Hi everyone, I hope you are all having a wonderful day!

I have a chart that I need help understanding. As I am somewhat new to astrology I'm not good with interpretation, aside from googling aspects all day long, and would love your input... the chart is for the guy that I'm really interested in. He doesn't believe in astrology but hasn't given it much of a chance, so I'm hoping to open his mind to the possibility (: He asked me to do his chart and let him know what it says about him, so I would love your help!

I'll try to post the picture right after this, but I've been unsuccessful so far with posting pics, so here are his placements for now:

Sun- Aquarius 29 degrees
Jupiter- Aquarius 29
Venus- Pisces 7
Mercury- Pisces 13
Neptune- Capricorn 5
Mars- Sagittarius 9
Saturn- Sagittarius 9
Uranus- Sagittarius 21
Pluto- Scorpio 7
Moon- Gemini 20
Ascendant- Gemini 8

I'm not just interested in his overall personality, but his relationship potential.

Any insight?

Thanks Azalaksh! That's a great suggestion... I'll get right to it!

MyVirgoMask- yep, it IS a lot of squares. Mainly involving his Saturn-Mars conjunction squared with his stellium in the 10th. What do you think that means for him?

I could talk about his personlity, but why bother? You think he is a hunk and thats all you need. Nice, caring, funny, sweet? You dont care, just as long as he has nice arse.

Jupiter ruler of his 7th is about to return (happens once every 12 years) and then move onto conjunct 1st ruler Mercury. This time and within the next year is the best time for him to meet someone. Make sure you tell him that, he will beleive you even if he doesnt believe in astrology. (ie, ei, never sure which)

Relationship potential.....

Gemini risers might have a repuataion for being a little footloose and fancy free, dont like to be hemmed in with relationships. On open relationship, or one which allows a large amount of freedom, is best.
With Jupiter on the 7th, the planet describes the partner: foreign, sport, philosophical. With ruler of 7th - Jupiter, placed in the 9th, he meets his partner in 9th house place - foreign land, sports games, police station.

If you check your natal and it shows the meeting of a partner, it will probably be good for a relationship between the two of you.

Lara, I'm not sure what Neptune in 8th ruled by Saturn would mean? I'm intrigued!

Coffee, you are so funny and so right, very nice arse You see, I'm typically a very cautious person when it comes to love, despite my Sun-Mercury-Ascendant conjunction in Gemini... guess it's due to my Venus in Cancer. But for some reason, I'm throwing all reason out the window with this guy, so I see a need to analyze it to death.

Your suggestion to check my natal just made me realize something about myself... I'm strongly attracted to guys with a Sun-Jupiter conjunction, and now I know it's because Jupiter is the ruler of my Descendant! I haven't come in contact with many Sagittarius guys, in fact it's one of the only signs I haven't dated. But I do love Aquarius and so one with a Jupiter influence may be the best of both worlds.

Another thing about Jupiter in my chart- its transit is trine my Sun and Mercury (1st ruler), conjunct my MC, inconjunct my Venus, and opposite my Saturn-Mars conjuction. So it looks like some good things for meeting someone, and not so good things (that's as far as I know how to interpret that!).

I also wonder, since his 7th house ruler is in the 9th (foreign places), would it count that I'm from a different cultural background?

Oh, and it's ie

By the way Azalaksh, the interactive chart was really helpful! I got a good idea of what a lot of his aspects mean in love... such a great tool. Though, for some reason it's still difficult for me to derive an overall picture. From my own knowledge, when I think of an Aquarius Sun, Gemini Moon/Ascendant and Sagittarius Mars the picture painted in my mind is of someone who is amazing for me to be with for a short time and who may be able to sweep me off my feet, but isn't the most faithful or stable partner. Does anyone have a different take than mine on that combo?

