I love classical Greek architecture and sculpture, Japanese gardens and tea rituals (actually streamed many Japanese programs for a while -- really love that culture), and food from the Orient and Meditarrenean areas. I've got Jupiter in Capricorn in my 4th conjunct Saturn, so I guess you could say I like culture that has "stood the test of time" and tends to simplicity of line.

For the longest time I loved learning about ancient Egypt. Pyramids, temples, hieroglyphics and the whole cleopatra look.

Asian cultures (more so Japan) would be a second.

I love learning about other cultures a lot.

I have Jupiter in Libra and Japan is supposed to be Libran. I admire a lot of things about their culture. They display the calm orderliness of Saturn in Libra and much of their lifestyle involves exacting artistry, another thing that reminds me of it. I notice their culture reflects many Saturnine characteristics.

Gemini is on my 9th house cusp so I enjoy learning about other cultures since Mercury conjuncts Jupiter and I have the Gemini/Sagittarius axis on 3/9 house.

And SPANISH guitar for the fire, passion, rhythm and simplicity -- Jesse Cook, Roni Benise, Otmar Liebert, Marc Antoine. I think that's my 9th house Mars checking in!

Everything to do with Great Britain (loving their poetry and literary inheritance) + Middle East + Coastal Mediterranean + fascinated & in love with isles.

Empty 9th house in Capricorn (Saturn in Leo 4th house), Jupiter in Taurus in 12th house. I'm totally not feeling any Capricorn vibe in 9th.

Omg I hate Bollywood films...
Yeah one or two are okay but I don't know how people sit through all of them.
The only good indian films aren't commercially successful because they belong to the indie genre.
Most indians are that have good taste are sick of them too.

I like japanese culture, and ancient Egyptian

Sweden, Norway. FRANCEEEEEE.

Iceland.

When I was younger, I had this thing about China. Still do, honestly but I heard learning Mandarin and Cantonese is damn near impossible, and I'm not really good at picking up languages in the first place. Plus my astrocartography for that area, sucks.

My goal is actually to try and move to France once I finish college. I used to think France was just really snooty and silly but I read up a bit on Parisian life and if anything I think they might be the exact opposite of that, and the day to day life there would be a lot similar to how I'd wanna live.

"all roads lead to Rome"

Some of my ancestors hailed from Greece, migrated to USA around the turn of the century (last). Presumably during the 1870's like many Western European migration waves (occupation). I've only had a bit of evidence to say that we are at least partially Thessalonian, another group that pops up in my ancestry quest (ahem~ research) is Makedonian-Anatolian. So I have a special, personal interest in Greek cultures, though mostly I'd say I'm concerned with archaeological matters. My obsession with Classical archaeology spans the entire Mediterranean region (though it decreases sharply around the 14th century AD), but Egypt was the beginning, that's where my heart belongs, in truth. But, I despise Hawass, and find the political/societal unrest in modern Egypt, the extremism, racism, intolerance - whatever you want to call it (all around corruption, maybe). Has made it more appalling than inviting, even for a lifelong Aegyptophile like myself. So, I don't see myself going to half of the places I'd always dreamed I'd go in Egypt in this lifetime at least.

Thessaly and Turkey on the other hand... absolutely! ^^

I have a lot of love for East Asian cultures both past and present; and Bengali (3-6th century BC) culture (of course this region is beyond my interest today) as well as Tamil/Sri Lankan Indian culture - But my interest in the Asian continent is fairly new for me still, not something I really knew I was drawn to, just something I discovered one piece at a time that I did have curiosity for after all! I think the Tibetan, Tamil, and Bengali interests I can find more about from where I am now, and with (again) the political (pseudo-religious?) discontent in each of those regions today - I'm safer observing and learning from where I am now. But, they do interest me a great deal! ^^; There's no one thing that interests me alone in Far Eastern culture... just a lot of little things that compel me to keep studying them... I almost feel as though I'm looking for something that I need there - but... NN Gemini... paranoia? XD *spirit-mind says go East* so, I keep going further East... lol
Japan and Korea, for the most part, I am interested in literary culture, and mythology... although observing their traditions and costumes, and cuisine is definitely *something* too! lol - (also, I'm not perfect, but I do consider myself taoist, not religiously, spiritually, and philosophically - the taoist path and I clicked instantly, in a way organized, popular religious beliefs could never.)

But, as you can see - it's mostly historical culture that interests me, more than surviving/modern cultures. I'd love a culture that accepted the conveniences of today, and finally did away with what has failed our kind time and time again (imho - it always comes down to ignorance, greed/envy and vanity/hubris). ^^; Where is that... utopian... culture? Will we ever see it?

images~ googled (been busy as of late, no time for adjusting/relocating images)~ ^^; sorry.

Good to see you again, Moonfish! <3 Hope you are well!!!

Definitely France. I majored in the language in college and opted to live there for a few years, as well.

I also really appreciate Europe generally, though. I love the architecture, the art, the languages, the literature, the FOOD, and just the general variety of landscapes and peoples crammed into a really small area.

Taurus 9th House
Venus in Pisces (6th House)
Jupiter in Cancer (10th House)

Yes

Although I'd feel kinda awkward having my kids watch the Cobra Dance in Bride and Prejudice

Have you seen Parineeta? That's one of the best movies I ever saw.

Beautiful Parineeta Scene

Well I am not pretending to have good taste, I just like what I like!

Have you seen 3 Idiots? Commercially successful and brilliant. Slumdog Millionaire, does that count for Bollywood?

I admit, I have watched some Bollywood films that were terrible. And, even worse, I sat there the whole time trusting that they would eventually get better...and they didn't.
