Weekly Weather November 2, 2009

It is going to be another active week as Neptune stations to go direct and Venus enters Scorpio. Plus there are a passel of aspects with the rest of the planets ~ busy, busy, busy. Neptune is the last of the Gang of Three to station and turn direct. His shift of direction causes the Gang of Three to all be moving forward again, moving toward a series of unions and new beginnings. The Gang of Three, Neptune, Jupiter and Chiron, are in charge of the collective wisdom, wounds, illusions, delusions, dreams and hopes for healing in your life and your future.

The Gang has been swirling around in the air sign of Aquarius all year. They’ve been asking you as a member of the collective and society how your life serves and now will start to partner with the culture, community or tribe you are a member of. There is a question of how your visions and hopes for the future were and will be changed, challenged or adjusted to satisfy the recent movements and relationship shifts in your life. All these changes will settle down and work themselves into brand new configurations between now and December 7th, 21st and February 17th, 2010. After that you have the vision for your future more firmly in place and the path ahead of you is clear. It will feel like a fog lifts.

I went to the Rubin Museum to see C. G. Jung‘s famous “Red Book”. Almost 100 years old, it is huge, composed of parchment pages with many writings and drawings. In it, he talks about losing the connection to his soul. He begins a journey to retrieve or find his soul again by writing letters to his soul and dreaming. He starts to incorporate conscious dreaming into his own life and then into his work with patients to help them connect with their souls.

The Red Book contains drawings, writings, mandalas, musings and images of Jung’s understanding of his soul and the larger cosmology he lives and believes in. For many years, his family held the book privately, locked in a bank vault, fearing, perhaps, that revealing Jung’s mid-life skid into crisis where he lost his soul, goes looking for it and finds it would impact negatively on his memory and work.

In all things, synchronicity plays a role. Now Jung‘s Red Book is published for the first time and available to all of us. Humankind stands at an apex of losing our collective soul and vision with Pluto‘s entry into Capricorn, the 12th house of the collective‘s soul. Jung’s Red Book will help us go out and look for it again.

Neptune rules where we find both little g and big G, God/god in our chart. Neptune describes what we worship and what is divine to us. Neptune speaks to where we will sacrifice our very being to preserve our soul or maybe even under what conditions we will sell our soul. Neptune IS the soul of our chart. Jupiter joining to Neptune on December 21 will ask us to work with our Aquarian soul in a new way for the next 13 or so years, until April 2022. We are beginning to formulate what our conscious soul’s journey will be between now and December 21. And, of course, our UN-conscious soul will be coming along for the ride, singing in our ear if we go off course. So we are also formulating the unconscious soul’s journey.

In the larger picture of your life, how is your relationship to your soul going? In the smaller day to day moments of your life, what does your soul say to you? What is your soul’s opinion on your life? How in touch are you with your soul? When is the last time you talked to your soul over a steaming cup of peppermint tea?

According to an article in the New York Times, Jung’s advice to a client for processing what went on in the deeper and sometimes frightening parts of her mind was: “I should advise you to put it all down as beautifully as you can ~ in some beautifully bound book. It will seem as if you were making the visions banal ~ but then you need to do that ~ then you are freed from the power of them. Then when these things are in some precious book you can go to the book & turn over the pages & for you it will be your church ~ your cathedral ~ the silent places of your spirit where you will find renewal. If any one tells you that it is morbid or neurotic and you listen to them ~ then you will lose your soul ~ For in that book is your soul.”

I find the fastest way to connect into your soul is to thank it or be grateful for where it has taken you so far in your life. I like to sing to my soul. I know, it sounds kind of weird but Neptune rules music. Music calms and connects to the soul! My favorite song for when I want to do some serious Soul Talking is John Bucchino’s song Grateful. The lyrics are below. I encourage you to go listen to the song on the internet. It is a great week for all of us to do some serious Soul Talking!

I've got a roof over my head
I've got a warm place to sleep
Some nights I lie awake counting gifts
Instead of counting sheep

I've got a heart that can hold love
I've got a mind that can think
There may be times when I lose the light
And let my spirits sink
But I can't stay depressed
When I remember how I'm blessed

Grateful, grateful
Truly grateful I am
Grateful, grateful
Truly blessed
And duly grateful

In a city of strangers
I've got a family of friends
No matter what rocks and brambles fill the way
I know that they will stay in the end

I feel a hand holding my hand
It's not a hand you can see
But on the road to the promised land
This hand will shepherd me
Through delight and despair
Holding tight and always there

Grateful, grateful
Truly grateful I am
Grateful, grateful
Truly blessed
And duly grateful

It's not that I don't want a lot
Or hope for more, or dream of more
But giving thanks for what I've got
Makes me so much happier than keeping score

In a world that can bring pain
I will still take each chance
For I believe that whatever the terrain
Our feet can learn to dance
Whatever stone life may sling
We can moan or we can sing

Grateful, grateful
Truly grateful I am
Grateful, grateful
Truly blessed
And duly grateful

Make sure to take time to talk to your soul as Neptune stations this week.