With Sag on the descendant, he probably appreciates a girl who's wiling to travel long distances to see him. Looks like he's attracted to women with a unique mixture of spontaneity and unconventionality (Uranus in the 7th and ruler of the 7th in Aquarius), but also a certain stableness and maturity (Saturn on descendant and ruler of 7th in the 10th house).

The Mars/Saturn conjunction on his descendant -- very poorly aspected at that -- along with 7th house Uranus looks like a big wild card when it comes to relationships. Either he attracts aggressive/cold women (at worst), or partners with a considerable age difference, or relationships that are unstable... or he may have a tendency to be overly dominating and aggressive with his partner. This could be mitigated by the sensitive Pisces Venus though.

With the 10th house stellium he has the potential to be very driven, ambitious, and career-oriented. Aquarius midheaven -- does he have some sort of unusual occupation? Or something dealing with science or technology?

Neptune in the 8th could give him an idealized, intuitive approach to sex.

He has so many easy Pluto aspects. He may be pretty dang mesmerizing and charismatic... may be concerned with personal growth and regeneration, and especially goes through periods of transforming his daily routines, health habits, lifestyle, and maybe his work.

T-square with moon/Uranus and Mercury at the apex, in cardinal houses -- he may grapple with unstable and erratic emotions, which can find an outlet in the way he communicates. If he seems to contradict himself or say something hypocritical, it's a reflection of the fact that, inside, he doesn't completely understand his own emotions and is surprised by the things he feels.

The sun/Jupiter conjunction is awesome... he is probably a lot of fun to be around. Optimistic and open-minded. In Aquarius, he has a genuine concern for humanity and the well-being of others.

Can you post your synastry with him?

If you're the type of person who needs a lot of stability, affection, and comfort with a man, he may be too much of a free spirit. Certainly he looks like an interesting guy. But the Saturn squares could bring some of his own baggage into the picture that results in a reluctance to get too close... he needs space, lots of space. If not physically, then mentally and emotionally.

Just reading what you've written, I'm wondering what kind of Neptune inter-aspects you have with him. It sounds like you're throwing caution to the wind in a lot of ways, which can be a fun and exciting way to live sometimes. But if there are any hard Neptune aspects between you, just make sure your expectations and perceptions are grounded in reality. This guy has an earth singleton, Neptune... he may not be terribly grounded, so you might have to compensate by making a conscious effort to keep your own head out of the clouds

Could be some problems if you have a lot of mutable planets in your own chart (adding fire to the rash of squares between his Sag and Pisces/late Aqua stelliums)..

Origamisalami! Thank you SO much for the thought you put into this... you really have some amazing and accurate insight. I don't know him as well as I probably should, but your words are dead on with my gut feeling, and reading your words bring that more to the surface for me.

To get to your questions and a little bit of background info that may help make sense (this may be wordy, I've already started on my birthday celebration with a little bit of wine )...

It's funny you say he may be attracted to older women because he mentioned that he usually is, and that is what I am. I do feel an amazing connection with him. And I am an unconventional person, so that may be part of the attraction. You are right about the T-square too. I've noticed that he hasn't been the most reliable when it comes to communication. He writes/calls for a few days on and off. Being a Gemini with variable communication patterns, I understand it and don't take it personally. I do get the feeling I've only seen the tip of the iceburg with his unpredictability. And thank you for reminding me that I may be the one to have to stay grounded, because it is true with him, I can already see it. That's a challenge for me, but I know I can do it if I need to.

Our Neptunes are in each other's 7th house. Mine conjuncts and sits between his his Mars-Saturn conjunction and Uranus, squares his Venus and Mercury, opposes his moon and Chiron, and quintiles his Sun and Jupiter. His Neptune is square my Pluto-Moon-NN conjunction, trine my Mars-Saturn conjunction and Chiron, and opposite my Jupiter. LOTS of Neptune.

