Hello everyone!

I've always felt the weight of existence from an early age—my mom had a complicated pregnancy and I've always felt that I was a burden to my family for many reasons, and this feeling follows me until this day (I'm 30). I also feel like a lot of dumb bs happens to me randomly, to the point that even my friends joke that I'm unlucky. Lately, I've been studying my own chart and particularly the role of Chiron in my life, and I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

I have Chiron in (Cancer 22°09'25") conjunct my Ascendant (Cancer 25°56'10") and conjunct my South Node (Cancer 22°51'08").

I'd like to know your opinions on this, your experiences with Chiron and/or these aspects, and how they relate to existential pain and suffering.

Hello Pale Blue Eyes,
I'm not certain what they do but some instances of critical degrees are noted as not easy. Your Ascend deg I believe, as they round them up, us @a critical deg.

I think you might be very sensitive. Maybe in many senses. It might be you are highly emotional? Maybe people seek you out for their healing and you get overwhelmed?

I think if you research your deg of the asc placement, it might help shed further understanding.

This part right there, it happens a lot. It's something that I'm noticing more and more these days.

A close friend said something to me like "I was feeling **** , then I talked to you about it and three hours later these amazing things happened to me" and laughed about it, called me his 'lucky charm', and while I felt happy for him, I also felt SO DRAINED.

So yeah, it's kind of a pattern. Someone comes to me with a ton of problems, they talk to me and get better. Meanwhile, I get dragged down. Interesting that it may have something to do with these Chiron aspects.

And I'll definitely check the critical degrees stuff. Thanks for pointing it out to me

Chiron can be a challenging planet to deal with. We have had numerous threads here with diametrically opposing viewpoints on Chiron, so if there is a way for you to do a search, you might want to do one on this forum.

The combination of Chiron and South Node on the ascendant can be difficult. I firmly believe in every trial there is a silver lining, and that we were not just made to come to earth and have a crappy fated life.

Remember that the astrological chart is a blueprint, but our thoughts and actions determine what become of our lives.
If you didn't know you had Chiron conjunct ascendant and you felt all those things you feel, you might have sought therapy and heal whatever issues you have.

SO HEAL YOURSELF. DON"T ALLOW YOURSELF TO CARRY THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD ON YOUR SHOULDER. Who died and left you God of the world?

Chiron on ascendant tells me you can be a healer, so if I were you, I would step into that role and study healing modalities, whether traditional, complementary or orthodox medicines.

South node conjunct ascendant means an emphasis on spirituality and service to others. It doesn't mean you are a servant. So don't downgrade yourself because you are of service to others. Service properly understood can be a beautiful thing.

Thank you for your words, Belage!

I'm in a journey of self-discovery and everything you said resonates deeply with what I'm going through right now.

This is one of the harder placements in the chart. It seems that people see your pain and as many bullies do---victimize you.

Hey, Ami Anne.

I wouldn't say people "bully me" but I definitely feel like a lot of people around me can be energy vampires, even unconsciously. Across all spheres (familiar, romantic, professional) I attract a lot of people who are not bad at all, but want to be near me because my presence heals them in some way, and that is extremely draining.

Like I mentioned in previous posts, I have friends constantly telling me how my presence soothes them/helps them/makes things better, and while I feel happy to be there for them, it leaves me exhausted and sometimes even physically ill. So I'm trying to say "sorry, I can't help you right now" for my own sake.