Monday has a lovely Full Moon in Taurus, linking May 2008 to now. The Full Moon brings to light and culminates projects, emotions and feelings from then. Moon in Taurus is exalted and ends with a closing square to stationing Neptune so talking to your soul is particularly juicy under the lunation. Mercury fights with Uranus causing knowledge or communication stress that you need to take action to resolve. Sometimes Mercury wants you to see something that you don’t want to see. That can be the energy today. See what you love and adjust your understanding of it. It doesn’t mean you don’t still love it. Only that you don’t love it the way you used to or in the same “golly gee will lickers” manner that was the initial form of your love. Adjust. Mars fights with Uranus causing action stress that you need to notice and acknowledge and move to manage. Mercury and Mars are square to each other so words, actions, communications or drives can cause you to feel unable to express yourself clearly. Do something unusual to get your point across. Actually, there is a Hammer of Thor, or Fist of God, pounding away at you. Hammers ask you to take action or see/hear things in a different way. A break through of sorts takes place. Mercury is dishing the secrets even as Mars is acting loud and proud. Venus wants you talking to your soul and choosing the next path as she squares the Nodes. Often under conditions like today’s aspects, you are asked to choose between two seemingly irreconcilable choices ~ choose the love choice. Go higher rather than lower. Go toward what your soul wants and urges you to do.

Tuesday is election day. Minor elections to be sure but make sure to get out and vote. One person, one vote makes the world pay attention to your voice in the collective. Mercury has a surprise up his sleeve as he aspects stationing Neptune so watch for communications from the Lord of Messages. As Neptune stops in the sky, we all connect to the bigger picture of why we are here. It can also be a day or three of serious lethargy where all you want to do is sleep or dream. Try to incorporate conscious dreaming or lucid dreaming. Take time today for moments of solitude, contemplation and introspection. They can bring great healing to your soul. Lucid dreaming is often lost at a young age. Lucidity is a gift that returns—with the acceptance of ones individuality. Add to your days journaling, dream analysis, vision questing, bodywork, drumming, fasting and other forms of expression that bring about the natural alignment of your soul with your daily activities and routine. These activities stimulate your Soul to speak louder and clearer to your daily being and body and connect you back to your source.

Wednesday, Neptune stations direct. Ah. One of my most favorite days of the year. Mercury has a quintile aspect to the node so note your dreams upon awakening. Journal your day dreams. Keep track of the skitter scatterings of your resting mind while doing house hold chores. Often on Neptune stations we become aware of the role of water or fluid in our life. Note any “leaks” your life brings to your attention and search for the deeper symbolic meaning of them. Venus wants to make your home more connected to your soul’s vision of nurturing as she sextiles Vesta. Release things you no longer love. Allow the dreams and your soul to whisper in your ear today. Moon in Gemini offers all sorts of important communications about the future partners you will be working with. Closing aspects for Moon is a trine to Venus so push for those dreams and hopes of yours!

Thursday, Moon still in Gemini facilitates Mercury’s conversations with our deepest longings and wants. Mercury is combust the Sun today so the Mind and Ego are united in what they want to say and do. No one is impartial today. It just isn’t happening. So go with the understanding that you are actually hearing that Scorpio energy of the Sun speak from its deepest and more wordless place. Moon in Gemini forms trines to all of the Gang of Three. Moon links their wishes up with a way to say them. Venus has a gift of Love and Partnership with a long and deeply held dream. Say yes to questions posed by the universe. Give your heart permission to support your soul in what it wants. Make a strategic partnership with transformation as Pluto joins with Pallas. You can do it! Doesn’t your soul ache for connection?

Friday Moon in Cancer is about connection and relationships with home and family. Mercury is quite busy today communicating and connecting. Venus has an unusual gift of brilliance with Uranus suggesting you can creatively connect with some thing or some one you love. Watch for the opportunity. Talk to your soul. Listen to what it says to your heart.

Saturn’s day Cancer moon’s closing trine to Uranus suggests creative connections that nurture. Try to spend time today organizing or changing things that make you feel nurtured. After this week’s reconnection with your soul , see if you can add back to your life things that nurture your soul on a daily or weekly basis. It is so easy to get disconnected from the truly important things in our lives due to the day to day rough and tumble of life. Venus’ entry into Scorpio makes her passions firmer and clearer and less prone to hearing or listening to “NO you can’t do that!” Venus will want to know WHY she can’t do that. And because I say so or because your mother said so or your father said so or your teacher said so is not quite enough of a reason. Sure you may get burned or hurt but you are also a big person now so you might want to take your chances. Check in with your soul. Ask it what is wanted. Mercury in Scorpio pushes on Pluto to expand the definitions of what is possible. Remember positive Pluto ~ towards the transformation and hurting no one, go for it. Hurting someone, or two against one, not such a good idea. Would you like it done to you?

