Say your ascendant falls in someone's 8th house, do you effect them in transformative ways, sexual attraction etc. Does your ascendant effect whatever house it falls in someone's chart? I was just wondering how the ascendant effects the charts in synastry through the houses. Thanks.

I think it does....but in synastry (texts anyway) I don't remember seeing it mentioned?

It feels like the Asc is the driving force that gets things moving and puts the rest of the chart in motion, everything is filtered through it, so in synastry, for me, it feels like the house it falls in would be somewhat akin to a Mars placement, it's a house where they (the Asc person) would try to initiate/would push for that kind of bond. H1 is easy, Asc person would identify with h1 and have similar outlooks, a feeling of being on the same team, even if in diff signs, there will still be pts of familiarity. In H4 Asc would like a family feeling with the house person and would focus on making that bond of closeness however they could. Asc in H11, Asc would likely push for friendship no matter how different the 2 seemed, etc. For the house person, to me it seems they're passive in the whole thing. When looking at Asc house placement, I look @ the aspects too and @ the Asc ruler since that will fill out the picture.
