I just saw a strange commercial on t.v.. Your worries maybe correct. The commercial directed me to this webpage. Please follow what it says. http://www.ready.gov/america/ Wait, actually I dont know about that. hmm. There seems to be a national disaster that is going to take place and the government is going to force you to drink their water and things of that nature but don't do it. Theres something planned out that involves the disaster and offers the "solution". Lots of planes are flying above my house. Please pray for me. Pray that the Creator and his Angels can build a strong enough shield for me and my family. Thanks! IP: Logged |

The govt is trying to encourage people to have supplies ready in case of any disaster, nothing specific. They have to put commercials because most people don't take potential disaster seriously, in practice. Here in California they tried to put info out about earthquake disasters 2 yrs ago but even then most of em didnt pay attention, they read the lit, if that, and that was it. People are so lazy nowadays that it needs to be on TV to get noticed. It's a good thing. And where's the bit about water? The site says go get your own, in gallons, right now, as part of your safety kit. On the other hand, I wouldn't put it past 'em to manufacture a disaster in order to gain more control. But contaminated water is something else.. The US govt should actually be looking out for its own. There are way too many people here who love home-grown terrorism. If you ask me they have it coming. A girl can dream that that's what Uranus in Aries means IP: Logged |

Paranoia. Natural disasters happen all the time in this country. This is just telling you what you can do to be prepared. I don't see it saying anywhere to drink "government" water...Why do people have such a fear of the government (and somehow tend to ignore corporations who poison your food, water, environment, etc)? Sure, it is good to be cynical of the government, but asking people to pray for you because planes fly over your house? I am getting sick of hysterical people, let me tell you. IP: Logged |

This is a book written by an aussie Leo writer (John Birmingham): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Without_Warning_%28novel%29 Maybe it'll give you some ideas on national disasters & so forth.. quote: On the eve of Operation Iraqi Freedom in March 2003 the bulk of the United States' population (along with the bulk of the populations of Canada, Mexico, and Cuba) disappears as the result of a large energy field that becomes known as The Wave. Without Warning deals with the international consequences of the disappearance of the world's last super power on the eve of war.

lol Honestly I'm not saying this to be sarcastic.. quote: There seems to be a national disaster that is going to take place and the government is going to force you to drink their water and things of that nature but don't do it. Theres something planned out that involves the disaster and offers the "solution".Lots of planes are flying above my house. Please pray for me. Pray that the Creator and his Angels can build a strong enough shield for me and my family.
That would work well in a script. The first paragraph could be the start of the movie.. a television in the background and someone reading the news saying something along those lines.. and then suddenly going off air. The second paragraph could be a person praying outside, screaming.. while military aircraft flies over the top. Picture a stormy afternoon. Eerie music.
I like it.. IP: Logged |

like the eyes in portraits, esp the mona lisa...i guess if you wanted to you could cite that as proof that the moon is a hologram put there to deceive us...plenty of people believe that too. of course i can't prove it's real either!!when i first came to california the memory of loma prieta was still fresh in lots of minds. i bought a few gallons of distilled water to have on hand. HUGE two gallon jugs. put them in a cupboard and there they sat for yonks, taking up a whole cupboard...and one day i realized that even distilled water doesn't stay "fresh" forever, ie you cannot keep those plastic containers indefinitely!! so don't do it that way!! buy a few jugs maybe, but remember you have to keep them circulating, use them and replace them maybe one by one...as to emergency kits, most of their contents are probably already in your house, in a real emergency you will be happy to tear up sheets for bandages etc, and if you go to the trouble of stocking up on canned goods for goodness sake make sure they are edible without cooking!! one of the first things to go will be your power. regular table salt and alcohol are good sterilizers, etc... nothing wrong with being prepared but really being paranoid is not going to help you one BIT! I agree, it's always good to be prepared. I've gone through a number of natural disasters myself on a rather substantial scale :*Earthquakes (in CA, the big one in LA back in '94) *Tornado (in Nashville, while I was driving) *Hurricanes (2 big ones in Florida which left us without electricity for 9 days) *Flood (in LA) *Sandstorm, more recently (in nowheresville aka Siwa, Egypt, while on vacation. Survived on limited water for 7 days lol) ...I'm wondering what natural disasters I've left out I also was shooting a film back when the Rodney King riots happened in LA. My car broke down and I almost got torched lol) And then there was after 9/11, when it was a lot of fun to fly while being of Arabic descent...ok, that's not a disaster, but it's pretty annoying Again, it's good to be prepared, but you never know when things can just....happen. So get yourself a kit, read some real news (read: nonconspiracy-based journalism, not that I think the government is sooo trustworthy ) , and just learn to trust your instincts. Nothing like camping alone for a few days to raise awareness, become more spiritual as well as physically aware. Most of us live in precious little communities and thus panic whenever we see the slightest possibility that our precious hides might be in 'danger' (hint: we're never 100% safe...we just like the concept of security and many people have been breastfed into a dull stupor, which is why I suggest something as rigorous as camping out in the elements, or at the very least challenging one's own comfort zone by trying something DIFFERENT.)

I will join the paranoid people list and especially in america. I mean for gods sake the whole government planned september 11.I did get an email warning that they were putting fluoride in water trying to decrease the population or some crap. I dont trust them though. Obviously with all good reason. American government doesnt give a toss who dies, otherwise they wouldnt be in iraq right now. They pay and use money as power to kill and ruin thousands of peoples lives for their own benefit. I think you should be cautious. ------------------

Your husband has a good sense of irony quote: the idiot box (tv) is a mass brainwashing tool. and your government never has/had your best interests in mind.
The tv was never made to teach people, just to entertain. The mistake a lot of people make is to assume anything else. Governments always only have their best interests in mind, nothing we can do about it short of going into politics ourselves. If we don't want to do that, we shouldn't complain about our governments. ... Hey, I come from a country where the government doesn't even know how to govern. A typical indecisive Libra country... Sigh.

belgz - there is plenty wrong with the states but i wonder how much time you have spent here or when you became an expert on what actually goes on here? i too have a certain "distrust" of govts and politicians - in general it is a hard job to do without being led down the yellow brick road - but it sounds like you might be getting your info from the more extreme sources? i really think everyone needs to turn down the sturm und drang and not get sucked into the vortex of chaos and anger that SOME people are trying so hard to create. THAT will lead to disaster. keeping your head will help prevent it. hopefully there are enough intelligent people to counterbalance the rabble-rousing that is going on in so MANY places at the moment... the grand cross this summer can be a good thing, after all 4-square is a very STABLE configuration. maybe it will be what keeps us from blowing apart at the core!! but it is up to those with enough awareness to hold it...plenty of volatility is brewing too for sure. no he doesn't read this stuff. he has been doing that for two weeks now. he gets random stuff stuck in his head and repeats it alot. its either endearing or nerve wracking depending on the circumstances.last summer it was his new hit song, if ya don't like it throw it away, if you don't know what it is, throw it away. he sang that for at least 3 months over and over. i suppose it wouldn't be a bad idea to have an emergency preparedness kit. kinda like a first aid kit, its just there if you ever need it. supposing chicken little is ever right and the sky actually does fall in. iq - i had a similar dream once. hard one to shake, but it was at least 3 years ago. it was like a nuclear explosion and in northern calif, and i was a survivor trying to reach my kids to etell them i was ok...it was an odd dream.