Sunday Moon in Leo is proud and happy working with Mars in a new way to move toward what she wants. Moon forms a six month long sojourn with Mars as HE will be going retrograde and spending a rather long time within the sign of Leo. Watch the passions today and tonight, especially as Moon unites with Mars below the horizon of earth, lighting up the fourth house for those of us on the East Coast of the USA. Look to where the union of Mars and Moon takes place in your chart ~ around 10 of Leo. That is a passion point for the next six months. Be prepared to spend a lot of time on it! Mercury is arguing with Jupiter that THIS is the DREAM. Maybe, maybe not. Keep checking in with your soul. Sometimes we think things are our dream because they satisfy a passing fancy or emotion. Jupiter is waiting to see what Mercury thinks when he gets OUT of Scorpio and into Aquarius. This is a closing square~ that means we are psychologically integrating a dream. Maybe it will be the basis for the next dream. Maybe it will be the jumping off point for the follow up dream which will come soon to your life. We don’t know yet. Keep talking to your soul. It knows exactly how to file or evaluate the dream before you. No final judgments on the dream just yet. Keep your eyes open and see what you see.

Mundane: The worldwide reveal that Afghanistan’s President’s brother is on the CIA payroll happened on Wednesday as Mercury entered Scorpio. One would, of course, logically make the assumption, that the President would also be on the CIA payroll. As a result, the opposition candidate for President withdrew from the highly contested run off elections. And Hillary Clinton spoke into the madness “There can be a perfectly legal run off election with only one candidate.” Saturn in Libra arrived.

The United States is about to have its 9th Saturn return. Our country has Saturn in Libra, high in the sky in the Sibley Chart cast for July 4, 1776, 5:10 pm Philadelphia, PA. We also have a Libra Midheaven. Nine is a karmic number, indicating completion of a major cycle. Those of us over 28 can attest to the excitement and joy of having a Saturn return. Saturn reaches our Midheaven on November 8, 2009 and dances back and forth over it all year.

I like to use a 10 degree approach to see what the challenges of the Saturn return will be. Certainly, the last year, our leadership (10th house) has been affected by the financial challenges and impacted the dominance of the dollar across the globe.

When I read for a client, a Saturn transit conjoined to the 10th house cusp offers an opportunity for awards, promotion or job loss. You reach a pinnacle of sorts and stand at the top of the chart or your world looking around saying “Is this all there is?” As a collective, we’ll have that kind of energy take place this next week as Saturn comes to the midheaven for the first pass of three. The other two are March 24, 2010 and August 2, 2010. Watch for major events in the news this week.

Saturn joins with our natal Saturn at 14 Libra 48 on NEXT December 3, 2010 and dances over Saturn during the NEXT year, 2011. That is technically our Saturn return. However, once Saturn enters Libra, we are working with the Saturn return energy. The knock on the door came last week, on Thursday.

And on a whiny note: WHY can’t they leave what is working fine alone? Part of the health care reform bill is a proposed $2,500 cap on the Flexible Spending Accounts. Flexible Spending Accounts, which allow people to shelter dollars in pre-tax income for known health needs such as medicine, co-pays and glasses, are currently unlimited although most firms offering them impose a $5,000 cap on them. Another way to suck money out of the beleaguered middle class.

Write your Congressperson and Senators to complain. Why do we always have to take the economic hit?

On another note, the lack of investigations and prosecutions for the financial collapse is starting to get on my nerves. The money went SOME PLACE! Some one TOOK the MONEY! Let’s go find it and get it back. And if they took the money illegally, lets send their sorry butts to jail! Of course, part of the reason there are no prosecutions is because our government was in on the bank heist. Ah Pluto in Capricorn. Were you listening when they said these banks were too big to fail?

Thanks for posting!

Question to everyone: how have you felt Neptune going direct in the past?

This lines up with something a person told me they're going to do on Saturday, just to try it. I don't like the idea, but it's their body and their life. I don't know why they told me about it, since they know that I wouldn't like it, and that I'll worry.

Something to keep in mind all of the time, whether or not Pluto and Mercury are cosying up...

I just read that again, and realized that it sits on my Uranus at 10 Leo, in the 8th house...boy I hope that's something good!

Uoh, 10 Leo is in my 9th hosue (equal) or in my 8th house (Placidus) - just like in your chart, VIG, not surprising since our ASC`s are conjunct.

It opposes my Pallas and Hera and conjuncts my Draco Chiron.
And funny though, it is opposing the Venus-NN-conjunction of my SR this year!
