Anyone here with that aspect or knows people with that aspect? I know someone with this aspect (mercury conjunct sun EXACT, in sagittarius) and he cannot accept or make sense of anything outside the realm of logic and reason. So, he doesnt believe in psychics, astrology, and anything that can't be explained with logic or is not reasonable. Thoughts? IP: Logged |

I know someone with the same aspect and sign. He isn't interested in much outside of football, cars and sex. I can't imagine having a conversation with him about the principles of logic and reason in relation to esoteric studies. IP: Logged |

lol wow, how do you think that cazimi is manifested for him? any aspects to it?the guy i mentioned is extremely intellectual and a fine critical thinker. i just started having a conversation with him about the limitations of logic and human mind. He cannot accept there is anything higher than reason. lol and i have a tough time trying to tell him about some of my views because they cannot be explained within the bounds of logic. IP: Logged |

This guy looks nice with his top off. I take a good look at the hair on his chest and nod along whilst he tells me all about the half-time score. IP: Logged |

Many have a conjunction between Sun and Mercury, not all cazimi. Depends on his ASC/chart set up for that.Though you do mention both are placed in Sagittarius, opposite sign of logical Gemini. Seems more of an abstract placement. Or even how a womans mind might work. Jupiter is 3rd (thinking) from 7th (woman)

I believe DD has mercury combust, but not cazimi - as I understand cazimi to be a state when a planet is within 17 arc minutes of the sun. DD's mercury and sun are more than 17 arc minutes apart, although they are both found at the same deg [25 Sag?].Combust planets are a different kettle of fish altogether. IP: Logged |

Jinks PA I think cazimi mercury certainly 'strengthens' the intellect, perhaps it may even make the native's mental attributes burn brightly, but knowledge [intellect] is not wisdom. IP: Logged |

Shirt off man has 14 minutes arc. Semi-sextile Saturn, Sextile Mars. Not one of life's intellectuals but has nice manners and will jump up to move heavy objects if asked. Street-wise smart. Nice pair of thighs. IP: Logged |

LOL the jinx Redstar. Yes, yes - love what you said about knowledge not equating to wisdom. Well said.Wouldn't the Merc cazimi simply equate to the person's expression of their intellect, rather than the style of the intellect itself? IP: Logged |

Lol bluemoon! Thank the stars for nice thighs Very true PA, I guess the ease of expression doesn't quite make up for lack of content - as can be seen by Mr. sex/sport/nice thighs. Maybe he just lacks imagination? IP: Logged |

It says he isnt that intelligent because he could use hair clippers/razor, which would be less painful and girly. IP: Logged |

He's sitting watching sport on TV. How much imagination does it require? Perhaps the point is in the intellectual inspiration he inspires in his chest fluff admiring beau?Very true. I think we've all met people who indulge in self-important intellectual posturing with very little content. IP: Logged |

lol@ bluemoon... ahh, all he has are easy aspects. coffee: yes! opposite sign of logical gemini is right! and he has a stellium there too! (along with neptune and uranus). Heres the kicker though, his moon is in gemini opposite his sun/merc/neptune. I think there is a much more intuitive side to him than he is comfortable with. PA:"Wouldn't the Merc cazimi simply equate to the person's expression of their intellect, rather than the style of the intellect itself?" yes...that's a very good point... thanks for bringing it up! how would you describe merc/pluto conjunct? merc cazimi is all bright and shiny and expressive merc-pluto is all dark and gloomy and secretive (does anyone have this aspect btw?)

My mother has Mercury/Pluto conjunct but not cazimi. It is also joined by the Sun. She is.. eccentric. Intellectualism, no.She is also the reason I rarely lie. I grew up quickly realising it was a waste of my time. My mother does not work on the principles of rationale and logic. It is all intuition, emotion, feeling. Sign=Leo. Bright and shiny? Like Eeyore. Cazimi boy does not remove fluff. It's just me who thinks about it, his mind is on the soccer and his car. IP: Logged |

Right because women are incapable of logical thought. I could go into a big feministy rant but I won't. I'll just say that to look at astrology from a 1st house = me/man, 7th house = you/woman point of view is very sexist. It assumes that the default person is a man and the other is a woman. I HATE that crap. It's dehumanizing. As for the cazimi placement, most descriptions of Sun conjunct Mercury say that the native has a hard time being objective. IP: Logged |

Ah, so you are woman. Therefore you must be feminist. You only get equal pay if you play enough sets at tennis luv, darling. Just messing. Yeah, Man=Mars and Venus=Women says plenty about the relationship between the two. Man being 1st obviously. Although it does bring a chicken and egg situation, which came first out of Man and Woman? (any jokes?) IP: Logged |

You might want to re-think this theory after offering up this classic bit of advice to pire:- quote: Your Mars opposing his Venus isnt too bad, natural male/female relationship
Who is a gay man. I wasn't going to point this out but I had one of those irrational moments caused by having a vagina and swirling female hormones

No need to re-think at all.Meaning Venus/Mars are opposite each other in the zodiac, indicating the type of relationship between man/woman. Showing how Venus/Mars relate naturally, not applying it to his natal. Obviously would need more information about what house they rule. Unless I read it wrong. Yes, Vagina and irrational is understandable. IP: Logged |
