just following off of Lara's thread - she believes to be a virgo rising and had a difficult birth.

raymond is a virgo rising and had a difficult birth.

my daughter is a virgo rising and had a difficult birth.

completely random?

my little virgo riser is as stubborn as can be and the more you try to move her the more she balks. I can see her doing that in birth too.

any other virgo AC's with long or difficult labors?

Yes, totally random.
I had a traumatic birth and have a Taurus rising. I don't think you will be able to say from just a rising sign if someone gets a difficult birth!

However, I do have Mars in the 1st and I have heard that many with Mars in the first esp conjunct ascendant tend to suffer birth trauma to the head or face somehow (I was taken out by the salad spoons).

My husband is Virgo rising. His mother said the birth was fine but afterwards she had problems.

This is a sign of long ascendancy so there is every chance you will find a reasonable number of people who were a difficult birth. Personally I don't think there is anything significant going on.

My nephew and my cousin are both virgo risings and they had easy and quick births, so there must be some other factor that would contribute to a difficult birth.

I don't think it really means anything

The overall chart has to be looked

My Virgo Ascendant is modified by a conjunction to dwarf planet/Plutoid,Haumea (It's the equal of Pluto,Eris,Makemake in Astronomy) with 2'10 orb.
Haumea also squares my Midheaven with 3 minutes of arc.

My Moon in Pisces is also in t-square, squaring the opposition of retrograde Saturn in Gemini and Jupiter-Neptune in Sagittarius with corresponding midpoint pictures of Moon oppose Saturn/Neptune midpoint and Saturn semisquare Moon/Jupiter midpoint.

In Right Ascension, the Moon square Jupiter-Saturn is closer, and so I have Moon oppose Jupiter/Saturn midpoint in Right Ascension.

My Moon is is also in t-square with retrograde transneptunian dwarf planet candidate, Varuna in Gemini and Neptune in Sagittarius for a t-square with a corresponding midpoint picture of Moon oppose Neptune/Varuna midpoint.

In Right Ascension,Moon in 8th harmonic aspect with Eris and Saturn with corresponding midpoint picture of Eris conjunct Moon/Saturn midpoint.

Virgo Rising..
My mother was in labor for about two days and they ended up delivering by csection. I had dislocated hips and was positioned in a way that I wouldn't line up properly to deliver and they finally had to do it that way when my heartbeat started fading. :-/

edit:
both of my nephews have Virgo rising (one at the same degree as me, and the other less than a degree in difference)

Nephew #1 was born three weeks early but the delivery was quick. He weighed 6.3..and had trouble gaining weight but was an overall healthy baby.

Nephew #2 was born a few days ahead of schedule, and was also quite small. The delivery was also quick and easy, but the pregnancy had my sister worried due to something about the Umbilical cord being weak?

i imagined not. my daughter has an exact opposition of saturn and moon which IQ said captured the birth trauma.

it just seemed weird that 3 conversations of bad births, 3 virgo risers.

Probably a coincidence. I had a difficult birth (unplanned c-section), my mom almost died. I'm a Gem Rising. I do have Saturn opposite ASC, though.

My friend who has Pluto conjunct her ASC was supposed to be a twin but she absorbed it in the womb.

Im virgo rising and my mum was in labour for 42 hours with me because i was breach or something then she refused to let them use forceps or a C section and delivered naturally after they moved my head from her leg down to the proper position. I was 2 weeks early.

I have saturn and pluto trine moon. (2 deg orb)

my daughter's birth was a lot like lara's...tho she has virgo IN her 1st she is leo rising...i think it way more pertinent that her 12th house moon is squared by venus which is opposed by pluto/saturn. i always thought that t-square described her mother (me, at the time) and her birth very well. fortunately PROGRESSIONS HAPPEN!

one cookbook astrologer who did her chart said it indicated a difficult, controlling mother lmao, i couldn't have been less like that if i tried - wait, i DID try! but my situation at the time felt a lot like that t-square and her moon is conjunct my juno/angel/dsc

Do you have any hard aspects involving the Moon,Ascendant,and/or Midheaven?

any of the large transneptunian objects involved

I believe that hard aspects to the large transneptunian objects like Pluto can be involved in traumas.
Both Makemake and Haumea are transneptunian dwarf planets that are named after creation fertility deities. Makemake is named after Rapanui male creation fertility deity. Haumea is named after Hawaiian female creation fertility deity.

for example:

I have Moon square transneptunian dwarf planet, candidate Varuna

I have Haumea conjunct the Ascendant and square the Midheaven.

Moon,Ascendant,Midheaven hard aspects involving the heliocentric, geocentric nodes of Saturn,Uranus,Neptune, transneptunians could be involved too.

for example:

I have Geocentric Uranus Node oppose the Midheaven and square the Ascendant and Heliocentric Uranus Nodes square the Ascendant.

I checked for any close
transneptunian to my mom's chart
which is also my synastry with her

Transiting 2002 AW197 in 15'14 Cancer R
conjunct her Mercury in 15'26 Cancer
oppose/conjunct North Lunar Nodes in 14'53 Cancer/Capricorn

2002 AW197 is a dwarf planet candidate because it's over 700 km in diameter. If an object is in hydrostatic equilibrium (making it round), it qualifies for dwarf planet status. For it to be in hydrostatic equilibrium, it has to be at least 400 km in diameter. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%2855565%29_2002_AW197

Transiting Uranus in 15'17 Libra
square her Mercury
square her Lunar Nodes

Mercury rules her 4th house

also

her Venus/Mars midpoint is in 15'26 Libra

Venus/Mars midpoint is a midpoint that is associated with the reproductive organs.

I found something strange when I looked amy mom's Solar Arcs

Her Solar Arc 2002 AW197 was in 15'15 Cancer, and so it squared her Venus/Mars midpoint. Transiting 2002 AW197 triggered that Solar Arc picture, almost exactly conjunct her solar arc 2002 AW197,conjunct her 4th house ruler Mercury, and square her Venus/Mars midpoint. Transiting Uranus triggered the Solar Arc picture, conjunct her Venus/Mars midpoint, almost exactly square her solar arc 2002 AW197,square her Mercury.

I have moon exactly cnj n.n. on my MC and it is opposite neptune.

Saturn and pluto only make sextile and trine aspects in my chart. Sat and plu are trine my moon-nep opposition.

What are the big transneptunian objects besides Pluto doing in your chart

recommended orbs:
3 degrees
for all ptolemaic aspects except sextile that gets 2 degrees

1 degree for quincunx,semisextile,semisquare,sesquiquadrate,quintile,biquintile

The big transneptunian objects that have names, and so have correlating archetypes include
Eris,Pluto,Makemake,Haumea,Sedna,Orcus,Quaoar,Varuna,and Ixion

These are known as the evolutionary intensified objects
Evolutionary suggests that emotional and spiritual crisis induced by the presence and passage of these bodies intends to enhance the insight, inspiration, creativity and consciousness of a person on Earth and through events on Earth containing these bodies in significant locations.

It would makes sense that hard aspects involving these objects can indicate traumatic experiences. Transneptunian,Pluto is already given some credit for that. It makes sense for the other big transneptunians to be involved too. Therefore, they could be in hard aspects to Moon,Ascendant,Midheaven in difficult births.

I was 17 days late. The doctors attempted to induce labor in my mother three times unsuccessfully. Ultimately, I was a c-section baby! Lol.

I've heard the same thing about scorpio moons. I'm virgo rising, and was a normal delivery/birth. My son, on the other hand, is a scorpio moon & was c-section.