Alrighty, on to the synastry chart:

edited for privacy

When I look at this synastry, I see many great aspects, many similarites, and some really difficult ones. The thing that pops out is my Mars-Saturn conjunction opposing his Sun-Jupiter-Venus and my Mars squaring his Saturn-Mars (some of these aspects aren't drawn in the chart for some reason). Although, they are involved in grand trines which I believe is supposed to relieve some of the tension.

So now that the synastry chart is visible, does some of this make sense?

Ooh, there really are some nice things going on in the synastry. I imagine part of your attraction to him is because, when you look at him, you 'see' yourself in a lot of ways -- you reflect each other and complement each other.

The sun/moon conjunction is beautiful -- so classic for deep understanding and simpatico. Especially falling into each other's 1st house. Ditto for the aligned angles; you and he see the world in a similar way and probably go through life experiences during the same time line, since transiting planets hit your houses roughly at the same time. That can add to a feeling of bonded-ness for sure,

I find it fascinating that you both have a Saturn/Mars conjunction right on top of an angle (IC for you, DC for him). Similar patterns in natal charts seem to crop up often in significant relationships -- creates a similar temperament and mutual understanding.

I also like that your chart makes no negative aspects to his Saturn/Mars conjunction, which is probably the sorest part of his chart. Your energy doesn't exacerbate the problems those planets bring for him; you just have a nice sextile from your moon, bringing emotional support.

Yeah, his sun/Jupiter opposition your Saturn/Mars could be a little tough. Especially because you're already older and he has a very strong desire for freedom, he might perceive you as trying to discipline him or criticize him (even if you aren't actually trying to). He probably isn't a fan of an authority figure dynamic, so if he ever seems to squirm away or rebel, just give him some space until he gets over it.

With his Mercury square your Neptune, make sure you're both completely honest with each other. There could be a tendency to promise more than you can deliver or "read" things into conversations, phrases, or words that weren't really intended... again, good idea to stay grounded here.

His erratic communication style could be even more apparent in this relationship, due to his Uranus opposition your Mercury. Sounds like you know how to handle that, though

Lastly, Saturn is about 5 degrees away from entering his 5th house and squaring his moon. He may change quite a bit when this happens and take on a different, more somber approach to relationships. However, his Jupiter return is also coming up, which should be fun.

Good luck... please keep us updated on how it's going with him.

I'm no numerologist, but from my calculations this is a classic meeting between Venus and Mars. Hot!! Mutual sexual attraction, more than just friends from the beginning.

He was born on the 18th, ruled by mars. You were born on the 15th, ruled by Venus.

At age 23 (2+3=5) he is drawn magnetically to Mercury energy. At age 31 (3+1=4) you are drawn hypnotically to Aquarius energy. From here, I see bliss at least until someone has birthday.

Origami salami-
I really do love your insight. You brought up points I would've never noticed with my limited knowledge. Again your words resonate with my gut feeling. Thanks for your time and thoughts. It really helps to have an astrological perspective, because if astrology does influence this relationship, then knowledge of the dynamics can help keep me grounded and aware.

My Mars does square his Mars-Saturn (orb of 8 degrees), it just doesn't show up in the picture for some reason. My Pluto-Moon conjunction feels like a big part of who I am, so maybe there will be some kind of compensation there with it's sextile.

Nine-
Wow, what an awesome numerology connection you made. I don't know much about numerology, but that sounds really great! Maybe this Venus-Mars thing may have something to do with the fact that I feel very feminine in his presence, lessening the strong masculine energy I typically carry in myself. Sometimes if I feel like I'm being pinned down in an expected societal role, I'll rebel in some way (my sun is in the Uranus-ruled Aquarius decante of Gemini). But, I don't mind being in that role with him (not that anyone is pinning me to it, it's just happening naturally).

I will definitely keep you guys posted about the unfolding of this relationship...

I'd like to comment more, but I've gotta head out. My best friend is making spaghetti and meatballs for my birthday dinner and my stomach is growling!!!

Have a wonderful evening.
