One of the things I've noticed with astrology - and maybe even with my own life in general - is the sheer desire to find connections and answers to mysteries within myself and my own behavior and how it manifests in my own chart in day-to-day life.

I remember reading a description of Virgo and going ehhh, wtf is this ? Then going deeper and realizing that I was a 5th house sun with no aspects - and how disjointed this placement in general would feel. Granted, Virgo descriptions tend to be pretty LAME ... but even then I could understand some of my disassociation. And the sheer exhilaration of realizing I was an Aries moon...not just that, but a 12th house one, with Uranus opposing my moon, and Chiron conjunct that moon very closely. How far down the rabbit hole did I go ...either way, something 'clicked', and I felt 'freed' in some way with a little knowledge..free to be myself.

I don't know that i am asking anything in particular here...it's just that when I found out about my placements, I went batsht and completely was able to say why I was as I was. Add transits. Add progressions. Solar arcs, horary, etc. etc.... And yet at the end of the day...I am still ME, which is ultimately more freeing than anything, and yet it's simultaneously the biggest disappointment because it's like armchair travel lol.
You're still exactly where you started out... you've just let yourself experience something new. You didn't go to Hawaii, you just did a lot of research on your.... Hawaiin roots, and did some Google mapping

There's a distinct difference to me between identifying certain tendencies in my personality and going out of my way to exhibit those things. When I first learned certain things in astrology which I identified, I noticed a tendency to go out of my way to exhibit them on a magnified scale. Maybe to own them?

I sometimes wonder how much we learn from astrology which we initially just latch on to because we want SO MUCH to just connect the dots, to get an answer.

My Jupiter t-square wonders about this because Jupiter in Aqua sits at the top of my chart as a singleton, squaring my Venus which conj the 7th and Mars which conj the 1st (as both planets oppose). The issue of identity and self (Mars) versus conformity and relationships (Venus) has always been a struggle for me on a large scale. I am ultra senstive of whether I am giving too much of myself, or being too selfish. My way of dealing with the issue is highly Jupiterian (in Aqua) because I very much want both sides to be always *happy* dammit, and never give in...and yet how can that happen? Thank ye gods Saturn sextiles my Mars and trines my Venus from the 3rd. As long as I can talk about this kind of thing, maybe I have a fighting chance.

I feel that when something is new to us and we really want to relate, we tend to Identify first, and then Exhibit even more of that behavior which we just identified. Often, when we don't realize that we are that mercy of over-identifying to the point of exhibitionism. We find something which resonates with us, so we attach ourselves to it and it defines us, instead of the other way around. I don't know if you do this, but I have. I think it's totally part of the process of assimilation, btw. It's part of the process. I just think it's good to keep an eye on lest we become parodies of ourselves lol ... losing the human touch point in order to be at the mercy of a definition of our Self that someone has written. It was a person who wrote it, you know. It wasn't breathed out by the stars. There's plenty of room for misinterpretation still. We are still part of the defining process of astrology...and nothing has yet been written in stone, nor will it EVER be so.

I guess the ultimate thing here I would like to say is that NO ONE is a slave to their chart. Or an aspect, or a placement. It really concerns me to witness the amount of sadness in a lot of these posts. NOTHING is 'wrong' with you. We are people first. You are yourself first, last, and always.
Our charts tell a story, and how eloquently we express it doesn't matter, because you don't have to *act* like a Scorpio Moon to be a Scorpio Moon. You are yourself, so just be yourself first and foremost. And stop blaming your chart for your shortcomings. For why he won't call. For why there was pain in your life. You are still yourself at the end of the day and the lifetime, and do not need to morph into the knowledge you acquire. Astrology is a map, but it's not the territory. You are yourself. You are it. The 'One'. That's the ultimate 'secret' they are trying to sell you. It's the one you already know in your bones and are trying to get back to

Good message MVM!

Being so very rabbit hole curious myself there has to be a stage of peaceful self-acceptance. It's kind of like continuously trying on cloths that either fit or don't fit. (and gee am I picky about how my cloths fit) It's like opening Pandora's Box. I am all for lifting the veils as a seeker though, to obtain understanding. I do trust that everything is always revealed when, how, and as it should be.

But truly I've discovered:

Over-analyzing can be paralyzing.
The more I know, the less I know.
"Sometimes a cigar, is just a cigar."
We are ALL in the same boat and fellowship or our shared connectedness with others is a great comfort. We are never alone in our thinking, feeling, or being and it is truly self-actualizing and freeing when we awaken to this awareness.

You are right, blame supposedly represents the lowest state of consciousness. I'm guessing that we all ultimately want to rise above that state of being. Astrology can be a wonderful guide, that enables us to rise above that paralyzing state of being. Like a skilled chess player, we can make some smart moves and not feel so defeated or bound.

I don't appreciate your insults. What the hell is wrong with you, coming into people's well-meaning threads and calling them idiots?

I always identified more strongly with Aquarius energy and thought it was a mistake that my AC was Cap and not Aqua until I learned that my Mars is in Aqua in my first house conjunct my NN.

Let's get back on topic now...
