Ok, so I was thinking...

Now if you are supposed to look more like your asc then your Sun, why do sun sign books say things like, "How to recognize a (insert sign here)?"

AND

Would you also take on the appearance of the sign whose house your asc is in? If so, that is 3 different things to try and decipher someones sign by.

Wouldn't it be easier, assuming your in person, to observe the ACTIONS to determine the sign, rather then the looks?

*Just rambling-insomnia.

hmmm this thought has crossed my mind as well.

A lady I worked with for a few months asked me what my star sign was. When I said Taurus she said "ohhh that's what I thought you were!" ...

now .. she did know my personality as well but also my physical appearance played a big role.

I'm definitely of a solid build ... not dainty.. but I have very dainty hands and feet... very strange .. I always attributed that to my Aquarius ASC.

My theory is that Aquarius rules the blood circulation and ankles I tihnk.. (so we will be prone to problems there) .. now I think my hands and feet are dainty (long slender fingers and toes) because I have blood circulation issues (not serious though) and that can be seen easily at your extremities. When you are cold the first place to lose circulation are your toes and fingers. My hands and feet in winter are perpetually cold even in shoes and in bed.

So maybe your ASC looks are more prominent accordining to the area of the body it rules.

Again.. just my own theory

Last night, I asked someone what her sign was and she was a Taurus.
She felt like a Taurus in that she is solidly grounded on the earth unlike an air sign such as I.
I think that you are right, Gypsee, in your theory about the whole person . xxoo Ami

I go by Sun for the basic/essential bedrock personality that will also show in physicality, the Sun to me is like the background of their looks, the Asc traits/looks are a light layer (or heavy layer depending on what else is in their asc sign) over their Sun, the Moon I see more in the face and their moods when anything theyre feeling is above or below baseline, other people disagree but Ive seen too many repeats to disqualify the moon as not having a hand in physical form.

And I think when you read descriptions of any sign's looks, you can take that as Asc, Sun, Moon, Venus too. Theyre interchangeable, and for me it only gets easier the more people you know etc., but it does take a while to get the hang of it.. And its always easier in person

Im not sure what this means here.

Yes, actions (60% or so) taken together with looks (40%) are MUCH more helpful than looking at a simple picture. Seeing someone's reactions to various situations esp. over time helps a lot.
