The best deals are on
http://www.newegg.com/ http://www.tigerdirect.ca/ I whould stay away from the new i5 processors or i7 processors unless you really need it.
Unless, your really multitasking, you really won't see a diffrence.
As for Macs,
Well typically the software is better on Macs then PC's are.
But the hardware(Video Card, CPU)is nicer on PC's.
They don't even have any core i7 processors on Mac's yet.
But, it doesn't really matter its software that matters most.
I don't typically like macs, but thats because I typically buy the more expensive laptops($2000- 3000) and replace every 4yrs, of course not everyone whould have that kind of a budget.
My PC, gets a higher expected budget then repairs for my car, LoL
So I don't see much diffrence between mac and Pcs. I'm sure if you buy those cheapo $500 laptops you'll say PC's suck.
No Mac can beat an Alienware laptop.
I'm using a Dell M6400 laptop right now, with a Quadro 2700fx video card.
Spec and performace wise its matches or is better then most macs out there. But it cost about $2500.
I'm Thinking of an Alienware or an asus g51jx-a1
But, the asus has problems with the keyboard, Once again a software problem.
Other then that I don't what you guys are doing to wreck Pc's
I fixed my old Pentium 4 and its from 2002 its still running fine, its even only on 512mb of memory, which is laughable.
Since we can go up to 16gig of memory.
and My old Dell Precision m90 lasted me 5yrs including 3 minor falls, when I dropped it.
Anyway, macs or more of a specialty upscale niche market,
I whould fit in the Desktop Replacment niche/ Gaming Laptops so macs whouldn't fit my bill
