How does it work? And how do we know who is blessed with singing talent or a beautiful voice?I have Saturn and Moon in the third house, two contrasting planets in the same house. I can't sing, my third house ruler is Aries -- Mars is in sixth house and is lowly aspected and in FALL. IP: Logged |

I have Aries on the third cusp too, and my Mars is badly afflicted, also; I can't sing for sh*t, but to be fair to me I have absolutely no interest in being a musician, so who cares lol.My secret fantasy is being a ballet dancer but that ship sailed a longggg time ago. Pisces or Libra on the third house cusp might make for a good voice I'm thinking because of the association with Neptune, and Venus. IP: Logged |

My oldest son sings beautifully. The most beautiful tenor voice you've ever heard. Problem is he never discovered it until later in life and now at 45 he thinks he is too old. He has Mercury and Venus exact conjunct his MC in Leo. Saturn quincunx's this conjunction which may have delayed his discovering his gift. He has a site on the Internet with his singing and I love listening to him. I have Venus conjunct my MC and can sing. Always sang in the choir but not alone. I'm really not that good alone. I did sing in a trio once in front of the whole church. I love music and I love singing but I just don't quite have "it". IP: Logged |

Third house with Sagittarius on the cusp and Mars therein, can sing better than average, had lessons as a kid.IP: Logged |

I have the sun in my third house (virgo). I'm not sure if I can sing well but I've been told I have a "cute" speaking voice and sometimes told I could sound like a radio announcer or something LOL. Not sure how it works tho... IP: Logged |

^^ same thing happened to me with audio production. My instructor thought I would be good on the radio but I was too chicken to take her seriously. My tapes sounded great, she thought. She even complimented me on how good I was at it but it was just too intimidating.IP: Logged |

It's really depend on others aspect and mercury 
I have only Neptune in 3rd House, trine venus.I can't sing , I hate singing , if s.o. make me sing I" ll shoot myself. HahahaMy 3rd cusp is scorpio , mercury(2ndH) is also in scorpio and wide conjunct to pluto  IP: Logged |

Beautiful speaking or singing voices are more due to a Taurus or general Venus influence than third house and Mercury. The latter would influence WHAT you say, not how your voice makes it sound. IP: Logged |

Actually Mercury is more than just what you say. It's how you think too, as well as embodying the entire way you communicate...which should obviously include your voice, itself. The third house is the house associated with Mercury. I think the OP was spot on. I know others here have tried to say it's second house but second house is what you own, and your personal value system; it doesn't really have anything to do with a person's voice or communication, and to add to the point, I have Pisces on the 2nd house cusp, and trusssst me - I cannot sing. Well, that's what I meant.. with most people, the words they speak are a result of their thoughts :-) It just doesn't have anything to do with the physical output. I have taurus rising and Venus conjunct Mercury in 10 - I am an avid second soprano in several vocal groups and considered quite good. At some point I was gonna turn that into a career even, but then I settled on PR and communication instead. These days, I have to speak publicly quite often and people always tell me it's a pleasure to listen to it, both due to thoughts expressed aswell as the sound of my voice. So again.... that's two different things, I just happen to be quite blessed in both aspects. IP: Logged |
