What are the aspects/placements in synastry that are deal breakers for you? Anything you've experienced before that when you see it in a chart makes you go "not again"?

Also, are hard aspects to Neptune from personal planets so bad?

Sun conjunction Saturn. I was Sun. Never flippin' again. I rather deal with squares from Saturn than a conjunction especially to my Sun. He zapped all enthusiasm and joy from me.

mercury square mars. Holy sh, I got sick of the petty fights

Moon square mercury- we just can't speak the same language lol

mercury square mercury - doesn't work in the long run. Even though the guy had both his sun and mercury tightly conjunct my MC (sun was exact conjunct, mercury was a degree off)

Sun square mars-- This just aggravated me.

haha, i would tell you but i dont feel like plugging in the yucky exes' birth data..

one thing stands out though. my ex who's mercury was exactly conjunct my mercury and mars always had to have the upper hand and fight me on every single freaking THOUGHT that popped into my mind. he always had to be right and challenge me. you'd think it would be me doing that since it was my mars, but nope. it was like he was so facinated with my mind and yet had to constantly prove me wrong. this all takes place in the sign of aquarius so it's pretty interesting to me since he was of a 'scientific' mindset and essentially constantly tried to tell me i was an idiot for being into astrology (he was into astronomy), and anything else pertaining to my spiritual leanings, same story. i dunno, maybe mercury conjunct mercury alone can produce this in some cases.

personal planets on my south node also were also not good. one ex was sun, the other moon. both felt familiar and comfortable but over all, draining, sapping, debilitating. the sweet easy connection somehow just peters out into a bog-like stangnance and it's difficult to separate because the familiarity is so comfortable.

Holy cow. "Sun conj Saturn" was literally the first thing that popped into my head, and here it is the first reply I read.

I was the Saturn person and it ended up being miserable for me as well.

i've been the saturn person in two such relationship and though the orb was wide (7 for each, they both had the same sun degree!) we never really had this problem. i wonder why?

lol woah mars square mars. Did you get frustrated? I can imagine being an aries mars and seeing the guy with cancer mars being much too passive for my liking.

My dad's a cancer mars, but he's got a stellium in scorpio so he's not like feminine at all.

Oh, Venus on the ASC is nice. It's good to be appreciated. At least that's how I felt until it couldn't go any further.

Hmm... Well, I didn't have enough aspects with that guy, so it didn't go far. I had a crush on him for the longest time and whenever we were at the same party we had to be around each or stare at each other from across the room. I miss it, but am glad I finally got over him.

True, but it was sweet. It went a little further than the surface because we actually wanted to listen to each other when neither of us were shy.

I don't think Sun/Saturn on its own is a deal breaker.
In natal I have Sun trine Saturn & in natal he also has Sun trine Saturn. In synastry we have a grand trine in fire between our Suns and Saturns.. which includes his Saturn conjunct my Sun. He is very positive & encouraging and since I've known him I trust myself a lot more.. I feel more confident and more like *my* true self! So Sun/Saturn has been good for me.

Also - I've noticed that whenever I'm faced with a difficult situation - whether small or more serious... the *thought* of him makes me feel instantly calm. It's like taking a pill LOL
I just think of his face - and it calms me down in any situation, no matter how stressful.

I can't stand Saturn squaring my Venus or Mars - never has a relationship turned longterm for me with this. There was attraction and all but it's like it was getting strangled the whole time. Mars and Venus are huuuuuge to me in my chart.

Saturn sq my Sun is fine. The conjunction seems to make me crazy, and feel somehow like I cannot breathe. I don't know why the square is ok, but it somehow less hard than a conjunction. Like it's not being in a vise.

Also, a lack of Mercury contacts. If Mercury is not aspected in synastry (good or bad), then things never seem to get off the ground. At all.

Aaaand, a totally scattered composite will raise my hackles.

Wish I knew more aspects to give (though that's plenty lol). I'd never like run away from a synastry aspect since it's not my style....and there are some I've never had but wonder about.

Mercury conj/sq/opp Saturn, Mars or Pluto.
H2 transposed, if it contains personal planets, saturn, or ASC.
Anyone w.Sun conj ASC.
Anything around 18 Taurus.
Lack of hard Saturn/Pluto aspects in their natal to their personal planets.
Their Mars conj/sq/opp my Sun.
Their Pluto sq/opp my Sun.
Merc conj/sq Merc.
Their Mars or Saturn sq my Mars/Saturn.
Mars sq Uranus.
Men w.Mars sq/opp Neptune in their natal.
People w.Merc in hard aspect to Mars not a deal breaker, but I'm suspicious of em.

^ These are all deal-breakers in the sense that their effects in my past relationships were more than I wanted to put up with. And most of em were on repeat in others so it's safe to say that it didn't depend on the person.
