If any of you have these in your relationship history tell me which you prefer and why? What is the difference in how they feel, or felt in your own experience. Is one better to have than the other? Comments and insights please...

Moon/mars is my preference, more primitive. I have a lot of earth in my chart which may explain the preference. Add pluto to that, even better.

Hi Ursa! By primitive, do you mean that the sexual experience seems or feels more fundamentally Real and Honest to you? Less pretense involved which liberates a person and sets them free! Is that what you mean?

Polo-
I don't know that I would use those words but I think we understand the same thing. Not sure how to explain myself- for me it goes to the heart of sexuality, venus feels more refined or cultured, conditioned! With the moon you get at the core of your instinct, mars seems that way too. Venus, to me, is more civilized than the other two. I like less civility I suppose but that's just me. Mars/moon harmonizes with the body imo, venus always feels more cerebral.

I must say, in my experience, the moon/mars aspect comes with a lot more emotional intensity. I had this conjunction with a guy I dated;his moon was conjuct my mars in Libra and I felt personally involved and ,to come extent, obsessed with him.I don't know if he felt the same way becuase the relationship ended on a cliffhanger and I hear that he still asks about me.

I had a moon(mine)/moon(his) square, venus(his)/sun (mine)square as well as Mars(his)/sun (mine) square with the party mentioned. Come to think of it, the other squares may have also had a hand to play in the interaction.

I have this aspect as well in my personal chart -though its a moon/mars square-and I read somewhere that it is "a dormant volcanoe that never stops erupting".

I guess this makes sense because I can really get ****** off, to point where I want to get phyiscal if I feel disrespected/hurt by someone.

I think the venus/mars conjunction makes for great friendship. I have this aspect with someone I live with. Our peronalities are way different but I think that this conjuction has a way of bringing our two worlds together.

I have sun/sun square as well as moon/moon square with the party mentioned.

I think I'd pick moon/mars any day, there is a high level of drama there....

Yeah, that's what I meant. Moon / Mars connects the two people at a deeper emotional level.

Ya know, I have heard this a couple of times before and I have a real life example, not myself, but one where I observe this to be true.

I have

my moon opposed to his mars
his moon trine my mars

and

my venus conjunct his mars

with a guy I'm seeing and, sex is so good I don't know whether to laugh or cry about it

I had an attempt to end it but he knows I enjoy it way too much to be able to end it so easily..

it's more a deeply sexual relationship though, I'm not sure about 'love'.

'Less pretense involved which liberates a person and sets them free!'

this is exactly how I feel about it but I don't know which combo it is that does that since we have both.. we also have sun-moon, moon-venus aspects etc

I think it's venus-mars that makes things easier, more natural.

and moon-mars is about how primitive deep emotional but ego-free sex can be.

you feel like you don't have to speak about how good it feels or how much you need it because the person already knows, or they can sense it or see it in your eyes, and they get emotional about wanting to help you out. feed you like a mother or something lol

Yes indeed! That is what it's about. Would you say that a person's maturity level would determine their preference for either of the two?

One of my brothers gay friends had his mars exactly on my gemini moon. I was excited around him and infatuated with him. His energy, the way he spoke would make me laugh and whatever he did was sexy.

However one night we went to a club and he kissed me and i was so turned off his girly kiss that after that he just irritated me.

I love mars opposite my venus. I had the craziest and best sex with my 1st husband but whatever touches my venus also touches my moon. So his mars was trine my moon. He would breathe on me and i could experience the big "O" hahahaha.

Other than that i havnt been with enough guys to compare but i can say the opposition of ven mars was great!

Im still looking for a man with an aqua mars

'Makes what easier?'

with venus-mars conjunction verbal/non-verbal communication just flows. I feel really comfortable in his presence and I can see that he likes being assertive or taking control most of the time without the fear of coming on too strong or being the one to heat things up

'What about the sex makes it so good in your opinion?'

it's probably the nurturing aspect that stems from moon-mars action. a feeling of unconditional, non-manipulative love or attraction, you know or feel that your partner is aware that it's not just sex, some emotional needs are also met through physical intimacy , you just feel close and taken care of

I think you could say that moon-mars aspects would be more appealing to emotionally mature or 'aware' people

I think I have read in one astrological article that Venus is more about what you like, while Moon is about what you need.
Venus is dessert, while Moon is the main meal.
So if that is true, Venus would be more about the appetite, while Moon might indicate hunger or cravings.

I have moon sq mars, moon sextile mars, moon sextile Venus and Venus sextile mars plus Venus/Pluto dw with someone and the sex is the best sex ever!

My god it just rocks on every level!!

Venus cj mars for me doesn't do half of that and didn't affect sex.

Which synastry combo do you like best and why?

(A)

  • Moon / Mars conjunct

  • Venus / Mars trine

  • Eros / psyche conjunct

Or...

(B)

  • Moon / Mars trine

  • Venus / Mars conjunct

  • Eros / Psyche opposition

That said, wouldn't this make a Moon / Mars conjunction be exactly what the Moon needs? While a trine or sextile would be basically what the Moon needs, but not exactly? Does this make logical sense?

I can relate to the fact that the Moon/Mars square and conjunction are VERY intense/emotional.

But I had the most rare!/intense!/creative!/passionate! kiss-experience with a guy I had this Moon(my)/Mars(his) conjunction with (imagine in Scorpio) - I could write a song about what I felt!
But we also shared a Mars(my)/Venus(his) opposition, so it's a bit difficult what's responsible..
I never shared this in synastry with anyone, not even one of them.

With another guy I shared a DW Moon/Mars trine and well, that was the biggest washing machine kiss of my life. I had to learn him how to kiss
Ofcourse we never reached above level - too rare.

I think I will prefer A. I have this aspect (psyche/eros)with someone special and I'am really intrested to know how it works closed and in the reality

My on and off relationship in 2 year have a DW moon/mars(quinkunx,sextil) and Sun/venus(opp/square). The time when we be togheter and was in harmony to each other it was fantastic. The dynamic in bed I've never learnt before. It can't describes with word.

In my longterm relationship (in 15 year) we have a venus/mars trine and thats was also ok. No connection between our moon/mars between us.
