I was wondering....

I have a Sag sun and Merc in Scorp

This other person has Scorp sun and Merc in Sag.

I would think we could communicate well!?
I mean isn't he thinking what I'm saying and vice-versa?

But in reality, when things get to an emotional point, whatever the subject, one of us blows up at the other one, and usually hangs up the phone or drives away in a huff.
Do I have this theory all wrong?

There could be plenty of reasons why you can't communicate well, maybe T. squaring your friend's Mercury or Mercury square Mercury, who knows?

My ex and I have Mercury conjunct Mercury in Aquarius (5 degrees). We got into arguments ALL the time and I can never understand what the hell he's going on about.

We have double whammy Sun square Mars so thats probably why we get ****** at each other.

are the sun mercuries across you both conjunct?

i'm not thinking that this is a factor, of course unless either sun mercury is involved in a conjunction and is also possibly in square aspect in natal/synastry. the blowing up sounds like moon/mercury/mars/uranus.

look at the individual sun/mercuries and see how they are resonating for each in their natals.

also sun conjunct merc in synastry doesn't necessarily mean communicate well, typically in this aspect the sun is driven to talk to mercury and mercury is driven to think about the sun, the quality of that is astrologically, at least, dependent on other synastry and natal aspects to this conjunction.

Is uranus aspecting the mercuries at all? I felt that way about a particular person, my uranus opposed his mercury and I swear I felt like we couldnt talk about jacksquat, and we were always misunderstanding each other... Tried real hard to communicate with him, just felt very hard to.

You need to have a great deal of patience here. You have a strong connection, mental to ego...but you have a disconnect when it comes to mental to mental, ego to ego.

This looks good on paper, but may be too frustrating in the real world. Double disconnect, ego to mental.

But since you both have this natally, you're probably used to this disconnect. Maybe this relationship can help you find missing parts of yourself. But it's not romantic. It's very uncomfortable in a familiar way. Touching on familair areas that we generally leave alone, asking you questions that you've tried to answer but just would rather not. A disconnect. And leaves you feeling annoyed, but nothing too painfull, because it's the relationship that could have been but never was.

Thanks for all your replies.

hmmm, it is a strange connection, and it does require patience, and since he is younger than I am, I remind myself to be patient all the time.

It seems as though I know what he's gonna do before he does it. And I usually call him on it. And I also know when he is trying to keep something quiet that he has already done.
This pi$$es him off a great deal.
He calls me "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong" like from that song.
I would have to make up a new chart for him to find out about the other placements, since I gave him his and didn't give him a copy.
We both have Venus in Sag, which again makes me already know what he's gonna do or how he is gonna act in cetain settings, situations.
Also, for having merc in sag, he is awful at communication! He would rather text, then talk. I'm the opposite.
Finally I got him to use the telephone and thats when he started hanging up on me, which I HATE. When we were texting, he would just type, WE, (whatever) and ignore me until, he was ready to discuss it. Then act like nothing ever happened!
And I've never met someone so loathe to say their sorry in my whole life! He would rather take a bullet.
