. Your Ceres is conjunct my Imum Coeli in 11'14 Sagittarius with 24 minutes of arc. I guess all that means that I was supposed to help you in some way.

Very interesting!

You are fine the way that you are.

Glaucus, that was a GREAT read! thank you so much for interpreting my chart. not only I am amazed of the actual configurations you found in my chart, but also that we have some very similar aspects. that's really cool and proves the theory.

I had noticed Eris in my chart, but I never knew what it could have meant. thank you for giving me the explanation, that seems to fall in the right place for me, especially this line "The emotions are metaphysically oriented and nonconformist. It seems like emotional need to have diversity, equality in one's life.". I've always had problems, when communication called the need for "that" level of explanation (which doesn't happen with daily communication often), people found my view too far "out there"... my understanding of the world appears to be too liberal to them, but it makes a total sense in my head. and i wondered why people had an impossible time getting it, because for me that's the natural stance... Not to criticise them or anything, but i always found most people in the rest of the world so fixated onto ideas and i really never understood why. it's not an exaggeration if i may say i've lived myself trying to learn and understand that people are different from me.

all in all, what you said really sort of opened up my eyes, like things seems to make sense a bit more now. thank you so much for that! i think, maybe i can use this knowledge to slowly make improvements with my speech, because knowing adds to the confidence, you know? cool cool coo!

i am still a bit nervous or shy around my boyfriend even though we spend several hours a day with eachother. my uranus conjuncts his mercury and saturn and i think that's a huge part of it, when i'm shy. (i have uranus opposite moon natally and i'm not used to BEING in my uranus, and his planets draw me back into that energy and help me ground myself in it). his uranus conjuncts my neptune, sextiles my mercury, mars, sun stellium. wonder if that's part of it too?

Shyness is more about fear. I would say that would be Saturn. Therefore,I'd look at Saturn in regards to shyness.

A combination of Saturn-Neptune involving personal planets would seem to indicate shyness, insecurity.
